Nothing short of an exceptional stay. The hotel breathes history. The room was classic, spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous views. Restaurant superb and staff efficient and friendly. We had a lovely stay.

Great service in a wonderful hotel be the lake.

We had booked two single rooms because a room with two beds at the time of booking was not available. When we arrived we asked if there was anything available with two beds and the very helpful and wonderful desk person said she could move us into a two-bedroom suite for the same price as the two small single rooms. It was a wonderful room with a view of the lake. The breakfast was great as was the dinner.

Everything was wonderful--robe and slippers in the room, great staff, wonderful breakfast that came with the room.

Perfect vacation in the perfect place

A beautiful villa on the very shore of the lake. An incredible experience and a positive breath of some other, old times while experiencing the feeling of charm and luxury from 140 years ago. An excellent and varied breakfast for which you need to set aside at least an hour with beautiful view to truly enjoy it, of course with the inevitable glass of cold champagne. Special praise to the managers in the restaurant: the great and experienced Darko (an example of what a restaurant manager should be) and the beautiful and perfectly professional Silvia. I also must not forget Claudia who runs the reception, great and focused, always ready for professional advice.

Everything was perfect, a relaxing and recharging experience as you could wish for. I must not forget the perfect dinner in the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant. The owners and the great staff do a great job and we will support them in the future by planning to come on holiday at least once a year.

Lack of blackout in the bedroom. There were shutters but I was not able to close them as they obviously had not been used for a long time.

THE perfect location: a beautiful old villa directly on the beach. They offered me a free upgrade on arrival so I stayed in a big room with a lake view. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, superb breakfast.

Peaceful, lakeside views

The hotel restaurant has a great view of the lake. We enjoyed a dinner of fresh trout served very professionally by DARKO. The flower and candle on the table were romantic. We also enjoyed the classic wood decor and lake view from our room.

The shower water control and doors were complicated.

The rooms are old, not soundproofed at all. If you choose half board, be careful because drinks are extra and they want €6.20 for a 0.75 bottle of water… They want €25 extra for the dog

A beautiful old villa directly at the lake with a nice staff - ideal for a family holiday.

It is a beautiful old villa directly at the lake. A large garden offers a seating area for the restaurant at the lake as well as an area for deckchairs and sunbathing. The restaurant is good and has decent prices.

It would be good to have a larger lounge or lobby area for rainy days. I would also appreciate getting preference in the restaurant booking as a house guest - we did not get a table directly at the lake.

Beautiful 19th century villa with modern facilities and good breakfast.

Amazing view (at the lakeside) with very comfy beds, nice rooms in the old style with modern bathrooms. Breakfast has a lot of options, nice tea, and coffee with a very friendly owner and staff. The sauna is nice and clean with showers and deck chairs.

A pool would be nice.

Breakfast amazing! Assortment of jams and jellies quite exquisite - no doubt self-made in the kitchen. Enjoying a long and lazy breakfast next to the water probably the most enjoyable of my stay there. Easy access to enter the water, and excellent massage.

Amazing staff in the hotel and the restaurant! The food (taste and presentation) is outstanding! (Except for the schnitzel - not their forte!). Excellent wine selection, candlelight dining right on the water is amazing!! A lovely place!

Parking is an issue, and they could use more signage in English to alert guests about boat rentals, paddle board lessons, etc. Although pet-friendly, the dog park is pretty far away; if inclement weather or middle of the night, could be a real problem.

Very poor

Fantastic location, very authentic and charming place. The access directly to the lake makes great for a swim at any time of the day. The restaurant View by the water front is absolutely amazing. Also very friendly staff trying to make you feel comfortable.

Our room situated in the 2nd building was on top of the laundry room, therefore at various times of the day you could hear the machines spinning. Small inconvenience during afternoon rest, but without this the place would have been a 10.

*Ein Juwel direkt am See – absolut empfehlenswert! Bewertung: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen, sehr gepflegten Hotel einen fantastischen Aufenthalt verbracht. Die Lage direkt am See ist einfach unschlagbar und sorgt sofort für Urlaubsstimmung. Was uns besonders gefallen hat: Service & Gastfreundschaft: Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, dass der Hausherr selbst so zuvorkommend und herzlich ist – man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich willkommen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer haben einen tollen „Altbau-Flair“, sind aber absolut zeitgemäß ausgestattet mit Flachbildfernseher und einem modern renovierten Badezimmer. Eine perfekte Mischung aus Charme und Komfort. Kulinarik: Das Frühstück war hervorragend, sehr bekömmlich und bot eine große Auswahl (von feinem Lachs bis zu vielen verschiedenen Marmeladensorten). Auch das Abendessen im stimmungsvollen Ambiente war ein Genuss, besonders in Begleitung der erlesenen Weine. Lage & Freizeit: Ein echter Clou ist die Lage im Dreiländereck! Wir haben erfahren, dass es im Umkreis von 40 km mindestens 10 Skigebiete gibt (Italien, Slowenien und Österreich). Man muss nur das Wetter checken, das passende Gebiet wählen und los geht’s – was will man mehr? Fazit: Es war alles rundum picobello. Wer ein Haus mit Charakter, exzellentem Service und bester Lage sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Liebe Grüße aus Wiesbaden!

Ein kleiner persönlicher Wunsch: Als kleine Anregung für die Zukunft: Ein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer wäre das Tüpfelchen auf dem i gewesen. Das ist natürlich kein Muss, aber für Teetrinker ein schöner Bonus!
