Sauna is the winner…

It’s a beautiful place for a time away from it all. The bathroom is exceptional and the sauna in your own room has got to be the best feature. Add to that an included breakfast and the ability to charge my EV vehicle overnight was just the icing on the cake.

It would have been nice to have a TV in the room but there is a widescreen TV in the shared kitchen.

The Perfect Private Accommodation

Lovely private property, beautifully furnished bedroom and shared kitchen and lounge with other guests. Host was absolutely lovely and accommodation is almost the very best I’ve stayed in. Just a pity we were only there for one night

Beautiful location and accommodation, exceeds expectations. A home away from home!

This is an amazing place to stay, especially for those who don't like the hotel vibe and are looking to feel more at home. Everything is beautifully set out and wonderfully comfortable. I enjoyed saying hello to Teddy who was very sweet! Cathy was lovely and ensured everything was as I needed. I will definitely be back!

Loved this place. Beautiful rooms, Cathy is a lovely host. Really clean and comfortable. The shared breakfast lounge was very well set up with eggs, fruit, yogurts, breads and cereals. Only shared with one other room. There is also a kettle, tea and coffee in each room. Would definitely stay here again. And the dog is so sweet and friendly.

All was great. Sauna was a nice bonus. Nature surrounding the house was amazing, birds chirping. There was Moskito net on window (we open windows at night). We could wash clothes and have them dry soon after (there is dryer). Host was the best!

Beautiful place to stay, Cathy (& Teddy) we’re so friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very spacious, beautifully appointed and quiet & peaceful, we would definitely stay here again as we fly in/out of the local airport. We had dinner at the local pub, is a 3 min drive down the road with other shops. Breakfast was provided (help yourself) and the options were endless. Given the extra time we would have loved to walk around the area with the beautiful lifestyle properties.

One of the best in Tamahere

Perfect location for Mystery Creek events. Cathy is always welcoming and a great host with her happy dog Teddy. This is my second time here and will not hesitate to book here again. Room 1 is a big room with a large walk in wardrobe and huge bathroom. Comes with a balcony and a sauna. Very relaxing and quiet after a long day.

Wonderful night before my graduation day!

The property is located in the southeast of Hamilton, not too far from the CBD and Waikato University. It is a convenient, comfortable, and clean place to stay and live. And the owner, Cathy, is a warm and kind lady who serves us at the House. She always helps us solve any problems we have, like showering. We can enjoy the grassland with a lovely dog, chat with Cathy, and use the larger washing room with facilities like those in luxury hotels. Anyway, an unforgettable night at Tamahere for my graduation day!

We felt so inspired by the home, it was huge! So comfortable felt like a home 🏠 the air was fresh, it was quiet yet so peaceful especially coming from a city full of noises. We felt so welcomed by the owners + their dog 🐶 It was so so good i could go on and on but i better keep it short by saying a big thanks to them 🤲🏼

Such a lovely place to stay. Immaculate, clean and Cathy (and her mum) very friendly. We had a late check-in and Cathy kindly ensured the room was heated when we arrived. Small and thoughtful gesture which was very much appreciated after a long day in winter! Would definitely stay here in future. Lounge/breakfast area is warm and sunny and breakfast options were great.

Detached house in countryside, was 3km away from local shops including a pub restaurant.

Breakfast was help yourself with plenty on offer and full kitchen facilities. My dog was free to roam the grounds & the house. Their dog was friendly to me & my dog. After I got soaked by a harsh downpour, they were very helpful with extra towels.

Kathy, the owner is the sweetest lady. She really made us feel at home. Tamahere Lifestyle is a beautiful property, and the area is quiet and peaceful. Everything is so neat and clean and comfortable. We plan to go back in June. Loved our time there.

Great quiet place to stay

Great quiet place, Cathy was so welcoming and friendly it was like staying with family and our dog loved the yard space he was able to roam around without needing g to be on a lead. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast provided was fantastic. If we are in the area again would definitely stay again.

Thanks for a lovely restful stay in a beautiful location.

I stayed in room 1 upstairs. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a huge bathroom and a balcony (with a sauna!). My daughter was rowing at Karapiro and the property is 5 min from where they were staying at The Narrows, an easy 30 min drive to Karapiro ,and there are shops including a Four Square and a pharmacy 2 mins away. Cathy was great to deal with, very friendly and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean and I appreciated having the upstairs guest lounge where I could prepare food.

My only suggestion would be adding a mini Nespresso machine to the guest lounge.
