Historical charm meets the elegance, luxury, design & art in the Adriatic! Spectacular!

Location is absolutely perfect - we even got a room with the view of the Plazza – everything is within walking distance, yet the arrival feels completely effortless. An electric car/train picks you up (together with your luggage), shows you where to park, and drives you directly to the hotel. From that moment on, you truly feel taken care of. They will gladly drive you anywhere you need – even to their partner hotels, like Hotel Lone or Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, if you wish to enjoy a day spa or wellness experience. For a city hotel, having access to such beautiful wellness facilities is a huge advantage. The value for money is exceptional. Breakfast is simply outstanding – instead of a buffet, you are given a menu and can choose whatever you desire. The incredibly kind staff serves you a variety of delicious food and drinks with such care and elegance that breakfast itself becomes a true experience. The entire team is warm, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. You are welcomed with special treats in the room, and even the room fragrances are exceptional – you can choose between three different scents depending on your mood. Everything feels intentional, refined, and beautifully curated. In my opinion, this is the most wonderful hotel in Istria – and perhaps in all of Croatia. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Buzzing stylish hotel excellently located

The hotel is excellently positioned in the centre of old town Rovinj and near many restaurants that line this most pretty harbour. The lobby bar has a great terrace on the edge of the newly completed pedestrian zone, as does the Brasserie. The choice and quality of food in the Brasserie were excellent, and the service was excellent. The lobby bar was particularly happening and busy near the New Year period, and I have never seen bar staff work harder.

It is a place where people are just popping in all the time, so quite crowded. The fact that the hotel is part of the Maistra empire is of little benefit outside the summer season. We found the Grand Park a soulless place, with the famous restaurant Cap Auro totally overrated and over priced.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful town. Would definitely stay there again, but would avoid the summer.

Hotel is located in Old Town with rooms having magnificent harbor views. Staff was exceptional and breakfast excellent. Hotel was quiet because it was November and very few people in town. During the season, noise & music from bars is inevitable because you’re in the Old Town. Very good gym is a 15 minute walk along the beautiful waterfront to a sister property outside of the Old Town.

Hotel has no control over the fact there is no driving or parking allowed in the Old Town. The hotel has a private parking area where they will pick you up. A comfortable, covered cart will drive you about 5 minutes to the hotel. This service worked very well although need to contact/call hotel to arrange pickup time. Parking was included in room rate.

Great location, great staff, and good restaurant.

Helpful, welcoming and friendly staff. They offered a free voucher to use for roundtrip boat ride to 2 islands where they had property. The location was ideal overlooking the sea right on the promenade. Beautiful sundet. Very close to attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was very good with wide selection of food items and beverages even if served a la carte. We were in Room 5 overlooking the water. Bedroom was spacious with a separate sitting area with a couch and occasional chair. Tastefully decorated. They gave complimentary water and welcome desserts of 2 strawberry tartes with fresh strawberries. Every night, they gave 2 small bite sized pastries. They also gave a parting gift of a bottle of salt and pepper. Overall , this hotel was well worth the price being charged.

In the evening, you can hear music being played along the promenade. It can interfere with anyone trying to go to bed early because the music was loud.

The service provided by all of the staff was exceptional. Breakfast was substantial and delicious, and the daily treats and notes from housekeeping were a lovely touch. Excellent location. Very comfortable beds. Access to sister property was appreciated.

My only comment is that the room was not very functional—it was quite dark and didn’t offer much space.

Lovely boutique hotel in Rovinj

Prime location by the waterside. Well appointed luxurious rooms. Bed was firm and comfortable. Responsive to request for firm pillows.

Trying to drive the car to the hotel was confusing. At online check in we were asked for the car registration for the smart gate, but after spinning our wheels around the city centre we just parked and walked to the hotel. Then they told us that it is not possible to drive there, but a buggy will pick you from your car. Suggest providing this information at the online check in or email beforehand.

Spectacular Hotel in Rovinj!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Adriatic in Rovinj. In fact, my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The hotel staff was exceptional. We called when we were 30 minutes away and then when we were 5 minutes from the arranged meeting spot (hotel is in a pedestrian only zone) and when we pulled up, the bellman was waiting in the hotel golf cart. We were escorted to the close-by parking lot and then taken by cart to the hotel. Every single person we interacted with at the hotel was friendly and helpful and the room was very, very nice. We ate a delicious dinner in the hotel and had the included a la carte breakfast (which was spectacular). Everything about this hotel was great and we highly recommend it. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to go back for longer. It doesn't hurt that Rovinj is truly beautiful and the hotel's location on the harbor can't be beat.

