Fabulous peaceful haven in Sanur

Such a lovely peaceful setting. Courtyard and gardens are beautiful, 7 minutes walk to Mertasari Beach where you don’t get hassled at all. Poolside is so relaxing , the outdoor bathroom is great, and staff always friendly and welcoming.

Good for couples or families who don't mind being a short distance from the central Sanur area.

This is a lovely property with a nice swimming pool and outdoor area. The room and bathroom were both spacious and the airconditioner worked well. The staff were all great! There are water filling stations in the reception area as well as downstairs in the restaurant, thus eliminating the need for plastic bottles. It was very quiet at night, which was great.

There are a lot of stairs which was not an issue for us, but wouldn't be suitable for someone with mobility issues. The bathroom was open air and there were heaps of mosquitoes which took every opportunity to get into the room. Mosquito nets over the beds would be great for a good nights sleep. It's quite far from the Sanur action, but if you like walking, or hire a scooter, this won't be an issue :-)

A BEAUTIFUL STAY! :)

We loved our stay here! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect with out us even asking, for example; they would leave fresh towels on our sunbeds when we were in the pool and we wouldn't have even asked The staff were all so smiley and lovely and it created such a beautiful atmosphere. We hired bikes from the hotel and biked to the beach we were at the start of the promenade here so loved being able to bike up and down the beach promenade :)

If you love filth, this is the perfect place for you!

We booked this accommodation for 3 nights but left after just 1. We were shown three different rooms because the first two were already too dirty and damaged. We finally got “the best” one, but if that was the best, I don’t even want to imagine the others. The walls were covered in mold and damp stains, the floor had broken tiles, and when we woke up in the morning there was a cockroach lying in the middle of the room as if it was saying goodbye. The bathroom was even worse, yellow stains, grime, and a smell you won’t easily forget. And to be clear, this isn’t the cleaners’ fault. The staff were genuinely friendly and really tried their best. The problem is the accommodation itself: it's old, worn-out, and incredibly dirty. What this place needs is a full renovation, not a quick wipe of a cloth. We couldn’t get a refund since we booked through Booking.com, but we were not planning on staying here for another second so we accepted the loss and left. Out of all the places we stayed during our 5 weeks in Bali, this was by far the worst. Don’t book this place, not even for one night, unless you’re in the mood for mold, cockroaches, and an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons.

Perfect stay

The staff are wonderful at Puri particularly Resi who helped us re book another night stay after a trip over to Gili Air. We had the best room overlooking the pool. Large comfy bed, cot for our baby provided, peaceful and well kept grounds. It's about a ten minute walk to the beach where there is a walkway running along the beach up the coastline. No cars or traffic all pedestrianised which is a great bonus of the area. We used bikes from the hotel and found it easy to cycle the route and stop off for bars and restaurants as well as there being some play areas for children too.

A relaxing holiday, with all needs met

We spent 6 nights at Puri Mesari and would stay again next time we visit Sanur. The room was spacious, beds and pillows were comfortable, air con was great and showers were hot and had good pressure. The pool is large and lovely, the food in the on-site restaurant was fabulous, and staff were fantastic. The hotel is within walking distance of loads of cafes and eateries along the gorgeous beachfront. We hired an excellent scooter through reception and had some laundry done during our stay as well. We couldn’t have asked for better service all around. Thank you to everyone at Puri Mesari.

Peaceful and calm, would come back!

There’s a peace and calm to the property. When you arrive the reception is located above the facilities and you get a beautiful outlook to it. The paths to the rooms are separated by water ways and a beautiful garden. The pool is beautiful and the restaurant is decent. Received a massage while I checked in early and waited for my room to be ready. The room is and bathroom are a great size and the bath is huge. Both very clean and comfortable The team working there are really attentive and super kind. I would definitely stay there again and longer next time

The staff and service were excellent. They’re very friendly & responsive. The hotel was clean. The hotel is nestled in the quiet area of Sanur, it’s comfortable and feeling homey which is great for those who want to relax & having good night sleep as we are light sleepers… Friendly atmosphere around the pool, we got chances to meet & talk to other guests which was great!

No drinking water provided in the room like most of the hotels, neither is shower cap in the bathroom for women folks. So if you arrive late at night, you need to grab some drinking water from supermarket at the airport or on the way to the hotel

A calm and friendly spot in Sanur, perfect for relaxing — especially if you’re into green gardens and personal service.

Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the pool area was excellent, surrounded by a well-kept garden full of greenery. Bonus points for the kitchen staff, who went out of their way to prepare custom tofu dishes for us.

The restaurant menu has limited vegetarian options by default, but luckily the staff made an effort to accommodate us.

Accommodating, pleasant and a lovely stay

They accommodated us at short notice due to the volcano eruption and on arrival staff were accommodating and assisted us to our rooms. The manager was actively encouraging us to feedback on new food ideas for the menu - great to see they want the views of their customers. Pool size was good and very inviting!

Beautiful and peaceful oasis in a perfect location

This place is a total Gem. It feels like a magical oasis and the energy there is so light and peaceful. The pool is wonderful for lounging in and for kids as there is a large shallow area shaded by a tree so you can spend hours in there without worrying about getting burnt. The rooms are beautiful, clean and light with a huge comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom with a huge tub. The staff are so lovely and kind and the restaurant has lots of delicious options. The hotel is perfectly located. It feels quiet and peaceful, tucked away from all the hustle and bustle but is also only 5 minutes walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants and cafe options. This is our new go to place in Sanur. Also there is a little play room so doubly good if you have small kids.

Quiet oasis in a busy area of Bali.

The hotel, the staff and the food are excellent. It is a friendly and quiet place to stay with a lively pool and very caring and welcoming staff. This is my third stay at the hotel and I would come again and recommend it to family and friends

Good but could easily be much better

Quiet and very good location near mertasri beach. Resort like rooms around very attractive garden with a large pool and restaurant. Older style but looks well maintained.

Basically my room was comfortable but small irritations annoyed me. AC broke down so I had to move a less comfortable room. Bathrooms are outside which although are big they also are full of mosquitoes. Pain to have to shut the door all the time. One door key for entry and for electric. So when you go out the mini bar is turned off automatically. Bad luck if you have food in it. Mini bar is old and very noisy so I had to put it in the bathroom. TV not have CNN or any movies. Odd. AC in my second room had operating faults.

Exceptional

The staff are very friendly and kind. They went out of their way to help me and provide excellent customer service. The pool is lovely and relaxing. Close to the beach. Very quiet at night. I had a gecko living in the bathroom, he was harmless, just noisey. Moodi the receptionist is professional, friendly smile and helpful. Boodi was amazing and drove me into town everyday on the scooter. The property is a little old, traditional but clean.

Puri Mesari is a wonderful, quite, clean and lovely hotel. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and made our stay feel very welcoming. The on site Vietnamese restaurant was fantastic ask well. great food and prices and more wonderful staff. The pool was also perfect for cooling off on hot days.
