Unfortunately there was not much to like. I turned up to check in to Gardena Motel only to find that I was to be staying in the Kings Court Motel instead which was so disappointing as it was nowhere near as nice. I checked in at 8.30pm, went to dinner and returned at 10.30pm so couldn't contact the owners about the issues listed below until the next morning. The clean sheets were the only nice thing about the room. No milk provided, no wifi information, stained carpets, mismatched glasses etc, a spot on the floor in the bathroom that was incredibly hot once you'd run the hot tap in the sink, the shower did not drain very well, in short an old and shabby Motel that needs money spent on doing it up. False advertising at its best - I booked based on what I saw in the pictures for Gardena Motel and that is not what I got! Have never been so disappointed in a booking.

Was just ok

Liked that the hotel was close to our event. That we had a functional kitchen including stove top. Staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with . That there was a freezer and fridge

What i didnt like was that the bed was broken and very noisy whenever u moved. Not enough towels or floor mats for the shower The light in the bathroom didnt go so u had to turn the fan light on which was very noisy The kitchen tap when used effects the shower flow - shower pressure wasnt very good either

Dog friendly

Room clean and comfy. Staff where welcoming and friendly. Our dog was welcome.

Had to pay a extra $20 for our dog and $50 deposit which was refunded as soon as we left. That was a surprise on top of paying in full online. If your on a budget and have a dog please be aware so you dont get caught out. Apart from this extra suprise cost we where super happy with our stay.

Photos are deceiving. Bedlinnen had stains in them. Mattresses were old and not comfortable. You could feel the base. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor resembling urine and feces.

Location

Hair in the shower and in the bed sheets. Pillows were horrible, either hard as a rock or as thin as a pancake. Also weird vibes, they put us in a room, after we had just finished unpacking they came and told us we had to move because they had put us in the wrong room… the place needs renovation, it didn’t feel clean

It was very spacious for our whole familles, which were 4 adults, 1 child and 1 dog to stay. We had a restful night.

I liked the owner of the property who was very dog friendly. The facility wasn’t really fancy but it contained everything that I expected. The location was close enough to walk to CBD, therefore we had opportunity to have dinner in restaurant.

They didn’t have night lamp which wasn’t really convenient.

Needs updating. Rundown paint peeling off kitchen doors. You could see where doors had been patched after being broken. Floor needed replacing. Shower very dark . spa and pool broken.

We did not have breakfast. The motel was fairly close to the Latter-day Saint Temple. We appreciated that. It was close to PakNSave. It was easy for us to find.

Easy weekend away. Has everything you need.

Was upgraded from studio to 1brdm nice surprise. Room itself has everything you need for a weekend stay. Wifi, Aircon, sky tv, full bathroom, kitchen lounge and spare room, parking right outside room. Close to shops, public transport, local activities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping were attentive and easy to get help with as well. Basic set up but awesome for the price and weekend.

We don't have breakfast. They asked bond of $50.00. They said in their policy this $50.00 will be refunded in cash mmediately upon check out Sorry to say the person in charge when we checked out today don't know how to process my refund. Needed to call tomorrow to talk to the manager to sort out my refund. First time I experienced this situation. Yes, most of the hotels asked bond, but they see to it once you checked out they back the refund into your card. No good.

I should put in here the statement above Sorry. The only advantage is just near our venue of family celebration we had yesterday.

We got the family room which was very spacious and well designed. Overall the stay was comfortable.

Location

It was dirty. I went and bought cleaning products to give the room a wipe down. The door handles were grubby, the next curtains on the main door had holes in them. All the window frames and skirting boards needed to be cleaned. One of the single bed in our room had a visible large dip in it where the springs had gone.

Good Motel,great service and Very Nice People

Traveled to the North island from the bottom of the South Island. Was perfect to relax after a 9 hour day driving from New Plymouth to Hamilton the long way due to severe flooding, with 8yo son in tow :) pizzas, relax and "despicable me 4" was great and were both very happy next morning after silent sleep Host was very nice and helpful,helped me with no issues or ask to much Thanks so much :) Kind regards Sasha

Lovely staff, but motel a bit tired. Guess you get what you pay for!

The staff were friendly and helpful. I was happy that I could have my dog with me. The location was convenient and central. Adequate facilities provided. Despite the property being on a busy road, could not hear any traffic noise from the room.

Lino floor. The room was in need of refurb although could see that some steps had been taken to do this - new heat pump, new fridge. However, the shower is old fashioned (although adequate), bathroom sink stained, net curtains could do with replacing, air in water pipes in kitchen.

Some old furniture needs to be replace, couch needs deep cleaning smelt of BO, headboard on bed needs deep cleaning smelt of BO, curtains needs to be washed now and again fix up, Internet keeps on dieing in & out join our stay, very frustrating. When wishing the towel use a scented detergent.. so the towels can smell nice on arrival for their guests. Outside needs attention all the money they make a year, can fix up the pool and spa and the grounds to make it welcoming.