Hotel Adriatic is the best way to immerse yourself in all the magic that Rovinj has to offer.

In our many decades of travel, we have rarely encountered a hotel experience as close to perfect as this one. Maistra has a number of hotels in and around Rovinj, all of them no doubt excellent, all of them quite different from each other. Their Grand Park hotel offers the big 5-star experience. Their Island Istra resort offers remoteness and tranquility. The Adriatic is just 18 rooms in the heart of the Old Town and offers the sort of exclusive boutique experience that we most enjoy. You are steps from restaurants of the best quality. The historic town boardwalk starts right outside the front door. The hotel itself, small as it is, has two bars and a restaurant serving fine cuisine. We had some of the best breakfasts of our lives sitting outside on the front terrace people‑watching as locals strolled by in the charming square in front of us. The exterior architecture dates from the Renaissance era and is steeped in character. The interiors are all fully renovated, well designed, cozy and luxurious. Don't expect gyms, swimming pools, multiple eating options or the like. Such things are available in the Grand Park. This one is a boutique hotel. Keep those expectations in line.

If I were forced to mention anything negative, it would be the decision to paint the common area hallways pitch black. This peculiar design decision creates a strange goth ambience, which does not fit in with the rest of the hotel design. However, this is a very minor quibble. If you are spending any amount of time in the hallways, you are missing the point of staying here.

The staff was extraordinary, including Anet at the front desk, Andrea (who drove us to the hotel from the outskirts of town), and especially Astrid, who served us breakfast. The hotel is located in the best possible place for walking around the town or viewing it from your windows. The hotel chain owns another hotel on the island at the entrance to the harbor, and as a guest of the Adriatic you have exclusive access to the island, which is a great place to spend a day.

Perfect Place to Hang

Everything: the staff, the room, the location, the breakfast...top notch comfort.

Nothing....well maybe the black tone of the interiors in the hallway. I am sure it is a design feature, but I find it hard to adjust between light and complete darkness stepping into the hallway from the room or the elevator. Takes a little bit of adjustment for senior eyes.

Not so convenient to park. And it would be better if the hotel sent instructions; was driving around for 30 mins confused by Google Maps and the listed phone number to the hotel wasn’t working. I messaged through the app and they gave me instructions but this could all be avoided by sending parking instructions once booked (and updating the phone number listed on their website)

A place you keep coming back to

Love the usable amenities of the other properties wellness and spa (the only 5-star resort in Croatia) and choice of free beach shuttles to other property islands. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were well decorated, modern and clean. Location is fantastic being right at the heart of Rovinj. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

Everything was excellent! Just a reminder for people who are planning to park a car to call reception before due to construction so they can help with parking.

Breakfast was fabulous, choices, quantity and quality! And the terrace was lovely.

Our room had no view except of another window but we weren't in it very long and the room itself was so nice it didn't matter.

Wonderful location, beautiful hotel, great service and first class dining.

Travelling in March our room on the corner of the hotel was perfect. The town was not too busy and so our room was quiet at night eventhough it was above the hotel outdoor seating area. We had lovely views of the town square and also the bay across to the Grand Park hotel. It was an easy walk around the bay to the parkland and coast path. There are many places to eat and drink in the area of the hotel but we enjoyed the food and service in the hotel so much we ate there all the time. All the food was extremely good. The Breakfast menu was varied and everything was first class. All the staff were lovely and charming. The hotel housekeeping was of a high standard our room was permanently kept clean and all items refreshed daily. Reception was efficient and welcoming and the staff who drove us to our car really friendly and helpful.

We loved everything! I would seek out Maistra group hotels in future if travelling to the region. It would have been lovely to visit the spa at the Grand Park but we did not have time.

It's not the first time we've been here, we'll definitely be back.

The location of the hotel is great, the staff is kind and helpful, the hotel is stylish, with great interior design, the breakfast is perfect.

There were 2 TVs in the room, but unfortunately neither was a smart TV. All the equipment in the room was of very high quality, including the bed, but a spring was sticking out of it. Apart from those two things, everything was perfect.
