The style of the home was what I might call Mediterranean. The setting of the home was very rural. The owners manage a nice big property containing gardens, ponies, sheep, and an alpaca. The interior (open and shoes off) invites one to feel at home with other guests. The rooms are private with options of different types and sizes. The breakfast was phenomenal, the area peaceful, and the sunset view from our balcony, awesome (we took the luxury suite which had balconies on both sides). The family manages the place and will cater to your comfort. I would stay again if I made another trip to NZ!

We were blown away by our stay in this comfortable ‘villa’ on a hill. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The hospitality was greatly appreciated and we really enjoyed getting to know our hosts over a delicious and satisfying breakfast. Visiting with the animals was a nice touch. Being close to Raglan made our trip complete. Thank you so much!

When a BnB is labelled a resort there are expectations that coincide with this. In reality this home is more like a boarding house. The front doors were open on arrival and the entry inside and out is scattered with shoes! We continued to call “hello” to find the host. The host was delightful, we still don’t know her name. The rooms are tired, very tired but clean. The shared bathroom is enormous, the shower floor has gloss tiles and should have non slip mats. Not all guests are agile. We stayed in over 10 BnB’s whilst in NZ, all bar this one offered a kettle and tea and coffee facilities with small fridge in the room. This was an overnight stop, it suited us for that, if you want more, we would not recommend here.
