Amazing experience

The best location, short tram ride to the city centre, local shops, restaurants, shopping center, everything close by. Great variety of food for breakfast, Lara and Lorenzo made us great coffee in the morning. Fridge was available to use if needed. We could buy tram tickets from Lara and Lorenzo. They gave us all the information where to eat, shop, what to see, how to find. It was so beautiful to be able to ask Lara and Lorenzo about the life in Florence, to find out from the locals. Great stay, would recommend to everyone

Good money for value, clean and hosts are very helpful

Clean, modern, great communication. Easy to reach by bus and tram. It is possible to reach the city center by walk in around 30 minutes. Plenty of restaurants with reasonable prices in the area and a good gelateria. Hosts are very helpful.

Breakfast is from 8 to 10am, which is not ideal if people need to leave early. It Is not handy if you come back at night as you’d need to get a taxi (20 euro from Santa Maria novella station). Not a deal breaker

Everything was very good. Since the reception and Lorenzo explain to us the places to visit and which transport to use until the last day. Cleaning, private bathroom, silent place. And good expresso. The location is close to a lot of facilities: markets, restaurants, gelateria, laundries and public transport

Breakfast was a good way to start the day. host was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We also liked the location being out of city a bit.

I had the most wonderful stay at Bed & Breakfast Il Grillo Di Firenze. Lara and her husband were truly amazing hosts; warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with all the information I needed. The room was comfortable, clean and the mattress made for a great night’s sleep. Each morning I enjoyed breakfast, and Lara always prepared a perfect cappuccino. She was so kind and lovely to chat with, which made the experience feel even more special. I also appreciated the location, away from the overly touristy areas, yet still very convenient for exploring Florence. I can’t wait to return to Florence and stay here again.

Very nice place spotlessly clean.The hosts make time to make youre time there as enjoyable as possible..The location is close enough to the center for easy access but away from the the crowds of sightseers..its a bit like a boarding house but the landlady is super freindly

Owner greeted us very nicely on the arrival. Happy to have stayed only for one night.

location is a plus to the B&B. This was our first B&B stay with kids and breakfast was very limited and was not to our expectation.

elevator was quite compact which make us difficult with the stroller. After checking to the B&B we went for pisa and returned late evening around 8pm. Someone in the next room started tapping on the wall and complained of noise. I mean we have just reached back and talking while waiting for the dinner. We also received messaged from the owner to reduce volume. We understand the privacy of other but it was not expected. Also, next morning we left at 10 am and realised that our younger daughter have mosquito bites all over her body. We are happy that we stayed only one night (from 8 pm to 10 am next morning). In case owner read this review, we request her to have a look into hygiene and avoid hosting family with kids because kids tends to watch TV and make little bit of noise.

Very pleasant, quiet and comfortable!

I could not stay for breakfast because of an early airport flight out of Florence. However, juice, a sandwich and lemon cake was left for me in the refrigerator, I could take it to the airport with me, so kind! Location was perfect for me because I wanted a place near the airport.

The room was as described and the access to the center through the tram was easy. The terrace was a bonus. The breakfast had variety. The owner was very helpful and gave us practical information.

Lara is a very friendly and helpful host! Breakfast was good and the location was close to the tram, which made it easy getting into the centre quickly.

The aircon in our room made an intermittent noise which could be quite loud.

It was overall good.

There was some noise there. People talking with load voice in the commen area. Breakfast was all about sweets. I suggest to add some other things for breakfast. And it was a little tiring because there was no elevator and the B&B is on the 6th floor of the building.

Lovely stay, close and easy access from and to smn train station and city centre.

We only stayed 1 night but the owner has made our stay very pleasant. They sent us very clear instructions on how to find the place based on our travel method. She also gave us information about the main tourist attractions and how to get there. Very clean and comfortable room, tasty breakfast.

Staying with Lara and Lorenzo at their beautiful Il Grillo di Firenze means: staying at home. Lara is such a wonderful friendly person to chat with. Most important for Lara and Lorenzo: theri guests feel like at home and enjoy their stay at the Grillos. You can reach the historic center of Firenze very easy within 10-15 minutes using the local transport nearby for just 1,50€ (valid for 90 minutes, September 2021).

Consigliatissimo

Proprietrari gentilissimi e disponibili, camera molto pulita, riscaldata con termosifone regolabile e, volendo, anche con la pompa di calore. Materasso e cuscini super comodi! Nella camera tripla manca il bidet ma essendo abituata ad andare in Germania per motivi di famiglia, questo ha costituito più una sorpresa che un disagio. Consiglierei di mettere una doccetta da utilizzare nel w.c. per lavarsi (se c'era già, forse non l'ho vista). Tramvia a pochi passi di distanza, negozi di ogni genere sotto casa e nei dintorni. Ampia terrazza in comune, in cui è possibile fumare. Nell'insieme è stata un'esperienza ottima anche per il silenzio dell'ambiente e la totale assenza dei rumori della strada..
