The location is beautifull on top of Bellagio. You have a ver nice view over Lake Como and can reach Bellagio easily by food via the stairs. ( Not suited for People with restriction of motion). There is a parkinglot and a nice garden to chill in. The personal was very friendly and flexible on the Check-In.

On the other hand the features of the apartment itself are very lackluster. First the Kitchen, the fridge is way to loud to be in a one room apartment. On one of the Cupoard a door is loose. There are way to few dishes. The Dining table is very small. Second the house is very badly soundproofed. Third the bathroom, although it had every equipment you need, it wasn't looking clean and was bit moldy.

Sweet place but tiring to reach and very cold in early Oct!

The host was so lovely and very easy to get in touch with! He was very flexible with check in times which was extra appreciated as we got stuck in the national train strikes which switched up our plans completely. He welcomed us to the property really nicely and gave us recommendations. The view is sweet and the area felt peaceful and bellagio as a base works great for reaching other areas.

For us, the location was harder to reach than expected (understandably not through the fault of the host). We knew there would be steps but had underestimated how many and how uncomfortable they are to walk up after a long day as they are cobbled and slanted. In general they’re okay, but with even one carry on case as a couple of under 30s, we struggled coming up and almost dreaded the walk back to the accommodation each night. It also has parts that aren’t well lit so we would have to use our phone torches (it generally felt safe but the dark is always a bit spooky in a new place!). Our other main issue was that the room felt extremely cold to us. The host kindly explained that central heating isn’t allowed in the region until Oct 15th (we stayed here early October) and provided an extra blanket but we really struggled at night with the temperature. As the floors are all tiled, they were very cold on our feet, and we weren’t made aware of the lack of heating so had not packed appropriate warm clothing for the night. If there had been a space heater, I think our stay would have been much much more enjoyable. It would also have been helpful if the host explained that we should close the shutters outside the windows at night to avoid being woken up by the sheer curtains. Might be common knowledge in Italy but didn’t cross our minds as tourists! In hindsight, I don’t think getting a room with a view is as important for a trip to lake como as your days are naturally filled with stunning views everywhere you walk in the towns. If you’re okay with taking on the steps and pack warmer than we did, it’s can be a lovely place to stay though!

No air conditioning Loud dogs underneath and next door. Often woken up by hours of barking. Kitchen sponge was gross, water boiler for tea was very dirty inside, kitchen cabinets had an odd smell. Not enough toilet paper and minimal shampoo/body wash provided.

This was our 3rd time in Casa La Rosa and we really liked the stay :) Cozy, comfortable, clean, very well priced, a bit away from the center of Bellagio, but this is ok for us.

Fantastic! It is what we were looking for with being close to the town with a great view

Marco and his brother were fantastic- he picked us up at the bottom of the hill by the bus stop and drove us up to the house (it is very hilly) for both check in and check out, and the view from the bedroom was beautiful - and the shared balcony view was amazing. The bed was comfy. The location was alright- you need to be able to walk uphill for about 15 minutes but if you are fit, it isn't bad.

Could possibly do with a some scissors in the kitchen but other than that, it was perfectly fine as we ate out every meal.

Good option if you want peace and you have a car

The house is spacious, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen has the basic utensils needed (but we only spent one night there so we didn't cook), the garden is super nice and the surroundings have a beautiful view. Marco is super friendly and helpful.

For those who don't have a car, the location couldn't be worse. It's only 900 meters away from the center, but all of it is made up of stairs and steep climbs that reach a height difference of 76 meters (equivalent to a 25-story building). There are no taxis in the city (in fact, not even in Como, which is bigger). Take insect repellent, as mosquitoes are frequent due to the green area. To sleep, we use a fan because it's not too hot at night, but I think air conditioning is necessary in the summer.

This isn't really a negative. The place is pretty basic, but has everything you need for a short stay and is a great value in a great location with a beautiful view for Bellagio. I imagine the view was even better in one of the upstairs apartments (I was on ground floor). I did wish there were screens so I could open the windows for fresh air without worry of mosquitos / bugs.

Clean and convenient property with views and helpful hosts!

Spacious, clean, proximity to town center was incredible but enjoyed staying in a quieter area. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment if needed. Marco and Andrea were incredible hosts and even helped us navigate the ferries and other places we wished to go.

If you don’t handle AC well, this may not be for you. Personally, I had no trouble as the apartment windows open and a fan was provided for additional comfort. When weather was cool, there were no issues with the temperature but could get hot.

The property had a beautiful view, it was an easy walk into town (a bit harder up the stairs on the way back but nothing we couldn’t handle). Superb

We had a lovely stay in Bellagio. Only wish we could have stayed longer! The apartment is spacious and has beautiful views, which we were able to enjoy from the garden. The bed was very comfortable and the area quiet, so we slept very well.

Although it is not a long distance into the centre of Bellagio, we were not anticipating walking so much. Thankfully the host was kind enough to collect us from the ferry on the day we arrived.

Peaceful

Location is away from the main, busy part of town. Thankfully, this means it's very quiet and peaceful. You have gorgeous lake views out of both sides of the home. The unit was clean and the host was responsive and spoke excellent English. It was also among the more affordable options for staying in Bellagio.

It was OK for us, but there are a LOT of cobblestone stairs and a long cobblestone path to get to the house. The walk definitely deterred us from going back and forth to the accommodations too much. It's quite a hassle if you're hauling luggage. The home was equipped with just the very basics - 2x tea bags, 2x instant coffee, 2x towels, 2x toilet paper. We found it didn't offer as many supplies or amenities as other holiday homes we've rented in the past, but it didn't affect our enjoyment at all.

Whilst the location was not an issue for us, the house was located at the top of the hill and a walk into Bellagio itself involves waking down a considerable amount of steps. This can present difficulties to less agile people.

Superb

The apartment was clean, spacious (exceeded our expectations), had comfortable bed and relatively good equiped kitchen. The location uphill and the garden with a nice view are just a bonus. (the photo was taken just before reaching the location, within a 3 min. walk).

The shower door could not be closed but this was not a major inconvenience for us. It was also a bit noisy as we had the ground floor apartment and could hear all the moves from the upper floor. The way from the ferry to the accommodation might be challenging for people travelling without cars and with suitcases as there are many stairs to climb uphill so I highly recommend the place for those who travel only with a backpack (like us). In the end the view is worth it and the walk there can be seen as a good workout to compensate eating all the pizza, pasta and gelato! 🙂

it was up a hill, but the views from the apartments were amazing which totally made up for the walk, there is also a nice view point for photos up the hill too. the accommodation was clean and really nice, good shower for heat and power, beds were comfy. the owner was so accommodating for us all and made sure we were completely happy with all 3 apartments.
