Enjoyable experience.

The staff were exceptional. They were very knowledgeable of the trails we were cycling. The rooms were very comfortable. Clean towels every day. There was storage and charging for your bikes and a cleaning station which was really good. Would definitely stay again.

Good location for the cycle trail.

The location was absolutely great for our needs.

As we stepped into the room there was an overwhelming smell of bleach. This didn’t seem to dissipate throughout the evening. The cleaning was not of a good standard as we found, and had to ignore, plenty of crumbs, shells and other detritus between the sofa ‘pads’. A bizarre situation with a washing up bowl that was rectangular and of a regular size and a round small size sink… just awkward! Plug sockets sitting just above the sink probably wouldn’t pass a safety inspection… or maybe they would… someone must check? Not enough pillows, although the sheets were spotlessly clean. Wi-Fi good but no charging usb which would be useful in 2026. The gate we were told closed at 1am, a little late. That should have been the clue. Very noisy arrivals at 11.50pm, slamming off van doors, shouting, crashing, banging and swearing which finally settled down. Fire alarm at 4.53am which sounded as if it was next door. Clearly a broken night’s sleep.

the power outlets in our unit were all opposite the bed making it troublesome to charge devices, and no tables to put them on. Communication with the staff was a bit awkward, he looked lack of patience so we had to keep our request simple and in one go. Not getting good vibe staying here.

Very clean and tidy rooms. The motel is very well maintained and close to the main street in Kaikohe. Off street parking is good. The manager was very approachable at all times and was accommodating when needing to access the storage room for our e bikes at the beginning and end of each day we stayed. The motel is very close to the mid point for each direction of the Twin Coast cycle trail to either Opua or Horeke.

Something to consider by the property though not that significant, put a mirror outside of the toilet and hanger

I have stayed here more than a couple of times, and this was the busiest i have ever seen it.

Location is close to town, would recommend the Kaikohe bakehouse for meals or baked goods. Located around 100 metres away on the main street. You also have New World around the same distance on the opposite street if you prefer to buy your own meals.

No bad experiences as of yet.

A comfortable stay with friendly motelier and staff.

Ideally located. Great shower, comfortable bed, lots of power outlets, loved the soap dispensers in the bathroom. Great communication with motelier.

Would have liked more pillows. Only one pillow each. If pillows were thicker would have been ok. Our neighbour's were loud having consumed alcohol but I managed to get a reasonable sleep.

The bed was comfortable and the unit was spacious

We have just stayed at Twin Coast Adventures for a couple of nights. The room was comfortable with all the amenities we needed. Tina organised a shuttle at the end of each day, and changed our pick time after we got really cold in Kawakawa after biking all morning in the rain. Shane jump started our car after an interior light had been left on all day. They were helpful, fair priced as were the shuttles. We would certainly stay with them again! Thanks for such a lovely stay.
