I enjoyed my time on Lake Como and staying at the Residences La Limonera met all my expectations.

A very good hotel in need of price transparency

It is a very nice place, clean and well maintained; it offers everything that the administration promised plus a nice garden and a location closed to restaurants, shops and ferry.

1) I did not like the hidden part of the price (30 euros) that refers to “cleaning”, which was not mentioned before the payment was made. When we enter in a contract to rent a room, as a buyer, I need to know exactly how much will cost what I agree to buy. Therefore all costs should be detailed before the transaction and payment, not after. It is impossible for me to understand what “cleaning” means when I rent a room for one night. We all presume that hotel rooms are cleaned after each tenant and before another one gets in, and some hotels provide cleaning every day even if I rented the room for a longer period of time. There are other costs, namely “10%VAT” and “Service Fee” that increase considerably the price of the one night rent of the room. The administration needs to be more transparent with the price advertised and not to charge more than that. 2) I also disliked the pressure that I felt to arrive at the hotel before 6PM because I had to give up on an attraction to arrive on time. Apparently the rush was led by the need to collect the “city tax” of a few Euros and the fear that we may leave without paying it. Why would anyone not pay a few Euros after paying so much for the room? Since the payment included three extra fees, why doesn’t the administration include the “city tax” too?

Great location, spotless accommodation, helpful host

Wow! The location is incredible. Within 50 metres of the front gate there is a great choice of food, and an incredible gelato shop directly opposite the gate. Incredibly handy if it is raining. From the waterfront you can take stairs that take you a few metres from the front gate. If you don’t feel like taking stairs, there are two road options. If you take the one that goes up past the church, there are places to sit and rest, and cafes along the way. Loved the grounds that provided respite and put some space between the tourists and the accommodation. Anna is a great host. Thank you Anna

We could not have asked for a better location. The gardens were lovely and we had an amazing view from our balcony. And as an added advantage the property has a lift!! Daniela was very helpful x

We had a very enjoyable stay in Bellagio and Lake Como, great food and great sceneries.

Location was very central, right in the middle of old town Bellagio. I liked that the property has a very large courtyard, with chairs and tables where we had our group drinks and meals. The apartment was very clean and fairly spacious.

We had to carry our luggages from the boat pier to the residence up a very steep 200 meters cobble stones alley which leads directly to the residence (according to Google map). We should have been told that there is another easier, slightly longer way where it is less steep and we can roll our luggages along the road.

Bellagio is wonderful. I am sure the hotel and grounds are amazing without rain

The room was nice, the bed comfortable and nice shops and restaurants very close by.

The property is on a hill and we didn’t know enough to keep walking to the street where we could roll our luggage up. Google sent us up about 1000 cobblestone stairs. Note: confirm how to “roll up to the hotel”. We love Bellagio, but it was the first time we had been here in the rain and cold.

Literally in the centre of everything!

Stunning ground level apartment that has a private garden and access to an undercover terrace. It is situated right in centre of shopping area. It is a short walk down to the lake via many side streets. The apartment is surrounded by restaurants, gelato and shopping. Dani is an amazing host and we will be back!

A little oasis in the heart of Bellagio! This place was absolutely wonderful – a true hidden gem right in the center of Bellagio. The rooms were beautiful, with a small kitchen and an amazing view of the lake. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We received all the necessary information in advance, which made arrival very easy and stress-free. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bellagio!

Very good, everyone recognised the place when we mentioned where we were staying.

Location was the best! They managed to combine being on a main tourist street and being shielded by reasonably large garden. Almost every time we were entering the property people looked at us as if we were some kind of celebrities.

Quiet property in the heart of Bellagio.

The property was in the heart of the town but set back from the thoroughfare so was quiet and secure. The apartment was clean, spacious and reasonably well equipped and the few sachets of tea and coffee that were left for us were appreciated. When we met the owners, they were very friendly and provided helpful information. Bellagio provides boat access to many other towns around the lake. The town is attractive, has some good restaurants and some interesting places to visit.

The apartment is in a restricted traffic area with no parking at the premises apart from loading and unloading. It is accessible via a very narrow road and parking in the town is limited so you are likely to have to park some distance away and free parking is limited. The apartment was pleasant but somewhat rustic and would benefit from modernisation, particularly the shower. Top ups of tea/coffee would be a bonus. Bellagio is quaint so very popular with tourists; we went in May and it was already extremely busy.
