Lovely big rooms, pool was great and relatively quiet with limited number of guests. Many breakfast choices and quantity of food was huge. Personal table service, not buffet. Extremely prompt response to a couple of minor problems with Air cond and TV. Location to many restaurants, cafes and bars within 10 mins walk. Staff were excellent.
Water pressure was average but could have been much better. Didn't use the bath or spa bath provided due to time they would have taken to fill.

A beautiful property with lovely gardens, well located and nothing was too much trouble for staff. A super friendly place, proactive staff. We had a big Villa, both indoor & out, with pool surrounded by greenery. We were so well looked after and felt spoilt with some lovely gestures offered to us.
A bit of renovation work but these were being done with as little impact as possible and management reassured us the work could stop any time if we asked .

The villa provided great privacy without isolation, comfortable bedding and great open air courtyard with a small plunge pool pool.Choice of breakfast served in our courtyard was a bonus
The location does not provide easy access to the beach and is in a quiet part of Sanur

We enjoyed our stay at Sagara villas, the rooms were huge and very nice, the bathroom as a little dated, but very clean. The big bathtub on the balcony was nice, but we were really glad we had an upstairs room. The Sun loungers around the pool were a little close together but we didn’t struggle to get one. We would stay again, but the location is a little far out.
We had an issue with getting a sun lounger in the hotels area on the beach, as we didn’t have a voucher and they turned us away, it wasn’t a good experience.

Good.
Washrooms require significant amount of maintenance as they aren’t up to the mark (Foul smell).
Hot water shower outflow keeps varying.

Staff were fabulous and attentive. Great location for the price we paid it was what you would expect in Bali. Were very accommodating with breakfast requests.
Room had no windows or balcony so felt a little dark. However pretty clean and comfortable however hubby didn’t get good nights sleep here. The pool was attended too however many tiles missing and water very warm.

The staff we kind and keen to help. Always friendly.
The swimming pool was lovely.
The room was comfortable.
We didnt have any natural light in our room. We missed being able to enjoy being in our room during the day without the lights on.

Staff helpful, pool warm, beautiful gardens
Bedrooms are huge.
Breakfast was from a menu, not a buffet style. Reception was a bit dreary.

The location and the pool area were great. Staff were also amazing
The suite we stayed in had no natural light at all. Whilst it is personal interest, I would not recommend this room if you would like to ‘chill’ there during the day as there is nothing to see out the windows

This is our fifth visit to Bali but our first staying on the Sanur side. Loved the location at the quiet end of Sanur and the staff were wonderful and attentive. Good vegetarian options for breakfast, small boutique style accommodation (which we prefer over larger resorts). Room was spacious, but a very sterile balcony with nowhere to stretch out and read a book. The balcony has a jacuzzi (we didn’t use) and two chairs, but it was not as comfortable as maybe having a daybed or somewhere to laze about.
We booked a suite, and although it was lovely, and probably perfect for most people, we were disappointed with the shared pool and lack of daybeds. Purely because we like to have personal space, we felt other guests wanted to socialise and the pool was available to anyone who came to eat at the restaurant, so it was not very serene with people bringing their kids and groups using the pool and daybeds who weren’t guests while they enjoyed lunch. Daybeds and the pagoda were claimed very early in the morning every day we were there (we would get back from the gym early and already people’s belongings were claiming space!). We only managed one day by the pool where we got a daybed at 7am and ended up going to Byrd House beach club most other days. We would definitely choose a villa with a private pool if we were to stay next time. It was disappointing that we chose a boutique hotel to avoid crowds and relax, but we felt stressed out having to make plans to find somewhere to go and relax away from Segara and then we felt crowded and unable to unwind on the one day we did manage to have by the pool.
No gym on site, but we would walk to beautiful Paradise gym each day about 2km away.
Although breakfast had plenty of vegetarian options, there was very little to choose from for the lunch and dinner menus. However there were great vegetarian options nearby at Little Mars and Seja Restaurant.
We can see why other people rave about Segara (like people who rave about big resorts) but we felt that we didn’t unwind the way we had planned to and that the suite options just weren’t for us.

Away from the street frontage, felt as if you were at your own private resort. Rooms were so big, so comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. Staff were absolutely fantastic, remembered your name. Excellent nail salon just up the road, Blooming Nails.....fantastic!
The pool water was far too warm. You were unable to cool down at all. You came back to the resort hot and wanted some relief from the pool, hotter than bath water. Had to stand under the pool shower to cool off. Spoilt the experience. Didnt stop us from having the best time at Sagara though. The only bug bare to share is the pool, had the water been cooler the resort would have been perfect!

