Puri Mesari Hotel

It has a really nice swimming pool and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the AC in our room and although they couldn't entirely fix it, they did their best in the circumstances (I think the AC unit needed to be fully replaced) and offered us another room for one night. It is located in a quiet area and there was no traffic or road noise. For the price it was good value for money.

It is a little bit of a walk to the main area with restaurants and other facilities in Sanur. Some of the facilities are getting a little old and could do with renewal (very old AC system in our room).

It was very peaceful, pool was lovely, the beds were so comfy and the bathroom had a bath and shower. Also a short 10 minutes walk to the beach and loads of nice restaurants around. I would recommend Sala, Lava, baby monkey, all about 15 minute walk. Also close to loads of spas I visited leha leha and crystenlina spa which are 20 minutes walk. If you are looking for a private driver I would highly recommend Sila’s Bali car, he took me to Tegenungan waterfall which was only a 40 minutes away and told me a lot about Bali traditions and culture.

Some of the loungers round the pool didn’t get the sun the entire day but the beach is like a 10 minutes walk away. if you don’t fancy that then the Byrd house beach club also only 10 minutes drive away.

The staff were really lovely and welcoming, the room had everything we needed, the pool was great to relax in, and it was a nice bonus having pushbikes available to rent.

The room had a musty smell, likely from condensation. The outdoor bathroom tended to attract cockroaches, and the built-in bidet didn’t feel very clean. Being on the ground floor, we kept our clothes on a rack in the bathroom, but something seemed to leak onto them, leaving an unpleasant smell.
