    My partner and I stayed at the Tokaanu Lodge. We don’t mind the dated wallpaper, furniture and artwork - but the worst part was the electric blanket I used was sparking and had to be turned off. Thankfully we noticed this before a fire broke out. It is clearly a very old electric blanket and care needs to be taken to ensure things like this are functional. We had a lot of important things with us (pasaports included) which it would have been a disaster to lose in a fire. We tried to tell the staff on check out but they left a note saying they were away til 8pm. So we have left this review instead.
