Great stay in the Old City

Even though this year we only had a "touch and go" stay in Rovinj, Svitlana and her crew made it memorable... Her guest house is located in the middle of the old town, next to a nice cafe where you can have a lovely breakfast too. The beds are comfy and there's enough storage for someone who goes there to enjoy the beauty of the place and not to ferry in their whole wardrobe; the bathrooms are functional and clean and there's a coffee machine at the front desk always ready for all guests. Needless to say that all the attractions are within walking distance... Check in/out was fast and accurate : Svitlana will clearly explain you all steps, so if you're in for an alternative to being "processed" by the global networks, this could be a good place for you to try...

Clean, cozy and super nice host

The apartment is clean and equipped with everything that is needed. You have a feeling that you are in some boat because you have a window through where starts can be seen and you have great view to the sea.

As a gentle side note, for taller guests, the attic apartment might feel a bit snug in certain areas; however, since I’m not very tall, it was perfectly comfortable for me.

Great stay in the center of the old city of Rovinj

The Golden Goose is nestled in the heart of the old City of Rovinj. It is a bit of a walk from the parking areas, but there are no cars allowed in the old town, so that's how it is. It was quiet, clean, and recently refurbished. They made good use of the tight spaces offered by these old buildings.

Everything was fine. I have stayed in Rovinj many, many times, and I found this apartment to be one of the nicest.

A wonderful hotel tucked within the walls of the old city of Rovinj. Svitlana, the owner, communicated with the clearest of instructions and information. The room was just right, and all modern bathroom accessories. Treat yourself to free parking a distance away, and Svitlana will arrange to pay very fair rate for a taxi and golf cart to whisk you to the Golden Goose of Rovinj. Svitlana was so kind and wanted nothing but the best for her guests.

Excellent apartment, hosts, location, bedroom tree house feel for a great price!

Excellent location within Old Town to have as a home base while exploring the beauty of Rovinj. Close to all of the historical sites, restaurants, cocktail bars, espresso bars, and the waterfront. Getting to the apartment was a breeze, access is set up with keys in a lock box, and all coordination prior to arrival was through What's app that made check in super easy. The apartment was on the upper floors on two levels. A small sitting room upon entry, useful kitchenette, and shower. The upper-level attic bedroom was spectacular with a bright sunny space through 3 large skylights that generously opened up for harbor views, city views and a delicious view of the St. Euphemia Bell Tower. The bedroom was fit up with a very comfortable bed, storage options, sitting area for a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset and boats, and a simple bathroom. All was clean and simply appointed with all basic needs covered. A spectacular find for location and cost!

This is really not a complaint, but if you are tall you will have to bend your head and body to get on the bed and walk around the bedroom level to the bathroom. Skylights can be opened for more head room while in the sitting area. It would be nice to have a table associated with the tall seating for wine, glasses, and snacks while enjoying the harbor views. You could have a third join as the entry sitting room had what looked like a futon, but it did look a little bit worn.

It is not an appartment. It is just a bedroom with a bathroom. 12 m2 as maximum. The windows.are quite small and they overlook the roof of the house. And the air conditioned, quite old,.

A great place to stay in the heart of old town!

The location was great, right in the heart of old town. Easy and clear entry instructions. The staff rapidly replied to questions that I had and had a lot of good suggestions as to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches and getting to the islands. Good view from the bedroom windows that tilted in, you could stick your head out and enjoy your morning coffee while looking at the ocean. My room was on the second floor and contained a sitting room/dining room/kitchen/shower. Then up a flight of steps to the top floor bedroom and bathroom

You had to be aware of where your head was in the bathroom as it was on the upper floor and the roof was slanted.

Amazing!

We loved the accommodation and host was so helpful with questions and information that is nice to know. Everything we asked we received from the restaurants to rental car information. Everything was lovely. Hope to visit again!

Cold water shower the first day/night but the host fixed it immediately for the end of the day shower. Towels were worn and rough, not soft. No kitchen towel to dry dishes or hands, just paper towel. All else was perfect!

Location was amazing. Right in the heart of the old city and close to everything you may need. Svitlana was super helpful with sending a list of recommended things to see, eat and do. The views from the top floor apartment were incredible! You definitely have to watch your head as it’s an attic style room, but so worth it for the views and stunning interior. I will stay here every time I come back to visit. Thank you Svitlana!

Fantastic hosts with super high standards

Great hosts! They looked after us when we had to do a little rearranging due to us arriving a day late because I was unable to arrive on time (unforeseen circumstances) - we were actually put in their other accomodation because of this, so can’t comment on this particular housing, HOWEVER if the standard of this accomodation is anything like their other place, it will be thoughtfully designed and executed to the highest of standards. We were seriously blown away by the standard. So clean and modern, yet warm and inviting with gorgeous personal touches. Great to come home to after being out and about in Rovinj, which can be a little hectic!

Excellent, well located stay in Rovinj!

Great little guest house in an excellent location! You are right in the heart of everything in Rovinj and walkable distance to the water, restaurants, shops, bars, etc. The host was extremely responsive, writing back on WhatsApp within an hour at most and provided great restaurant recommendations.

The pictures are of all of the rooms, so it was a little confusing at first. My room didn't have much of a view, but I didn't mind as I planned to spend time outside of it! The small kitchen is shared on the first floor, which was great. I didn't use it much, but it was nice to have access to a refrigerator. I was working remotely and the wifi was just okay, but this is an issue throughout all of the old town and the host did everything she could to remedy the situation.

Really handy when arrive on a late ferry! Very clean and comfortable and Svitlana a very hospitable host. Loved Rovinj and wished we had more time to explore!

The staff were very friendly. Alice gave us some tips where to go to eat and to go out. She was extremely nice to us and approachable.

The checkin was scheduled at 15:00 and the check out at 10 am. To pay a full day for this, I don’t think is worth it. In addition, the need to clean the AC. When we turned on the AC, there was a really bad smell in the room. They should take care about this asap.

The Guest House Golden Goose was an AMAZING experience! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Old Town Rovinj and close to the ferry dock and so many great restaurants. The room was very clean and modern and was air conditioned on very extremely hot days. The best part was the incredible VIEW! The top duplex has windows that open on the roof and you can sit and watch the harbor for hours. The staff is incredibly responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Great choice in rovinj!

This property was gorgeous and clean!! We loved being steps away from everything and how cute the house was. Check in was easy and the hosts were nice. The view of the sea was gorgeous as well.

Only suggestion I have is to put a motion light in the reception area. There were other motion lights in the stairs, but it would be nice in reception too.

Central location and amazingly nice staff!

Amazing staff, super friendly, nice and supportive! The main reason why we stayed at this apartment.

Apartment is very small for two persons. It looks much better on photos than in person. It was almost claustrophobic, as the floor is very short. Upper part of the apartment is room which was not clearly seen on the photos. It is very hot in the room and very tiny. Also, shower is separated from the rest of the washroom which is very inconvenient. It is also very complicated to come to the apartment and carry luggage, as there is no taxi that drives exactly to the apartment (which was also not clearly stated in the announcement), it takes a lot of time to reach the taxi and costs a lot. However, host is very supportive and helpful and with her help this challenge was solved. All in all, too high price for the value.
