We had a lovely relaxing stay at Katarina Island.

The Island is beautiful, plenty of areas to relax in peace, the view is outstanding of Rovinj. Boats were always on time.

The cooked items at breakfast was always cold except for the omelettes. No kettle in room and no complimentary bottle of water when we arrived.

The staff were so helpful! We were meeting friends we haven't seen in ages and it was amazing.

Ferry schedule is something you have to be very aware of because it can be difficult to pla around.

Great holiday, exactly what we wanted.

Best buffet breakfast I've ever seen and eaten. Pools spotless and interesting. Island location was great for peace and quiet and the beach was lovely. The ferry service was reliable and hourly. We needed the air con. because the temp was in high 30's and it delivered blissfully chilled air.

Would have liked an a la carte dinner service rather than buffet for a change. Our rooms (suite) were beginning to look a bit tired, but perfectly acceptable.

Such a wonderful experience at Katarina Island

Loved the fact that we were on our own island. The serene gardens , pool and beach were delightful. Boat transfers were efficient and punctual. Staff were very friendly & helpful as we had to depart at 5am so they arranged transport for us to get off the island early. Highly recommend this place

All in all, very much OK. Decent value for the money - at least in the low season.

Beautiful location, nice pools, friendly staff, good food

The bathroom in the family room is too small and clearly in need of renovation (apparently, this hasn't changed since our last stay 3 years ago). The hotel's parking lot does not feature charging stations for electric vehicles, so we had to find a public one in Rovinj. There are not too many available in Rovinj, so we ended up charging on the parking lot of a supermarket, which was slightly inconvenient.

Amazing property on a beautiful island that’s just a 5 min ferry ride from Rovinj. One of the highlights of our trip. Incredible breakfast buffet and great sports center.

Buffet breakfast had a huge array of options on offer. The location on its own island was perfect and only a 5 minute ferry boat ride to the town. All the staff were fantastically helpful and friendly.

The room was basic which we expected t from a 3 star hotel. Our room had a desk but no desk chair so it would have been useful to have that (we took a balcony chair in). It was very clean and a comfortable and large bed.

Very special and quite place to go.

I have that it was its own island and the little boat came every hour so it was nice and easy to still explore. The pool was a great size and the views all around the island was amazing. Id love to go back one day.

The rooms definitely need a bit of a refurbishment as they are old-fashioned. And I wish they had an all inclusive option as it is expensive for drinks if you are planning on staying there all day.

Amazing location, great beach, great pools. Staff is amazing. Marko and Luka great help on reception, best smile and very friendly. Valentina in the pool bar also amazing. Also, hats down to animation team, they are doing amazing job. Sabina in the restaurant could use some smiling lessons. Very good breakfast and dinner

Heavenly island paradise

Oh God, it was amazing. What a magical heavenly spot. The whole garden island belongs to the hotel. Only 3 stories, spread out, great facilities, dreamy jewel from where you can practically touch romantic Rovinj. They come and get you or drop you from the company' s info point or the town's main dock on the mainland by Boat, only a 5 min ride. Once you are on the island with its private pebble beaches, bars and clear water, landscaped grounds, you feel the magic of the place . Comfy elegant room with balconyand incredibly extensive top quality breakfast. Come hungry! You can walk around the whole island too! A quiet and luxurious island get-away in gorgeous Rovinj. Staff was nice and everyone spoke English perfectly too.

The one and only negative is the infrequent bost service, only once an hour. A lit of waiting if you miss it.

Relaxing quiet location close to the bustle of fabulous Rovinj.

The location of the hotel is stunning, on its own island. It had a beautiful atmosphere. We had a lovely room with a sea view. The buffet style breakfasts were very good indeed with lots of hot and cold food to choose from.

The hotel could have provided a wider range of snacks at lunchtime. As you are "trapped" on the island (in a nice way) with boats to Rovinj once an hour, it's not possible to pop across whenever you want. We only ate in the restaurant one evening - it was very reasonably priced and perfectly adequate, but not fantastic. About what you'd expect for the money, I guess.

Location was perfect. Hotel on a green island accross Rovinj old town. Free boat rides for hotel guests. Staff was very friendly and overall service was great.

a taste of heaven

I don't know if I prefer more the location of the hotel or the peace that the island offers. In the embrace of wonderful nature hides a hint of old-fashioned luxury with the breath of a modern hideout for mental relaxation. Especially, if you are greeted by a receptionist with a smile like Marko does, it's only a matter of time before I come visit it again. :) Complete peace is filled only by the meditative sounds of waves and birds. A bit of the city bustle can be reached in just 5 minutes by boat. Definitely an experience for a break that I would recommend to everyone.

Enjoyable 4 days on katarina island

Relaxing island vibe , easy boat ride to Rovinj , quiet except for the squawking gulls at night. Breakfast and dinner were varied and acceptable, sometimes not quite determinable what was in the mixtures, but coffee was excellent. Staff was helpful. we walked around the island which was very pleasant.

Room I had booked was too tiny . they offered family room with a tiny, dangerous shower , so we switched to another room that was very satisfactory other than the shower floor was very slippery when used.

Amazing location on its own quiet and secluded island

Quiet pebble beaches with access to the clear blue sea. Fabulous view from our 3rd floor room overlooking the old town of Rovinj. The short boat ride to and from town.
