room was decorated tastefully with love to details…..good location in walking distance to restaurants & sightseeing’s ….parking on ground has been a great advantage….quiet environment for a good night sleep….Philippe has been a fantastic host with a great passion for his garden and for preparing a unique breakfast experience

The perfect bed and breakfast, quiet, comfortable and with a charming host.

Wonderfully quiet location. We had a beautiful room, exceptionally clean, and an extremely comfortable bed. It was very easy to walk into Poitier for dinner, and Philippe’s recommendations are excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of care having gone into each delightful element. Philippe is the perfect host - nothing is too much trouble. Many thanks.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely everything was superb. Philippe is an excellent host, meticulous in his approach to everything. The breakfasts are simply very, very special. We would come to Poitiers just to repeat the experience of staying in this exquisitely furnished property.

Excellent and very original breakfast

Excellent breakfast! Perfect host! Very special!

We stayed for 2 nights and after the first night the room was not cleaned, neither were the towels changed. Even after asking, the host told us that cleaning during a 2 nights stay was not the procedure! He gave us 2 new towels, which we took ourselves to the room. Check-in after 5 PM.

Fantastic cannot wait to return!

Welcome and accomodation was excellent. Phillipe was a magnificent host, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean and well furnished and resourced. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had in France - which is no mean feat!

Amazing stay in a unique property with exceptional hospitality

Everything was amazing! We received a warm welcome on arrival and were given a tour of the property. The room was well equipped and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We cannot find fault! The weather was perfect and we were able to eat breakfast in the garden in the morning. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The attention to detail was first class. We would definitely recommend this beautiful B&B!

It was a charming bed and breakfast with a lovely host.

The breakfast was delightful and imaginative. Our host, Phillipe, could not have been more attentive. It was very nice to have the facility to park in the private car park. The restaurant opposite was excellent. We will stay there again.

A real gem of a bed and breakfast property in a gem of a town.

It was the most unusual and beautiful property in the shadows of historic caves. The host Philippe couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable. A 20 minute walk to the beautiful old town, this has been truly such a lucky find - we will be back. Breakfast was served in the garden, and was explained by Philippe as to the various edible flowers and plants that adorned the lovely fruit, cheese, yogurt etc. A guided tour of the caves at the back of the garden was an extra treat in what can only be described as a two night memory.

The only down side was that weather was very hot and rooms were not air conditioned. Philippe did offer an electric fan, which made a huge difference. The stairs were quite steep to the bedrooms, if you did have any mobility issues, as was the fairly steep walk to the old village. Minor points that did not detract from the joy of our stay.

A perfect stay with an exceptional host.

Beautiful, clean, authentic, good sized rooms, kitchen for guest use, within walking distance of the town. The host Philippe was a delight. So much love for his work. He had a huge amount of information about places to visit, including free museum tickets as we were there for more than 1 night, and places to eat. He makes his own jams, yogurts and cheese for breakfast, has eggs from his own chickens, the start to your day is wholesome, healthy and organic, carefully garnished with herbs and flowers picked from his garden. On check out we were presented with artisan soaps. We felt incredibly welcome and comfortable, and would most definitely recommend a stay here.

Different but we loved it. Philippe has a wonderful eye for detail and he clearly knows so much about herbs and plants. We have rarely seen plants looking so good.

I would have liked a mirror in the bedroom itself and honey at breakfast. Otherwise everything suited us very well.

Phillippe is a wonderful host bringing great care and attention to everything to create a truly unique stay. He collected us from the airport . Incredible breakfast Large comfy bed. Beautiful flower garden under the cliffs and beside the river . All local produce to local artist work hanging on the walls

A fascinating house with a wonderful breakfast and delightful host.

The house was beautifully converted and the host was absolutely charming, and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was amazing, all served in their fascinating garden. We were able to walk from there into the centre of Poitiers (a bit of a climb but worth it) and we were given good recommendations for places for dinner. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The only problem was that our room was in the eves of the house and as I am pretty tall it was difficult to stand in a lot of the room. However it was extremely comfortable with a nice en suite bathroom and a nice big shower. The house number is wrong on your site - it is 177 and not 117.

Extraordinary stay just over the river from Poitiers

Phillippe and I corresponded by email prior to our arrival, so I had the information I needed to plan a good stay. The house and its presentation far exceeded my expectations. The details of order and beauty greatly increased my comfort in staying there. Phillippe gave us very detailed information, from how to explore Poitiers to the exact ingredients in his lovely small dishes of breakfast goodies. His love of gardening and preparing beautiful foods matches his eye for design throughout the house.

True hospitality - a perfect short stay in fascinating Poitiers.

The property was carefully and tastefully curated to give guests a positive and restful stay. The breakfast was delicious and was beautifully presented. Philippe, the host was welcoming and generous - even offered to do a load of washing for the weary travellers. The location on the riverside was ideal. The garden a delight.

Amazingly beautiful and excellent breakfast with self-made products (e.g. jams). The tenant was very friendly and made us a nice little tour in his garden and the caves that are located behind the house.

One of the best experiences ever.

The breakfast is absolutely marvellous: almost all ingredients are home-made, the butter is just incredible as well as the yogurt and the jams. From the window of our room we could see the river which is 30 meters away. The B&B is few hundreds meters away from the Notre Dame le Grand, the city center. The owner of the B&B serves you personally, he is incredibly well informed and nice. The room was really clean. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Amazing stay in beautiful house with exquisite breakfast!

Lovely, modern rooms in a beautiful and Immaculate house. The bed was very comfortable and the guest facilities are excellent. The amazing garden backing on to cliffs made a wonderful setting, and the exquisite, homemade breakfasts an absolute delight! I travelled by train and so walked into the centre to explore, probably more than a kilometre, but I really enjoyed the walks and the sights by the river and in the town. Philippe's recommendations for places of interest and restaurants were perfect and much appreciated! I thoroughly recommend and would love to return one day.
