Pension Sedlak

Located just a stones throw from the lake, this provided a wonderful overnight stop on our European motorcycle tour. The room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the lake from a small balcony. It remained relatively cool in the 30c heat outside, but we left a patio door open overnight. Though the hotel is close to the road through Millstatt, we did not find the road noise a problem past 10pm. The staff (Marian in particular) were polite and helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. Providing us with beach towels so that we could enjoy a swim in the lake on their private beach. We also rented a stand up paddleboard which was €5 per hour. Be aware that you must cross the main road to get to the private beach. We were two adults, but you would want to monitor young children on that journey. The lake was beautiful both visually and for a swim and we loved being able to just saunter across as we pleased during our stay. Breakfast was functional, but fine - with a selection of self serve options and the option of eggs from the kitchen.

A couple of minor points - if staying with a motorcycle, all of the parking options are on slopes - park at angles and leave the bike in gear for safety. The bathroom was compact, fine individually, too small for two to coexist in when getting ready for breakfast/dinner.

Das gute Frühstück, die schöne und seenahe Lage.

Die Brause in der Badewanne ist gerade nicht von Vorteil. Wenn man groß ist, muss diese in die Hand genommen werden und so ist es schwierig, gut zu duschen.
