Perfect location, very friendly and accommodating staff. Would happily stay again

Very easy to find and perfect for the reason I came over. Came to watch my friend play for SV Spittal so the location was perfect as it’s literally next door Only a 9 min walk to the train station. Lovely restaurant as well , same place as you check in. Perfect location and the views of the mountains are lovely. Ryanair messed up my flight on the 5th of November which lead to me needing to fly out on the 6th. I contacted the property and they very kindly waived my first booking and let me rebook for the 6th-7th. Was very kind Room was exactly as described. 2 towels provided with a very comfortable bed. Great value for the money

If I was going to be very picky, the shower had abit of gel left on the shower floor but that’s it. Nothing else. Was very clean otherwise

I booked into an 8 bed dormitory but was given a room to myself (with 4 beds in it) - this was a bonus but I think this might be common when staying here. Bathrooms were kept tidy. Location not too far from the train station but certainly not central.

I wouldn't call this a hostel - more like an abandoned hotel...seems to be attached to a spots club, located adjacent to tennis courts and athletics grounds. No common space (besides from restaurant) and no kitchen. The female bathroom on my floor only had two showers and they are joint so you could be showering naked with a stranger. Staff were very unwelcoming at first - 2/3 staff I interacted with were not willing to communicate in English. Once I started using Google Translate, they became more accommodating.

It took a long time to find the codes to get in (eventually rescued by a lovely lady at the restaurant next-door), and the bathroom facilities are quite old.

Tried to mail them before to extend my stay, but no one answered. The owners/staff doesn't speak english. After some confusion, my questions were answered in a phone with the owners daughter (?). No reception at the property. Didn't get any messages or advice where to go to logg in /how to get the key. The property looked empty, but the back door was open. Finally i went to ask the instructions fom the tennis hall restaurant, and got the instructions from there. Unfortunately, they weren't totally correct and for a short while i was a bit confused if i have a room at all. The back door was open during the whole stay (day and night), witch felt a bit unsafe. First i didn't get any hot water to my room. No one told me that i have to run the water 5-10 minutes to get the hot water. First night i didn't wash myself at all because of the lack of hot water. Then in the morning, there was about one hours period, when there wasn't any water coming from the hot side. Finally i washed my hair with ice cold water. Later i got the explanation that ther were some workers that must have shut down the hot water for a while.

Beds are comfortable, Staff is kind, they tried to arrange us a vegan dinner and breakfast, pizza with vegetables with no mozzarella was great but breakfast was very simple with bread and jam and little fruit.

Showers are in common, there are two showers in the women's toilet, there aren't courtains dividing the showers, so you could end up showering with a stranger.

We did like the possitive attitude of most of the staff.

Breakfast was simle without possibility of choice, but quite ok. Rooms were very basic, but still ok. What I did not like was that 2 out of 3 people serving us did not speak English at all. We were forced to learn basic German. One waitress was first pushing us to make an order while we were having trouble to go through the menu in German. We just needed time. We were somehow struggling to explain her we need time to read it. Then she started blinding/ignoring us because of our inability to speak proper German. We had to push throuh somehow. :)

Contrary to what Google shows, it is not next to a functioning lift. The cabin lift next to the pension has been closed for 5 years, apparently. You need to drive to the lift, which was OK for us, but a bit disappointing.

The most convenient stopover location in Spittal. Good value and easy to find since next to the cable car station. Nothing fancy, but spotlessly clean and with comfortable beds.

Since hardly anyone packs towels into the luggage these days it is impractical if there are none.

It was very noisy at night and I couldn't leave my bike in my room or other safe place, It was in the hall, where people were going downstairs during all the night. The cleaner entered my room when I was still in bed, at 9,30 and invited me to leave the room as soon as posible (check out was supposed to be at 11...).

Only good calm location in the valley! Beautiful nature outside of the property. And loved the cleanliness of (inside of) the property! Also free parking was good.

Check-in was shocking, I was late due to heavily traffic jam on Slovenian-Austrian border, reached at 22:50, then spent more than hour outside the property with young kids - at 00:10 to enter the building (with help of someone who was also staying there already) without knowing even the room number, called the contact number 9 times without success, after checking all the hotels in the area (no success in getting a room) I got a call from the property owner with excuse that she didn’t have internet to reply. WC/Bathroom was 50m outside of the room. There was no breakfast in offer, only beer and coffee available at bar (both were not wished but took coffee). 2 coffees and 2 teabags costed me 10 Eur. Room costed me 109,95 Euro - total waste of money. They don't accept any card, I had to arrange cash in emergency to pay at the hotel. Agreed checkout time was 14:00-15:00 but cleaning lady started making noise at 09:00, approached at 11:00 to ask for cleaning the room, at 11:50 she gave 10 minutes to leave the room. Literally were kicked out of the room.
