Taksu Sanur Hotel

We stayed recently and we loved the staff, particularly Mirah, Yogi and Pati. They made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and they accommodated anything. The rooms were large, great big verandahs, soft beds and wonderfully comfortable pillows. The pool was lovely and clean as well as cool.

As to 60 year olds, we want quiet where we stay and there was often music near the pool, which takes away from reading in peace, and a few nights had music at the bar as well. A good musician, but when you want to lay back in your room and have down time, it was quite loud until 10 or 11 pm.

breakfast was a highlight , great selection of freshly prepared food and dishes . The staff were exceptional always happy and accomodating. We had a ground floor room which was perfect for us with a balcony . It was a big room with lots of space . Bathroom was adequate .Gardens were well maintained and in bloom . really pretty . Nice pool area

for us the bed was terribly uncomfortable and hard , and the pillows were not plush . i had to ask for additional as there were originally only two i have a back and neck issue so this is important to me . there also wasn’t a throw blanket if it got cool ,which it did with the air con on during the night . the wooden furnishings were nice but in need of restoration they were very marked and stained , which makes you think they are dirty . They weren’t, just well worn

Old Hotel

Room size, balcony, shade and constant breeze plus lower temp in complex verses surrounding. Staff friendly and helpful. Noku restaurant, close to Curry Traders (best food & cocktail hour)!!

Gap around the front door frame letting in all the outside scooter and city noise in. Hotel upgrade noise during day (steel grinders). They don't take CC imprint on arrival so all payments are individual e.g drinks (no open tab) & coffees etc creating extra bank fees. No cash payment option... Gym is separate key pass from reception, also pool towels. Guests reserve sun loungers with towels pre breakfast when not using pool, hard to get a good spot, should be a pool rule! No swim no holds.
