The hospitality was top notch! The hotel was beautiful and the pool, relaxation areas, and saunas were wonderful. It is conveniently located right in town and is easily walking distance. The food was wonderful, as well.

A lovely boutique family run hotel, this is our second stay at the property in the last two years. The half board is fabulous and a must, quality of food is very good. The spa facilities and gym are excellent especially for the size of the hotel.

Great location, fabulous huge room with amazing view and balcony. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing
Parking was easy. Spa was fantastic really enjoyed our stay
Not hotel fault but practically everything in town is closed on a Monday

The positives: beautifully clean rooms with thoughtful touches like bath salts and fresh tea, stunning views, a well-equipped gym, and a pleasant breakfast with a small buffet and made-to-order options. Afternoon tea cakes were a welcome touch.
The wellness area disappointed. One sauna room costs extra despite being next to the free ones, the “ice room” never worked, and the space lacks basic functional elements — no clear labels on buttons, no posted sauna temperatures, and no visible cold drinking water. The rooftop “whirlpool” is surprisingly small — barely fitting four people — more like a household tub than a resort feature.
Room design leans heavily on form over function: no shower door leads to water spreading into the living area, the space steams up quickly, and ventilation is poor. The designer sink splashes due to its awkward geometry — the long faucet pours directly onto a flat convex drain, making it messy to use.
Breakfast felt unnecessarily restricted — simple items like yogurt or cold cuts must be ordered à la carte, served on oversized plates at small tables, slowing the experience. We were also surprised that excursions and spa elements like the “melarium” cost extra, especially given their presentation on the website and our prior experiences at similarly priced hotels in the region where such offerings were included.

The staff were so lovely helping us to plan hikes & recommending Refugio’s to eat at
Beds were super comfy
Great location in the centre of Castlerotto- stroll to the supermarket and gelato & minutes away from the bus which takes you for free (with the mobility pass)
Minor comment - the spa area felt a bit outdated
Wouldn’t stop us staying again we loved it

everything was amazing, I can’t wait to be back there. the interior is stunning, so well thought and with great attention to detail. the rooms design is state of art - the bathroom was fully integrated in the room and the furniture was so stylish.
the exterior is fabulous as well: modern hotel architecture meets Dolomites views. The town is also super cute although tiny but still the vibe is amazing. the ski lift is just a short ride by bus, very convenient.
the spa in the hotel is very nice - good variety of saunas and big swimming pool as well as outdoor whirlpool.
the food was just wow! breakfast absolutely delicious with a good variety of local products. dinner was beyond expectations - every day we had fabulous wine dining experience with local wines. and it was so thoughtful that you can open a bottle and keep it for the next day!
the staff is so lovely, helpful and professional. thanks for everyone for a great work!
it’s definitely a must visit hotel and I can’t recommend it more

Its a nice and modern hotel
not bike friendly - we arrived with two bikes and immediately were told, that there is no free space in the bike room. We were advised to park our bikes in the underground parking behind our car, which was obviously not an option. After the checkout we went to check the bike room - turned out it was a ski room with some space to store bikes, we parked one bike there and had to keep the other one in our room for the whole stay, which turned out to be a better option - someone knocked the bike in the ski room and badly damaged the paint on the frame in several places

Location was excellent, and the hotel gave us both bus passes to get to Alpe di Suisi. The breakfast was delicious, and we recommend the 4 course dinner at the hotel as well. The staff went above and beyond helping us with everything from navigating hikes to providing a fan due to the heat wave in the area. Sabina and Katharine were outstanding at the front desk, Sandra knows everything about wine, and Peter makes excellent drinks in the bar. We can’t say enough about the staff at Schgagular Hotel! Everything was perfect!
Can’t think of one thing.

Stunning and aesthetic hotel, designed impeccably. Delicious half board; we looked forward to every meal because it was so good. Great welcome beverage; they made us a non-alcoholic Moscow Mule because we don’t drink and it was yummy. Great location near the town square and a good gelato cafe. They give you a free bus pass, so that you can get around the town and the surrounding destinations. This hotel should be considered an attraction for Castelrotto.
The pool area was actually a little underwhelming. For such a chic and design forward hotel, the pool looked like an afterthought and can be improved upon to make it competitive to other Dolomites hotels like Faloria. Additionally, they aren’t very transparent that water and beverages cost extra in half board, which wasn’t the case at our other hotels in the area.
