not cool

arrived to find the check in lady in a bad mood, complaining about her work. drove 8 hours and chose hotel for location and parking; on arrival, I'm told no parking available (actually, my daughter is told) On website, I chose hotel for parking criteria. then she tells me I can have a parking but have to pay extra. This was not mentioned at any time during reservation process... Next elevator gets stuck before afore mentioned lady tells me there's another elevator room had terrible sound proofing, single panel windows. room clean and bed ok.

Hotel should start to do reno soon. Lobby is ok but room is rather old

walking distance to the seaside with great views. Bus stop is very near and there is a Chinese rest nearby which serve great chinese food

Book a family room but light switch not working and have to sleep with lights "on". Offer to change us to 2 rooms but not connected and 1 of the room has 2 doors (meaning have to open 2 doors before you can go inside). So we decided to sleep in 1 room but they offer us a bigger room but only 1 queen size bed.

Perfect for Christmas celebration in Montreux!

Very close to Montreux Noel, right next to a bus stop, and close to a variety of restaurants and shops. Plus points is the balcony where you can enjoy the city view.

Old world elegance, modern comfort

The hotel is a 10 minute walk or 2 bus stops from the main station, and only 4 minutes from the lake. This is a wonderful old building with great ambience, and it was a great shame not to be able to stay longer. Our double room was spacious, comfortable and had a large modern bathroom. Long livesuch elegant re.inders of the past (late 19th century).

All the power sockets in.our 2 rooms were the unusual Swiss type - yes, I know we were in Switerland but other hotels had both Swiss and conventional sockets. Fortunately the reception desk provided an appropriate adaptor. Otherwise nothing to report.

Good location for the Shops and food in Montreux

rooms are good and have good view. Location is perfect with the transportation very convenient and parking though a little inconvenient is good that our vehicles are all sheltered.

There is no place for the interim to park to unload. Would be great to have one Breakfast can be much better priced or to include into the room packages. I had the croissant and coffee as I do not need the whole full breakfast.

Very nice to stay

The property is clean, good and you have big double beds mattress. Location is very central Montreux, short distance to shops, groceries and train stations. You have indoor parking space.

Embarrassing

- Location - clean bed

- Needs urgent renovation - Rooms smell - They ask for breakfast 17 francs, but if you didnt book before, they ask 20 francs. We were told this, but after seeing the facilities of this hotel, this is just embarrassing to see hotel like this. I think this is a good think, but not in this conditions. At this stage, it is important to be very kind in reception and try to make guest feel like home at least. - Breakfast has almost no products, it is just salami and cheese.

Location was great. Beds were sooooo comfortable. Room size was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful.

We booked parking. Not told where it was and needed key to get in. Impossible to go to hotel and get it as there are no places to stop. Suggest code pad so this isn't an issue. Staff were very accommodating though, and came to open up for us. The shower flooded the bathroom as water did not drain. We were promptly given another room, which was a pain as we had to repack, and one of us was wet and undressed

It’s central location.

The fact we got given a room that was obviously needing renovations. We travelled with friends and there room was far superior to ours and we booked on the same day. I felt very disappointed in this.

The hotel was very dirty, with spider webs in the corners and on the lights, mold in the bathroom, no boiler or iron unless we requested and collected them ourselves, and none of the basic essentials were available.

Ok to stay

Location, WiFi We were given a very small room when we first checked in. We couldn’t find a spot for our luggage ( we only had one luggage), we went to the front desk and got a bigger and nicer room. The staff was willing to help.

No kettle and cups in the room, it means you cannot make your own coffee or tea. You need to use your own glass or cup to drink water.