Only stayed 2 nights but Villa was amazing. Clean, tidy, comfortable beds and private pool was a luxury we enjoyed.
Floors are slippery when wet from getting out of the pool. Extra mats to dry feet would be good.

We loved everything about this place, the only negative was we didn’t stay long enough
The villa exceeded expectations

The staff, the beautiful gardens , they could do tours of the small grounds ! Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. The size of the villa and small private pool.
Our lovely villa has some air-conditioning issues. Due to the beautiful very high ceilings and the wrong placement of the Aircon the room could get quite warm. The staff had the whole Aircon unit serviced and regassed and it worked much better....but the unit needs to be moved to the middle of the bed not at the entry door. The pool was warm ..but Bali had a really hot week so not their problem. We would return in a heartbeat.

Close to the beach and main shopping street. My 1br villa was absolutely gorgeous!! The grounds are well kept, with lush tropical gardens. Very peaceful. Breakfast was really nice - a set menu with a number of options to choose from. I had lunch in the restaurant, which was delicious. The staff are amazing - always there if needed with a friendly smile and they made me feel very welcome.
I absolutely loved it and have booked to stay there again next year🙂🙂

The property was gorgeous! It was fairly quiet and had a boutique feel to it with beautiful gardens and the villa itself was stunning, with a great outdoor space, nice size pool to cool off and lovely lounger area.
There was nothing I didn’t like, however I would recommend adding a light above the sink in the bathroom and perhaps a mosquito net above the bed, other than that it was perfect

Beautiful villa. Great pool. Lovely staff with turn down service with a wee chocolate left on the bedside 💕
A wee bit run down, but biggest negative was the smell on the bathroom… very overpowering sewage/bad water smell.

The Sagara is situated in a very central location in Sanur quite close to the beach and there are many local restaurants and shops surrounding the property within walking distance.
We booked a 1 bedroom suite for a 7 night stay in September. Lovely room, very spacious with a spa outside. The room is well equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities also a smart TV with satellite channels. There is a safe in the room as well.
Breakfast at the Sagara is amazing you can order from the set menu each morning based on your preference. You can also choose from a range off different coffee ie expresso, cappuccino etc.
The staff at the hotel are all lovely and courteous, the rooms are well maintained and cleaned daily.
Our 1 bedroom suite was on the first floor which meant a couple of flights of stairs, when booking I did request a ground floor room however the staff explained the upper floors were less noisy. There is a bar across the road that has live music every night between 8-11pm and this can be heard from the room.
I really need to give a huge shout out to one of the wonderful staff members who went above and beyond, unfortunately I totally forgot to get his name! My husband lost his phone after 1 too many mojitos one night. It was picked up by another tourist so we were able to retrieve it thankfully.
The phone was an 11 minute walk from the Sagara, however this was after midnight so using google maps I set out on foot. As I left, I mentioned to the guys sitting at reception what had happened and where I was going, however I ended up going in completely the wrong direction!!
This lovely staff member realizing after I had set off on foot in completely the wrong direction arranged to have the driver and himself come find me in the car, take me to the person who had my husband’s phone and then bring me back to the hotel.
So to the gentleman who helped me Terima kasih tuan yang baik hati, bantuan Anda malam itu sangat dihargai.
The noise from the bar across the road can be a bit annoying however its out of the control of the Sagara and it does stop around 11pm.
Like all Bali hotels the bathroom does at times have a really unpleasant odour, however it is Bali and in my experience this happens in every hotel.

The pool area was beautiful, the location excellent and the staff were kind, considerate and extremely good at their jobs, a big call out to the young lady (sorry forget the name) in the reception who works in the morning, we had an issue with our cases not arriving from Kuala Lumpur, the lady dealt with the airline and made sure the cases were delivered to the hotel.
Thank you so much ♥️
Drains, obviously an issue that needs sorting 😔

I didn’t care much for the breakfast. Pretty standard western options or local breakfast. Fruit was nice and the coffee nice and strong.

The pool was lovely and there were ample choices on the al a carte menu for breakfast. The Vietnamese restaurant out the front was also very good. The room upstairs was lovely, comfortable beds and very spacious rooms. We also loved the spa bath on the balcony. Great location.
The first room we were given was on the bottom level right at the front of the property and it smelt so badly of mould we had to buy an air freshener. No natural light came in to the room at all! The room had a humidifier that was noisy and kept turning on and off. The room lost power overnight and the person on reception overnight didn’t speak English and it took ages for them to turn our power back on. During the night we heard a rustling noise while the power was out and found a mouse/rat was going through our suitcase. After asking to change rooms the next day, we were moved for our remaining two nights. The rooms on the second level were so much better! The reggae bar across the road plays loud music every night until 11pm.
