Small shower , very basic room decoration - we had stayed in Salamanca the night before in an old monastery rooms were amazing so a bit of a shock when we arrived in Poitiers especially as we we had paid the same price ! Unfortunate for you

No parking available which was unfortunate but there was a public car park just next door which was in fact cheaper than the hotel parking would have been, just didn’t feel as secure

Very large comfortable bed. Location couldn’t be better, right in middle of town

Breakfast wasn’t worth €15 PP. Next time we will walkout of the front entrance & use one of the many patisserie places (all within 50mtr).

A disaster .

The toilet wouldn’t flush and the aircon was faulty so we were moved to another room. In the second room the basin and shower didn’t drain. There was no hot water throughout the hotel. The Booking.com photo did not represent the hotel so overall we were mislead. If this is acceptable to Booking.com we will never use them again. Please respond.

Disappointing! Lack of communication.

There had been no hot water for two days! The problem had not been resolved and reception staff, although aware, did not inform us on arrival. We’d had a long day of travel and wanted a shower, after waiting and waiting for the hot water to come through, was forced to have a cold shower! Had we been given the courtesy of being told we would not have wasted gallons of water waiting for the hot water to come through.

Convenient hotel for exploring old Poitiers

Room was comfortable and clean. Location of hotel was great for visiting the old part of Poitiers.

1) The receptionist, on our arrival, was not particularly friendly or welcoming, and we can only assume she was having a bad day! Whilst we arrived too early for check-in, we didn't really expect our room to be ready. All the same, we did expect to be greeted with a smile, an offer to look after our bags and an encouragement to walk around Poitiers and advice on what to see and do - we got none of this. However, when we returned later in the day, the new receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. 2) If you have any mobility issues, either don't use the hotel's car park or unload outside the hotel before parking.
