great place to stay in poitiers , handy for everything

The receptionist who checked us in was charming and helpful and the breakfast was very good considering it is included in the price .

Expect breathing plasticizer fumes

It's an interesting building, apparently an old bank. Staff was kind and very helpful. The location is perfect, very close near the city centre. Parking a large car in the underground garage is a great challenge. You will feel invigorated when you manage to get your car there without any damage.

Unfortunately, the people who were in charge of styling this "Styles" hotel thought that "retro 1980's" would be hip. It's not, and it wasn't in the 80's either. The atmosphere isn't inviting, it's bland and cold (1980!). There are no interesting design elements as you would expect with an Ibis Styles. But worst of all, the entire hotel smells of plasticizer fumes, probably from the abundantly but badly applied vinyl wallpaper (1980's!). In the rooms themselves that smell is the worst. So yeah, for a back to the 1980's experience, it's great. For someone who grew up in the 1980's, not so much...

Nice family friendly property in the middle of Poitiers

Large room and new facilities. Great breakfast included in the room.

Parking option is limited in size of cars. Welcome staff was a little gruff at first but then nicer - maybe because of the English.

Disappointing and would not stay again.

It had a spacious room

No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Had to go down to reception to make a drink by boiling a kettle. No water in room. No fridge in room. First room given to us stunk and was dirty so had to change rooms. Breakfast rubbish. Didn’t even have coffee in the coffee machine- so cup of hot milk.

Stylish but family-friendly central hotel with excellent breakfast

Large family room, very quiet with super comfy beds and great shower. Nice and cool on a hot weekend! Very smart and stylish hotel in excellent central location near all restaurants etc. Breakfast was a particular highlight with fresh juice and choice of cheeses, breads, cakes, fruit etc - fabulous!

An excellent time in Poitiers staying at the IBIS Styles Poitiers Centre

The receptionist was helpful. We wanted to use the hotel car park and he gave very good instructions as to how to enter (it was not accessible from the front of the hotel). The breakfast was very good, the room was a good size and the hotel was in an excellent location. From the hotel we easily found the Tourist Information Centre where we took a map of the city and were given an excellent recommendation for some eating places. We found Poitiers to be an interesting place to visit and are likely to return for a long weekend.

There was no downsides as far as we were concerned regarding this hotel. It was very welcoming.

Did not have own bar/ restaurant but they sold drinks and food at reception. Very good and you can order food to be delivered.

We didn’t feel safe opening our window onto the green floored verandah 308. 310 was short of natural light. Nice to have a kettle on the ground floor but sorry there were no real cups.

Have stayed here for a stopover a few times and it's always good. Nothing fancy but it's a decent, good value hotel.

Mattress covers are plastic, not very pleasant to sleep on. Beds are comfortable though.
