Andirivieni Bellagio Guest House

The breakfast was good the room was very comfortable, the whole guest house was kept very clean.

Bellagio has a very big problem regarding taxi sercvice, you don't find a taxi before 7pm for short distances.

The Andirivieni is a beautiful little gem, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main centre’s streets and squares - in what feels like a a residential area of the town… this was perfect for us as it was peaceful and quiet at night (when a restful night’s sleep is needed after long, hot days exploring!) and the hillside location offered a majestic view of the lake on the terrace where breakfast is served and comfortable sun loungers and chairs are arranged (we were also lucky enough to have a little view of the lake from our room!) Some people may find the (very) short walk to the centre a little hard due to some small inclines (on the way back)… but we loved it! It was 15 minutes at most to get to the top of the famous steps in town and whilst it’s definitely a warm walk in the summer, we were happy to get a few steps in to burn off the gelato, the Aperol Spritz, the pasta, the pizza, the limoncello….etc!! Come on guys… it’s Bellagio! You’re surrounded by beautiful hills and views, a short summer stroll isn’t going to hurt! Or if it is, grab an Uber and stop moaning about the location (remember that view I mentioned?!) The amenities such as the honesty fridge with chilled drinks (offered at reasonable prices), the sun terrace with plenty of seating/loungers and the kindness and hospitality of the staff were superb. The room was very spacious, clean, airy and bright with the right amount of furniture for a hotel room and we had a lovely balcony/terrace which offered a little view of the lake.

Although the rooms had air-conditioning units (which could be left on throughout the day with ease) the temperature was preset and couldn’t be adjusted to make the room cooler than about 25 degrees - even for just a short 20-minute burst after a hot and tiring day exploring - this was my partner’s biggest ‘gripe’ with our stay… we never really felt cooled down by the air-con which was definitely a bit of a bummer during this hot August season! The bed was spacious but a little too firm for our own personal taste (this is, of course, an opinion-based comment) We were a little disappointed to find that we couldn’t park in the spaces outside the Andirivieni during our stay (due to a residents-only rule across August in Bellagio) We had travelled from the UK in a campervan and the parking availability at the guesthouse was a huge reason as to why we opted for this particular accommodation… Again, it wasn’t hugely problematic as Irene carefully explained numerous locations where we could park the van - and there is LOTS of free parking across Bellagio and Como in general which is brilliant!

This was a fabulous guest house, pristine , lovely rooms, great location , gorgeous breakfast views and plentiful breakfast. THE most helpful staff - so kind, helpful and informative. Emailed us and helped us with advice for the best route to the location- left us a picnic breakfast when we had to leave very early to make our travel connection. Thank you .

Nothing not to like.

very clean. we are in February and the room is warm. coffee and fruits at breakfast

walls are too thin so we hear the other visitors. breakfast is having only cheap products with industrial bread, croissant with a lot of sugar quickly warmed but not enough they were sticky. ham is cheap ham as well for cheese. this is a Italian region with good food quality. therefore this hotel should provide better food for breakfast. instead of proposing industrial Corn Flakes this hotel should propose various healthy grains
