A wonderful comfortable value for money stay on the edge of the motorway

Lovely warm welcome and fantastic breakfast to get us on the road. Just off the motorway too so easily accessible. Comfortable bed and quiet.

Good restaurant nearby.

Good location near very good Les Routiers restaurant. It broke our trip north through France perfectly. Comfortable bed.

They didn't respond to an email I sent before booking. When I booked, their long, detailed message about check-in times and animals was unnerving, making you expect lots of petty rules, though this did not materialise. The room was quite small for the price, and was quite run down. Potential customers need to be aware that check-in is not allowed until 16.30, and check-out is 10.30.

Hotel staff were very pleasant and funny, made up for any inconsistency. Recommended a restaurant which was packed because the food was absolutely delicious.

Hidden gem!

This was a great find! Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is clean, lovely bedding and towels and a good value continental breakfast for €6.90. Two minutes off the A10 it was a perfect stopover after a long day travelling. First impressions of the location are strange as it is basically in the middle of an industrial estate but don't let that put you off! It has a nice, quirky outdoor space and it felt very safe leaving our loaded car there overnight. As we were tired and didn't want to venture out too far for food, Claude the host recommended Au Top du Roulier, just around the corner, where all the truck drivers eat, and what a great experience that was! Three courses, as much as you could eat for €14! And €2 for half a litre of very drinkable wine! All in all a great night's stopover!

Initially dubious about the location but all doubts promptly dismissed as soon as we entered the hotel.

Happy Traveller

Stopped over on the way to Spain, used before. The hotel is really clean, the bed was very comfortable, and I'm a fussy sleeper. We travel with our dog, and it's never an issue. Booked for the return journey home, and again later in the year.

Perfect location for a stopover, next to a truckers restaurant with plenty of well priced good food.

It is the best place to stay when we travel to the south west of France. Poitiers is literally on the route and it takes only a few extra minutes to reach Mac Bed. Next to the hotel, there is a Routiers restaurant, for truckers. Plenty of good food for a very reasonable price! This was the third time we stayed at Mac Bed and will return if we go again to the same area on vacation. The owner, Claude, is very friendly.

The breakfast is pretty rudimentary. Just a croissant and a piece of bread with some yoghurt and cold coffee. This needs to be improved when they are charging for this service

I would not recommend for a single female traveller.

I had no prior notice that €100 room deposit would be required at check in because I had my dog with me, the establishment is pet friendly. This was a shock and this should be noted on the hotel information on the Booking.com website so as to be aware of before booking. The area is dire, the hotel is on a tired trading estate and I felt uncomfortable staying there, I very nearly left but I had €100 on hold! I had to pay 70c tax in cash, I have never been asked to do this before.

Great overnight stay just off the motorway. Handy. Its location - right in the middle of a big lorry and commercial park - was a little odd, but happily there was a restaurant and micro brewery a five minute walk away.
