Villa Tuttorotto

This was a terrific find and I would stay there again -- the perfect lodging for our family of four for our stay in Rovinj. We appreciated the space to be together as a family (but also that we could have our own spaces to relax in quiet). Having a kitchen to prepare simple meals using ingredients from the local markets was a great convenience. The location was wonderful- an easy walk to everything - and we appreciated enjoying the music from the evening concerts from our bedroom! What really stands out is the hospitality -- we were met at the parking lot by the hotel staff, who helped transport us and our luggage to our apartment, and then helped us again at check out.

Excellent location in Rovinj old town near main square and restaurants. Beautiful historic building with plenty of character. Attractive décor throughout. Two lovely views across the marina towards the Grand Park Hotel. Small balcony area where you can eat breakfast in the common area. Airport transfer was arranged by the property and worked smoothly.

- Having stayed in several other properties in Rovinj, I found the hospitality noticeably weaker than I expected for a boutique property. - Breakfast was very disappointing and extremely limited. Some fruit appeared past its best, the yoghurt was watery and the buffet selection was very sparse (a plate of cheese and a plate of sliced meat). Other than this, breakfast consisted mainly of an egg cooked to order and bread rolls. - No complimentary tea, coffee or water in the room. - The lack of a kettle was particularly noticeable as there was no self-service coffee available at breakfast. - The fridge is a paid minibar, leaving very little space for your own food and drinks. - The desk was too small to work comfortably at, and did not provide any adequate leg room. - Power sockets were inconveniently positioned. Some were occupied by fixed appliances and the remaining sockets were difficult to use with travel adapters. - After agreeing to pay the tourist tax at check-out, I was later unexpectedly asked to pay beforehand while leaving for an evening event, which was inconvenient. This came across as a bit disorganized. -The large room key was awkward to carry alongside the main entrance pass. At check-in, staff suggested leaving it in a basket at the entrance, but I was not comfortable doing so as reception was not staffed 24/7. - Overall, the experience did not justify the boutique positioning or the price paid.
