Lovely, comfortable, great location

Devecchi Rooms has a perfect central location. The day before we arrived, I received a message giving detailed directions on how to find the property. We had one of the three rooms -- it was beautifully decorated and spacious. It has a partial sea view. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet in spite of the fact that it is located in a fairly busy walking area. The property even has a small elevator so we didn't have to lug our suitcases up stairs. The young lady (Matea) looking after us was very friendly and welcoming. She provided us with breakfast that included a variety of options. This is a good choice for anyone visiting Hvar.

The only thing is that we stayed two nights and the rooms was not freshened or cleaned the second day. It wasn't a problem for us, however.

Perfect for our stay in Hvar.

Location was fabulous, close to everything we wanted. Our host Matea was great to communicate with, giving very clear instructions on how to check in, directions to avoid steps with luggage etc. Staff onsite were also lovely and friendly. Our room was very clean with comfortable bed etc. Continental Breakfast was well stocked, and we highly recommend the scrambled eggs. We loved our stay, and would definitely book here again.

Heavenly Hvar

As accommodation goes, this is a little gem !! Our room was really large with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a massive bathroom. We were on the third floor with a big balcony overlooking the harbour where we happily watched the comings and goings of people, and, of course, of boats of every size. The room was spotlessly clean and included all the necessities you would want, even beach towels. Everything was just perfect, right down to the rectangle of bathroom floor tiles that would bring the houses of Pompeii to mind. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, with fresh fruit and meats & cheese and lots more... all delicious. The staff that we met were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The location of the apartment is also perfect, being very close to the ferry terminal and and a short walk to all the sites of Hvar town, which is truly gorgeous. It is also within easy reach of a beach to swim from and there are plenty of restaurants & bars nearby. We would strongly recommend booking the DeVichii Rooms if you visit Hvar.

Wanted to like it but had a terrible experience.

Location was great, just a few steps from the waterfront and all the activity there.

There was a horrible rotten smell, like a dead rat or something like that, in the room throughout the stay. Turning the air conditioner off, despite that being uncomfortable, didn’t help. The host acknowledged the smell but couldn’t accommodate us in a different room as all other rooms were taken. Keeping the windows open, while dealing with the street noise, was the only way to survive in the room. Terrible experience unfortunately.

Excellent staff, spacious and comfortable in room in a great location.

Great location, very close to where the ferry arrives. Staff were exceptional: we were able to check in early, gave us some great travel tips, really friendly with a delicious breakfast including cooked eggs and plenty of coffees. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet.

Excellent room and host, smack in the center of Hvar.

Large and comfortable room and bathroom. The host was outstanding, and always with a smile! Great location in the center of Hvar. Very adequate breakfast, considering that it is a very small place. A good addition is the lift!

Price was somewhat high, but being Hvar, I guess it is the market price.

A good location but could do with a few tweaks to make it better value for money.

Good location and Mattea provided us with some locals tips. The breakfast was nice. Good coffee shop downstairs!

The extra bed was too small for our two kids, not really a two person bed. The bathroom drain was blocked with other people’s hair (sorry!). There were no blankets.

The lady who worked/lived at the property and attended to us was very kind. She tried to help us as best she could and we appreciated her efforts.

Great Stay in a Modern, Well-Located Room

The property was in a perfect location, and the room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean — it had such a calm, relaxing vibe. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. Both Hvar and the room were absolutely amazing.

Great little property which is well maintained and good location!

A small property with beautifully maintained facilities and the location is so convenient. Walking distance to everything you need in Hvar. The property manager Matea was lovely and friendly and very accomodating. She even helped organise a boat trip for us.

Great location, warm and inviting host.

The property was in a great position and we were given detailed info as to how to get to the apartment to avoid carrying our luggage up steps. The bed was comfy, breakfast was really nice and varied selection, Mateja is a friendly and warm host. She even helped me take our luggage back to the port! Hopefully we will “ see you later” 😀

A Comfortable & Beautiful Stay

These rooms are as pictured! So spacious and clean. The room is just what my friend and I wanted. The breakfast was also very lovely and had a good range of savoury and sweet options. Mateja was an incredible host, we were sad to leave her company and was also SO helpful. Locations is also fantastic. Not too far from the main square but also on a quieter street with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. This place only has a couple other rooms too, so you will not be disturbed by others guests. This is a must stay place when visiting Hvar. Thank you Tena & Mateja!

FABULOUS

Amazing, we loved it. Perfect Location with amazing view over the harbour, the apartment was specious, spotless, comfy bed and big clean bathroom with excellent shower. The view from the balcony was amazing, enjoyed having my coffee there every morning. We had instructions how to get there before arrival, which made it really easy to get there. Breakfast was lovely and delicious. Mateja our host was lovely and very helpful, we had a problem with WiFi that she was able to help us and fixed it. 10/10 for this apartment. I would highly recommend it.

Amazing sea view in the middle of town

Location Location! Premium location and super friendly Marija made us feel at home. This is like staying in a friends townhouse. 3rd floor room has a spectacular view with private balcony. Right in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant hosts with high quality rooms.

The staff were just lovely, so helpful and kind, and the room was gorgeous. The bed was perfect- we slept so well. Great air conditioning, which was critical with temperatures reaching the high 30s! We will definitely stay here when we come again!
