Will not use this motel again

It was a good size unit

The carpets were so dirty, not sure if it was blood stains or what it was, its radish brown drippings next to the bed and under the Tv. The complete apartment smelled like wet dog too. I wanted to turn around and walk out but was so tired of travelling and decided to just stay the night, but at night realised the beds were also so uncomfortable you can feel the mattress coils coming through.

Location.

Too close to the road and you can hear traffic noise from the room. The amenities are outdated and there is no aircon. However, the staff was really friendly and they have updated us to queen suite.

Our family apartment was adequate for five of us. Wayfarer Motel is centrally located to within walking distance to shops in town, and a short drive to the grocery store. It's also on the main route north to Cape Reinga and west to Ahipara. The pool was crystal clear and a pleasure to cool off after a day at the beach. We didn't manage to make use of the spa but used the laundry regularly.

Some of our neighbours were noisy after sundown.

We stayed for 2 nights did not get room cleaned. Bad wifi and for a family of 5 we had small TV with bad reception. The rooms looked nothing like the photos and everything was old and outdated. The spa was not working and had to ask for clean towels because the room was not cleaned on second day

Disappointed in motel for the cost per night. Property requires some maintenance.

Location to Cape Regina

Guests require ear plugs as rooms are not very sound proof. Both nights guests in other rooms talked till after midnight, making hard to sleep. Guards dogs in next property were a bit loud, assumed they were guard dogs. Shower pressure in our room has very low and bathroom basin plug would not work.

Handy location for the function at the fire station, which is why selected and the best I could find in the area Friendly polite staff, front of house and housekeeping

Attention to detail of cleaning - light fixtures not clean - dust and filter dirty on the hairdryer - the shower needed a detailed clean , especially around the rollers and shower fitting - skirting boards - window frames and fixtures - no fan in the bathroom, which meant having the window open and it exposed the yuk outside - the filthy film on the window by the kitchenette, again didn't want to open window - the tired kitchenette facilities ie cutlery , utensils, crockery etc - extra ard bed - soft pillows - wouldn't used heater and tired extras in the cupboard Was not a deluxe superior room by standards I have come to enjoy for similar price elsewhere

Overpriced, old and poorly maintained.

Very tired and old room that needs painting and updating badly. Ceiling was flaking and water Keane’s marks. Internet kept dropping out. Shower head was fixed to the wall and could not be adjusted to your own height. Tap on basin was loose. Ants on bench as soon as any food was put near the hotplate. Carpark numbering was not in line with location of rooms.

Dated property

Property is very dated and old. Clean though. A lot of noise from street, next to and behind the building; including the units next door. Didnt feel like a safe place to stay. Looking out window at kitchen, could see next door (rubbish and old appliances). Parking was tight - people not parked in their unit spaces maybe (?) and not parked properly created less parking. It is in town though so if you want to walk to shops that's easy.

The room was so filthy and smelled of B.O and curry. The dogs next door barked all night and there were no curtains on the kitchen windows to block out the street lights and the morning sun.
