Home from home with superb hosts who treat their guests more like family than paying customers.

We stayed at Karapiro Willows in February 2020 and said then we would not hesitate to return. This trip we stayed there on our first night on arrival in NZ and again on our last 2 nights before leaving. Robynn and Vince are great hosts who give their guests a very warm welcome and ensure they want for nothing. The accommodation is very comfortable a clean, and breakfast is excellent set in a dining area with a beautiful view over their garden and beyond.

A beautiful stay near Cambridge with marvelous hosts.

A beautiful B & B in a perfect location to enjoy hour long day trips to many North Island landmarks. If boating and lake life are your interests, it’s perfect. Robyn and Vince are great hosts, and provide a great breakfast in a beautiful setting. A great stay!

Water pressure is amazing, but if you’re not careful, you can over-do it and spray water all over the bathroom.

A perfect hideaway

One of the best BnB experiences I've ever had. Great balance of a host that provided a lovely breakfast and local advice, but the accommodation is it's own wing so there was plenty of privacy. Well located, it felt like you were in a rural retreat but only 10 mins from Cambridge. We used it was a base to get to Waitomo and Hobbiton which was easily done. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

No notes, our only regret is that we didnt stay longer.

Lovely private, beautifully presented wing of rooms, perfect for our group of 6.

Booked three rooms, all very well presented and private, each with their own en suite and kitchenette. Was great having a private access felt like your very own space. Communication friendly and easy, very accommodating hosts.

Robyn was very communicative and made sure that my stay was comfortable

I stayed in the Tree top studio, which was perfect for me as I could come and go without feeling like I was waking up or disturbing other guests - I would definitely recommend and stay here again as it was perfect location to Lake Karapiro as I was there for my sons Rowing regatta

Only a Small little thing was it had a kitchenette but not much utensils or cookware but this is a minor thing as I improvised for the small stay I was there for

Beautiful rural location

Beautiful rural location, only 5 minutes from Cambridge. We stayed in the ruby room which is at the end of the hallway, and I would recommend this as it was away from any noise. Awesome shower, comfortable bed and lovely hosts.

We booked this accommodation for its proximity to Lake Karapiro. The dam road was closed so instead of 3 min drive it took 15 minutes. Disappointed this wasn’t noted in the accommodation details as it had been closed since August (no mention of when it will open).

A perfect place to stay for those visiting Hobbiton.

An absolutely lovely and perfect stay for an overnight visit to Hobbiton. Room was lovely, private (and away from the main part of the house), comfortable, with all the amenities one would need (the milk in the fridge for tea was so thoughtful, too). Beds was comfortable, shower/bathroom was clean and very room. Parking was convenient, too. Robyn was a fantastic host, cooked a great breakfast, and provided us with excellent shopping recommendations nearby. Would absolutely recommend and if we're ever stopping back in the area, we'll absolutely stay again.

Very well maintained room and garden. Nice size bathroom and shower. Most excellent hot breakfast. Very nice hosts.

Not much noise suppression between occupied rooms such that even quiet conversations are heard next door. No microwave in the room.
