Perfect accommodation for good value

The location is quite accessible, is 15 mins from the central station, you have tram & bus options to get there, easy connected to the center, to walk is a little bit further from town centre but on a bike you’ll be in the duomo in 12 mins or buses as well :) The room is spacious, bed comfy enough and it has extra blankets if you’re a bit cold, it also has a radiator heater. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The host is super attentive and makes sure that the place has everything you might need for a nice stay.

Make sure you inform your arrival time as they don’t have someone permanently in the reception, I knew that before hand and didn’t had any problems, but is something to keep in mind as it’s not self check in

Great stay

We booked a room with a shared bathroom and had a great experience. We were warmly welcomed with kindness and clear explanations of how everything works. The room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was always clean. The room was also cleaned by the maid every day. The hotel is in an excellent location, just 10 minutes by bus from the city center, with bus stops less than 50m away. We felt very safe. Plus, it’s right next to a supermarket, which is a great convenience when you’ve been traveling for a long time

We visited Florence during an atypical week of weather, with snow and freezing temperatures reaching -4ºC at night and in the early morning. Unfortunately, our room wasn't prepared for such extreme cold, and the heater didn't keep us thermally comfortable. We were quite cold, even with the blankets provided. Since the heater was set to an automatic mode, it wasn't possible to make any manual adjustments.

The staff were nice and kind, the rooms were clean, the bathrooms, kitchen and the garden were great.

I got good rest before my marathon

Location was ok, everything was clean, got good rest.

All the furniture and interior was really cheap and rather uncomftable. One of the bed ribs broke while just standing on the bed.

Really enjoyable stay and good value for money!

The shower was one of the nicest I used anywhere in Italy! The room was spacious and everything worked well. It was very clean and comfortable. The shared kitchen space was great, we really enjoyed our espressos in the morning!

There was a bit of noise from the road but not too bad.

Perfect place to stay for a reasonable price.

The apartment was very clean. I stayed there for four days, and on the second day, housekeeping came to tidy the room and replaced the towels and bed linen. The entire property is kept in perfect order, and it’s quiet during late hours, which I really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed every aspect of my stay in these apartments.

Clean, close to center, friendly host

We liked the host very much, the room was very clean and the toilets were the same. You can go to the city center by taking a bus or a train and walking for 8 minutes. The weather was very hot but the problem was solved with two fans.

Bed - comfortable Wardrobe - good size for a couple to store all your belongings. Good size room Nice little garden for a smoker and non smoker Common kitchen was well kept, clean and had enough tables and chairs. The host was attentive and friendly. Good location- walking distance by a tram from the train station. There was Asian supermarket, a pharmacy and local cafe etc so you can get anything you need within walking distance.

Beautiful garden and rooms.

we loved our stay here. The small shared kitchen allowed us to cook and enjoy dinner in the garden with the sweet smell of the jasmine flowers all around us. room was large and well equipped. the small breakfast items and cookies inthe kitchen were a bonus we hadnt expected.

our room was positioned on the ground floor on the corner of 2 streets, the traffic noise was loud.

Very nice and helpful manager, kitchen with tea and coffee and beautiful terrace. Bus stop is very close. Room is spacious and clean.

One of the showers upstairs is a little old and broken, but it was not a big deal, just would be nice to change eventually :)

Very nice option with caring hosts that is affordable!

Domenico and Mario are really good hosts, we felt that they were very available and ready to help for anything! The kitchen is well equipped and the free coffee in the morning is really good :). We enjoyed the little backyard as well in the morning and the evening. You are at a 10 minutes walk from the tram that will bring you to the city center in 15 minutes, and the tram passed every 6-7 minutes, we really liked that. There were quite a lot of guests when we were there but everyone was really respectful and we had absolutely no issues with late night noise, the whole building was really quite most of the time!

Please note that we had a room on the first floor with a private -outside of the room- bathroom. The bathroom was very clean but it was impossible to get rid of the humidity and the towels simply could not dry at all. But they changed our towel as needed so it was not an issue. Being on the first floor and no AC (but we had a fan), you need to keep in mind that if you open the windows, you will hear the street and the people talking outside as if they were in the room with you and there are mosquitoes. They offer ear plug if needed though.

Mario in particular was extremely helpful and pleasant, both in communicating before our stay and during it. Great wee hotel to stay at.

As an old building there's no air conditioning, however this has been communicated to us well before our stay and a fan was provided.

Lovely apartment style with great staff. If you don

I liked the apartment style - true italian style imo. We had a beautiful private terrace and also a good wifi connection. It was nice to have our own mini shampoo’s and soap aswell. Kitchen was fully equipped. Staff was very welcoming and friendly- gave us the city map and explained how to get to the city centre by tram.

The street was pretty noisy. Other visitors didn’t respect the apartment rules which mentioned that the kitchen shouldn’t be used after 22:00 but there were visitors which ignored that and made noise from the there which was pretty disturbing to my apartment which was behind the kitchen.

Location is perfect, nice bakeries and restaurants in walking distance….clean room…had orange tree in the backyard and we took a bicycle also….the staff that greeted us was very friendly and gave us a nice welcome…but the staff on second day was very cold and bit rude….but otherwise a nice stay

I really enjoyed l'Aranceto, but...

We were welcomed very friendly and got very good recommendations for public transport. The bathroom was very clean, as was the room. Overall, the design of the hostel was lovely and one could see that much care went into the selection of the interieur. I really enjoyed the experience!

The mattresses in the bunk bed were worn out and several slats of the slatted frame were halfway broken. Also, the noise from the street is pretty loud.

Convenient location but not good sound isolation

The room was spacious and the location convenient for reaching the university. Staff were kind and friendly. There is a equipped common kitchen that you can use which is helpful and you can make your coffee in the morning. To reach there was also each and only with one bus you could be there within 20min from the train station.

The noise isolation was not good and as the accommodation is on a busy street, even with the windows closed there was a lot of noise which made sleeping at night difficult. There was also noise from water running (probably from other people using the shower). Finally, although there was a closet, there were no hangers, which would be have been helpful.

Good for one or two nights in winter

The room was spacy and the everything was really clean. Also, the staff was extremely friendly. Apart from that, the building is situated in a quite neighborhood. The garden is also beautiful and you have a free coffee a day per person on the coffee machine.

The room was really cold although the radiator was hot. We used the extra blanket to somehow get through the night. I would not recommend to stay here for more than one or two nights in winter.

Very good

The accommodation is simple to find, in a quite neighborhood, is about 20 minutes by walking from train S. M. Novella. The room was clean, the shared bathroom was clean. Is a little bit cold in the room, but you have a pillow and by night is quite ok. Is about 30 minutes by walking to the main attractions. The host was quite nice and help us with an early check-in, and help us with our luggage. There is also a kitchen, clean and a small terrace.

the manager was very welcoming. our room was very cozy and warm, exactly what we needed on a winter night. the common spaces were clean and there was a small outdoor area where we could drink hot tea and have a chat. shared bathrooms were never a problem. overall recommend and fully satisfied with our stay
