Good hotel for a short stay, for business or touring. Maybe not the best area, though.

The room was very nice and the location was good for what I needed, considering that most of the time I had to travel out of town. The staff were VERY friendly and extremely helpful regarding checking in and orienting myself in the town.

I will argue the area was not the best. There were a few drunken spills (aka vomit) on the streets surrounding the hotel, so you had to be careful where you stepped or rolled your suitcase. A few nights there were some late night, drunk shouting that made me grateful to not be on the ground floor. Also, though the room smelled fine, the was a curious persistent odor in other parts of the hotel. That being said, that's often the case with older hotels. I am grateful the room smelled very nice. Also, I think the hotel is very well protected. After a certain time, the doors are locked so you need to remember what the pass code is to get in. That extra level of security helped a lot.

Cleanliness was outstanding. Room was modern and exceptionally well maintained. Lovely to have a balcony and air conditioning. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly, English speaking, helpful staff. Great to have secure parking.

Entry to car park is quite tight, but still doable for large saloon car. Quite a walk uphill to city centre. Unpleasant smell to side of reception, in lift area. No local supermarket/restaurant. Lift not always available when staff are cleaning.

It was good to have a kitchen in the room and everything was clean.

We tried to book a room again 11 days later when we returned but we were surprised the price was double to the actual one so we need to book another hotel. We found another similar hotel half a price from the price give for the woman at reception.

Just what we needed for a one night stay. Quite basic but clean (didnt use the kitchen) . Breakfast turned out to be very good. Parking was off road and secure.

Not much choice for evening meal nearby. Indoor pool too hot for cooling down after a long day travelling.

Comfortable stay in a popular part of the city self catering facilities excellent (alas no toaster)

Every thing was very good, we had trouble finding the Hotel because The Hotel sign was very small. Well worth paying for the secure parking ……. It would have been impossible to park anywhere near the Hotel. We did however enjoy our stay with our dog.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The hotel was very clean throughout. My wife made good use of the pool.. Only five minutes walk from the train station..and take aways...

The only thing that stops me from giving the hotel a 5 star rating was the fact that we only had one small pillow each. A minor detail, however two pillows would have afforded us a more comfortable nights sleep. Otherwise I couldn't fault the hotel....

Disappointing for an Adagio

We liked the fact that we could drop off our luggage before check-in time, although this is only possible during the reception desk's opening hours. The reception area is nice, there is a foosball table there among other things. The receptionist was friendly.

The area is not particularly nice, it's not particularly close to anything (nor particularly far either, it's roughly 15-20 min walk to the center and 10-15 min to the station). We were in a disabled room for some reason, so the shower wasn't very nice for us and the shower head was quite low. There are yellow marks in the toilet bowl. The room is very noisy. Wether the window is open or closed, you can hear the noise from the road at the same level. Breakfast is very disappointing for an Adagio breakfast. Not a lot of choice, quantity isn't great. We arrived 45 min before the end of it and they were out of pain au chocolats already and there were only 3 servings of ham and cheese available. No bacon, sausage. There is an egg cooking machine but it's not very practical (especially when the room is busy) considering there is not a lot of counter space. The most annoying feature according to me: in order to save energy, the hotel is heated at 19° C everywhere, bedrooms included. There is no way for you to turn it up. Fair enough. However, the fact that they only provide you with one very thin duvet is outrageous. We were cold. The swimming pool is only opened in the afternoon from 2 to 5 (or 5:30, I can't remember exactly), considering that you can only check in as early as 3, you don't have much time to enjoy it if you're just there for one night (or if you are busy until 5). It is a shame that it is not open until later. We will probably not come back.

Amazing value, very clean and great location.

We were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room and its facilities. The staff during the day were really helpful and it was very easy to access the property after arriving late.
