Lovely “mother-in-law” section of the house. Separate entrance, and separated from the main house by a garage. Loads of room, including s sitting area, a table with umbrella out front, and a table with a view on the deck out back. Continental breakfast items provided were more than enough for us. Even has a washing machine m though we didn’t need it.
Nothing we didn’t like. It’s outside the main town center, but that adds to its peaceful nature. It is about a 15-20 min walk to the Main Street and all the restaurants.

Beautifully appointed unit with all amenities including washing machine. Roger is a gentleman - a true host - friendly, knowledgeable & communicative. Bottled water, condiments, toast, cereal & yoghurt, fresh milk & OJ in unit. Magnificent views over river trail from your own private balcony. A true haven for relaxation & a property that is truly worth saying ‘we will be back’. Thank you Roger for ensuring our stay was memorable. Steve & Desirée

Location was good not too far from the town centre and a short drive too the velodrome breakfast was simple and filling jam butter milk and juice having Netflix was a bonus.

We really appreciated having access to continental breakfast supplies in our room. It meant we could have breakfast and get out to explore as early as suited us. The supplies were good quality and generous.
We had a car and the location gave us easy access to nearby scenic drives and Hobbiton. Cambridge is lovely and had good restaurant options.

We appreciated the fact that the furniture and bathroom fittings are of high quality. The bed was really comfortable and had a proper duvet, the first we have come across in our travels. The shower was really powerful with both drench and ordinary heads. The large bath towels were a bonus. There was plenty of crockery and glassware.
The USB point on bedside lamp is an excellent idea and I loved the clock!
Nice views across countryside.
However, we feel the accommodation could be improved and have provided some comments below in the spirit of constructive criticism in the hope that future guests can benefit.
We feel the bathroom should have a separate bin.
The kitchenette is in our view, inadequate. It is just a bench with a Microwave and chopping board. We would expect a kitchenette to contain a sink, but the only means of washing dishes was with the washing up bowl provided, filled up from the basin in the en-suite. We could only use this if it was balanced on top of the washing machine, or on the floor and there was nowhere to leave the dishes to drain. We found this quite bizarre and it could be addressed by re-modelling the ‘kitchenette’ to include a small sink. We feel a portable stovetop would also be useful.
The outside chairs and table are at the front of the accommodation. The patio at the back is empty and accessible only by going outside the front door, walking down the side and up a few steps – this was not practical for us. It could be made into a more usable space if the back window were to be replaced with bifold doors or similar and it would then be a real asset.
If it wasn't for the reasons above, the property would have been given a higher rating

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was spacious and well equipped. The breakfast supplies were very generous. The owners were very helpful.

It's an absolute gem. The owners are super nice, the room was super clean, there was a beautiful view, and everything was cozy and comfy. Breakfast was basic, but we had enough of everything, so I cannot complain. Overall, we were really happy and would stay there again!
As a savoury breakfast fan, I would welcome a bit of cheese or ham, but that is a very minor issue, as the shops are pretty close. It's definitely not worth a fuss.

The hosts were so lovely!
The room is private, tranquil, comfortable, clean and has everything you need.
Highly recommend and hoping to stay there again next time we're in Cambridge.
Thanks so much :-)

Great location. Great host. Great breakfast food provided and more than enough. Having a kitchenette sink would be better rather than just using the bathroom sink.
A kitchenette sink would be useful.

Lovely, well appointed room only 5 min drive from downtown, but feels like you are in the country as views of fields and very peaceful. Really appreciated all of the small things provided such as milk, bread, cereal, etc.

The room was bright and well furnished and had everything I needed. Very comfortable bed and armchairs too. The shower was large and the soap provided has the loveliest scent. Wifi was good and a modern TV so I could do everything I wanted.

Very nice and well appointed room, obviously a lot of care had been taken to make it comfortable for guests.
While this wasn't consequential at all for my stay, it does always feel a little strange when the room backs on to the main residential house of the proprietor. I'd urge people to overlook this if it meets requirements in every other respect because it is a great room and they've taken a lot of care to make it excellent for those staying.
