I booked Uni Motel because we attended the Zuru Night Glow on 21 March. This hotel is just 500 meters away from the venue, the University of Waikato. It was so convenient we parked our car in the motel parking and just walked to the event. Saved us the hassle queueing the event bus or driving back to Auckland. Small price to pay for convenience and safety.

Look very simple but new inside, good linen and bed, big room. You need to pick up the key from other motel, but they text you address a day before.

Good hotel, but no reception area. Unfortunately when we booked agoda did not advise us of this. When we arrived there was a notice on the door stating no reception with a phone number that no one answers even after 3 attempts. The notice advised us that we then had to travel to another motel which was 15 minutes away to pick up the keys and sign in. Not ok with the present cost of petrol increases especially as we had come n that way and practically driven past the other motel.
Very happy with Uni motel and would stay again, but would book through a different platform.
