- Location in Sanur near to beach walk - Historic building with nice decoration - Friendly staff who speak English - Drinking water available in kitchen - Kitchen facilities available for guests

- Very little light in the room, a lots of trees and roofs cover most sunshine in the garden - I found some caterpillars in the room, over the bed crawling on the white mosquito net and also among my cloths, probably from the tree next to my room

Dirty… communal kitchen and spaces could use updating. Bathroom to the bedroom is super dated. This property may have gotten good ratings on tripadvisor in 2011, but today there is a lot of deferred maintenance!

Friendly guest house

It is a second stay at the Sunhouse GuestHouse and it is still enjoyable. The guesthouse is located 10 minutes away from the heart of Sanur full of restaurants, stores, activities, spa etc... The staff is extremely gentle doing their best to accommodate every guests, Thank you so much.

There is a dog nearby barking for an hour early in the morning, he/she is so annoying 🙄 but it is in every location in Bali so it is what it is...

It is a small hotel. I think only 7 rooms

The location is just outside the hubbub of Sanur and very close to Mertesari beach. It has everything a traveler needs. The staff is basically a mother and her young polite daughter. The nicest people you will ever know.

The entry gate takes a little getting used to. But it works well. You’ll see. The noise of passing cars is barely head at ground level is not an issue.

I really appreciate Mrs. Nitik and her daughter for their personal investment maintening the property clean and all their help. The owner is welcoming and willing to assist with all your inquiries.

The location near a T junction road makes sometimes noisy the area.

Adequate in the sense of comfort but way too noisy

The location. I had what I needed but it all looked very old and tired

The big problem of that property is that it is on a corner. The traffic and the “hooting” is literally happening on the other side of the wall of your room. Very very noisy.

Wonderful location, gracious hosts & my room, The Lotus was right across from the serene pool. My first night I got in at 1:00 am and they stayed up for me. Spent 4 nights here and walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. What a beautiful beginning to my stay in Bali. ❤️Jennevieve Acosta

A little gem in the quite southern part of Sanur.

Sanur is still my preferred place to stay in Bali, so lovely underrated : with an accessible beach, close to any attractions but very calm and peaceful. Sunhouse is embodying the spirit of Sanur simple and underrated but with everything I need to enjoy my holiday in Bali.

I have been here long time ago and while I appreciate that everything is almost still the same , I noticed that the wall fountain is not working anymore and the kitchen is clean, but is lacking the tools to prepare a basic meal. Last but not least a microwave would be very useful.

Not happy

Unfortunately my family and I didn't get to stay in this property, because they sent an e-mail the day before our stay that they did not have hot water. I emailed them and asked them if they have any other options, after waiting for a few hours for a reply and we didn't receive any confirmation. I decided to book a different hotel and asked them to cancel it, they refused and I reached out to booking.com for help regarding this. But they told booking.com that they offered me a different room with hot water, so I asked them for free cancellation and a refund. But they refused and charged me for the cancellation fee. This was unprofessional and unfair, I am still waiting for a reply from booking.com regarding this situation as well.

Almost perfect

The room was really spacious and confy, the family owning the structure is very nice and everyone was very kind

Hot water was not avaiable but owner gave us some buckets of heated water from the kitchen ❤️ They also give some money back and apologize for the problem

Lovely staff and family running this property which made for a very welcoming stay.

I arrived early and there was no question to allowing me onto the property. The room was large, queen size bed, with separate shower and toilet. Sufficient eateries around the property of great quality and reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and helpful and at my departure went out of their way to assist me with getting a driver and appraising me of the costs to the airport. The property felt very safe and secure.

Too much rain lol, fortunately the property had an assortment of umbrellas to use. The sheets were great, personally I prefer a fluffier pillow.

Unique and family feel

Pool was lovely, staff were amazing, felt like family, close to beach and warungs/shops, self help kitchen was a bonus, with free filtered water available, felt safe, bed was super comfortable, lovely and clean room, Aircon worked well, shirt was nice and hot, loved the uniqueness of the buildings/room, great value.

Some road noise as it is on a corner, go for the larger room with more natural light, if that's a priority, but other than that very satisfying all round.

Overall a nice place to stay, very friendly

The location is good, close to the beach and restaurants. It is a nice small guesthouse with very friendly people, you can use the kitchen for making coffee or tea, and get yourself water from the big container. The room was nice, good bed, clean and good bedsheets. Netflix with an account from the guesthouse which you can use.

It has a fridge, which could have been a bit cleaner. A basic bathroom, which was not the best but okay. My shower did not produce hot water, but my friends' his did. (I had the Lotus)

Low cost alternative to nearby resorts

The room we booked was really nice and spacious with nice decor. This was cleaned daily too. This location is a great base for sanur beaches and close to restaurants and shops. Comparing the cost of this property to the nearby resorts, it is a good value alternative. The staff were very nice and sorted out a room mix up really swiftly for us.

The shared facilities are dated and look more worn than the pictures show. The kitchen in particular. It is based on a busy street and the room we stayed in had no sound proofing at all. Good price for the area but you get what you pay for.

lovely, felt like my home for three days.

Such a wonderful family, incredibly kind and helpful. loved the design of the place and my room was comfortable. I stayed in Jasmine and it was away from the main road, quiet with a comfortable bed and the perfect height for pillows (not too fluffy). The location of the place is excellent you can walk to the two main beaches or to nearby restaurants really accessible. I also appreciated being able to watch Netflix and relax or swim in the swimming pool. Also there is an accessible kitchen to make food and get water etc with a kettle for tea and coffee.
