Great location to explore Rovinj old town

Location was great (within the old town) and nice to explore the alleys and plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Breakfast in the nearby building was simple but sufficient, great service and nice ambience.

Air conditioning not cold (usual case in cold weather), so we opened the window to let in cool air. However, people walking along the street will be walking or making noise which directly can be heard inside the room.

Lovely accommodations in a picturesque area with amazing hosts!

The apartment was well appointed and the beds and linens were very comfortable as was the couch on the lovely balcony. Was a relaxing, sunny niche in the afternoons. The location was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Staff were very responsive upon our arrival with clear and easy parking instructions and golf cart transit from the parking area to the apartment. Highly recommend!!!

Great location in the city centre, newly refurbished and modern, and very clean.

Uncomfortable bed (a soft mattress falling through) and minimal breakfast (no variety and actually doesn't taste good).

The staff was so helpful and kind. Their English is so strong which helps. Superb location for exploring Rovinj. Clean, updated and charming.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and contemporary. Nice bathroom products supplied. We really enjoyed the breakfast included, at a nearby restaurant.

Fabulous location and accomodation

Fabulous location and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly, they booked an amazing restaurant - El Bugadur. Highly recommend. They also organised a golf cart transfer to our car hire location. The breakfast was 20-50metrrs away, fabulous.

Fabulous central boutique hotel

Fabulous boutique hotel, right in the heart of the old town. So close to many bars and restaurants. Wonderful 2 bed suite on the top floor with a fantastic terrace. Cowshed toiletries very luxurious. Great fluffy bath towels. Loved the D and G kettle and toaster! Parking outside the old town, but the hotel sends out a buggy to collect and drop off.

Google maps sends you to the parking exit, rather than entrance. The staff worked it out though!

Gorgeous Boutique Hotel

The Melegran exceeded our expectations. This gorgeous boutique hotel is located within one of the narrow alleyways in the old town. We loved how near to everything we were, nothing felt far away. The breakfast is served within a nearby restaurant which is only a short walk away, this didn’t bother us at all. We loved the quaint hotel bar and friendly staff who could not do enough for us, always ensuring we had everything we needed.

My only slight improvement would be to have more storage in the room. It felt like there wasn’t a lot of space to hang our clothes however for those doing shorter stays this wouldn’t be a problem.

Incredible charm that matches this lovely city.

Absolutely everything. The room was so spacious with a fabulous decor. Both the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. To be able to walk out of the hotel and a block over was the artist’s street with creativity all around. Rovinj had always been a bucket list destination and this hotel matched what I had hoped for on my trip to this beautiful city with all of its charm.

Short and very sweet.

We were impressed by the greeting, the helpfulness, the lift to the bus-stop, the location of the hotel... there was a lot to enjoy. Also, to an eccentric who treasures unexpected capital 'B's, the toilet-roll holder was a delight.

We stayed in a lot of hotels in the past 10 days, and if I'm confusing you in my comments with another I apologise. But I think it was the Melegran where the size of the pillows was baffling - one vast, one very small for each of us. The minimalist TV remote needed a YouTube video to work out. The lighting and lighting controls were fussy and barely adequate.

A great place to stay to experience Old Town Rovinj

There was everything to like about the Melegran in terms of service. The staff were exceptional- always cheerful and very helpful. The first person we met was Melanie who set the tone for a lovely experience. The location could not be better - in the heart of Old Town and on the way to the church. You could tell that the property had been upgraded. The quality of the linens and towels also amazing including bath sheets and facecloths. They have a very cute little bar and you could have a drink outside as well and watch the world go by. Also a good buffet breakfast at a nearby restaurant where you could sit inside or outside.

It wasn’t that we didn’t like it but you need to be aware that there are no elevators in any of the hotels. Timmy took our luggage up the stairs to our rooms so that was not a problem. The hotel has reserved parking outside the Old Town. The information they send in advance about finding the parking area was very detailed and the GPS got us there. Once there, we weren’t sure where to park but found out that they have reserved spaces with the hotel name on the spots. They pick you up in a shuttle once you notify them that you have arrived. If you don’t have international calling, I would suggest you set the hotel up on WhatsApp so you can message them when you arrive.

Relaxing

A warm welcome at the front desk, a cosy room with tasty decoration, under the roof (room 18), very quite off season (March). Good breakfast. Parking and transfer arrangements very well organized. We will definitvely come back to the Melegran.

Cute Rovinj stay & attention to detail

Kind and attentive staff, lovely room decorations (particularly important for my trip with a 5yr old) and a comfortable location. We were welcomed with a gift ready for my niece which she absolutely adored. It’s all in the details and we found them at The Melegran.

Boutique style room in a great location.

Excellent venue, we had one of purpose-built conversions in an old house, ours was on the top floor with 30+ stairs to the front door. The room was well-presented with a boutique feel. Toiletries were from Cow Shed and there is an opulent golden theme to the decor with some obvious thought put into the furnishings. Kettle and Nespresso-style coffee maker available together with fridge/minibar. Breakfast provided outdoors by a nearby restaurant on an "all you can eat" self-service basis was excellent with a good range of choices. Coffees from a dispenser machine rather than barrista-made. The location is not on the water-front but deeper into the old town which is a bonus as the tall buildings prevent the direct heat from the harbour at the middle of the day. One tiny down-side there's already some water-damage evident in the shower-base that needs attention. I'm guessing not the fault of the designer though. Would stay here again without hesitation, it's a great location for exploring what Rovinj offers.

The hotel had a lot of personality. We loved our room, the bar, the location, everything. On one of our nights there was amazing live music, the staff were all incredibly nice and our room was full of little gems of thoughtfulness. We’d come back anytime ☺️

Give it a pass

The property is in a good location in old town. The staff weee consistently friendly and helpful. The restaurant that provides breakfast has an excellent buffet..

One has to turn sideways to cross the end of the bed.My 35ft boat has a bigger cabin than the room in this place and I don't have to climb very steep stairs. If you dream of being hidden in the attic, this is the place for you.

A great place to stay in the middle of Rovinj

Every detail of the property is well thought and done with consideration for convenience. Kudos to the owners Adrian and Lea who have done the utmost guests to feel at home.

As the Melegran is located in the Old City, it has no lift in the property. This should be made known to people with movement disabilities as they won’t be able to climb the stairs 4-5 floors
