We had a lovely relaxing stay at Katarina Island.

The Island is beautiful, plenty of areas to relax in peace, the view is outstanding of Rovinj. Boats were always on time.

The cooked items at breakfast was always cold except for the omelettes. No kettle in room and no complimentary bottle of water when we arrived.

Klid a bydlení na ostrově s možností kdykoliv navštívit centrum ostrova Rovinj. Předloni jsme bydleli na vzdálenějším ostrově a musím říct, že výhled z balkónu přímo na historické centrum nemá konkurenci🤍✨.

Rezervace úseku pláže ostrova pro hosty Grandu a nemožnost jeho využití i při neobsazení, přičemž i nehosté hotelu Katarina z centra mají možnost na ostrově využívat lehátek (s poplatkem). Což je ale jen malá “kaňka” na této dokonalé dovolené:).

Die Lage ist phänomenal. Buffet ist sehr abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig - auch für Vegetarier. Das Personal ist superfreundlich.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Wer darüber hinwegsehen sehen kann wird einen fantastischen Aufenthalt haben - ob mit oder ohne Kinder.

Tolle Lage, überwiegend freundliches Personal, weitläufige jedoch teilweise pflegebedürftige Anlage

Leider haben alle Touristen Zugang zur Insel, weshalb die wenigen Strandabschnitte schnell besetzt sind - auch Strandbar und Imbiss sind deshalb etwas zu gut besucht. Die Anlage ist im Allgemeinen sehr schön, allerdings auch renovierungsbedürftig.

Мне не понравилась холодная вода в бассейне. Мой ребенок не купается в море, специально выбирала отель с бассейном с морской водой, но он реально холодный! Понимаю, что все это очень субъективно - ну вот для таких не любителей холодной воды это прямо минус. Но единственный.

Der Strum hatte viele alte Bäume auf der Insel entwurzelt, gerade Woche vor uns. MAn mus sehen wie die Aufräumarbeiten im Winter voran gehen. Hoffe dass die Insel 2026 wieder ganz begehbar ist. (Bei uns waren viele Wege gesperrt)

Great holiday, exactly what we wanted.

Best buffet breakfast I've ever seen and eaten. Pools spotless and interesting. Island location was great for peace and quiet and the beach was lovely. The ferry service was reliable and hourly. We needed the air con. because the temp was in high 30's and it delivered blissfully chilled air.

Would have liked an a la carte dinner service rather than buffet for a change. Our rooms (suite) were beginning to look a bit tired, but perfectly acceptable.

Such a wonderful experience at Katarina Island

Loved the fact that we were on our own island. The serene gardens , pool and beach were delightful. Boat transfers were efficient and punctual. Staff were very friendly & helpful as we had to depart at 5am so they arranged transport for us to get off the island early. Highly recommend this place

Entspannte Tage in Rovinj

Die Lage vom Hotel auf einer Insel mit Strand und gepflegtem Park mit altem Baumbestand direkt gegenüber von Rovinj ist perfekt. Man kann herrlich entspannen, es ist sehr ruhig und man ist schnell mit dem Boot mitten im Aldstadtleben. Wir waren in der Vorsaison da, aber das Areal ist so groß dass man sicher auch in der Hauptsaison immer ein gutes schattiges Plätzchen findet, obwohl auch Nicht- Hotelgäste die Insel zum Baden besuchen können und das auch tun, da es in Rovinj kaum Strände gibt. Die Fähre bringt einen stündlich direkt in den alten Hafen an der Altstadt und an den neuen Hafen. Von da gibt es den perfekt organisierten Parkplatzshuttle. Man muss ca 20 Minuten rechnen bis man am Auto ist (incl Fährfahrt) Das Frühstück ist gut mit ausreichender Auswahl, auch frisches Obst. Die Säfte sind eher Limonaden, nicht wirklicher frischer O-Saft.

Das Standart Zimmer war ziemlich klein und die Möbel sehr einfach/abgewohnt. Da erwartet man für den Preis doch etwas mehr, Möbel müssten dringend ausgetauscht werden. Bad auch sehr klein aber modernisiert, war ok. Balkon klein aber für 2 Personen ausreichend mit sehr schönem Blick. Auf der Insel gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Wenn man nicht selbst am SB Kiosk am Strand 3,80 Euro für ein kleines Wasser bezahlen möchte, muss man in Rovinj einkaufen und mit rüber bringen. Auch die anderen Getränke waren recht teuer. Für Strand/Pooltücher muss man 5 Euro bezahlen, möchte mann ein frisches Handtuch, jedes mal wieder 5 Euro pro Handtuch, finde ich auch bei dem Hotel Preis nicht adäquat.

The bathroom in the family room is too small and clearly in need of renovation (apparently, this hasn't changed since our last stay 3 years ago). The hotel's parking lot does not feature charging stations for electric vehicles, so we had to find a public one in Rovinj. There are not too many available in Rovinj, so we ended up charging on the parking lot of a supermarket, which was slightly inconvenient.
