Room was clean, had mostly all amenities. Bed was super comfy. Close to town. Beautiful scenery of the Haruru Falls. Would stay again!

Would not be staying again

Quiet location, 10 minutes from town. The falls were the main attraction there.

The rooms were not cleaned properly, the bed was old and sinking. The cooker was dirty, we washed all the plates and cutlery before using. The bathroom and kitchen floor both had rising water coming through from underground, so we had to mop the floors every hour to stop the water from being slippery. Windows had not been cleaned either. Old cutlery horrible to use.

Beautiful location but disappointed with incorrect booking details on arrival

We really liked the location as it was right on the banks of the Waitangi River with a beautiful view of Haruru Falls, and was only a 5 minute drive into Paihia and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Although we didn't use it they had a lovely swimming pool and there were kayaks for hire. It was good having BBQ facilities available however we feel these need to be upgraded.

The most disappointing thing was that on our arrival we discovered that they only had one room booked for us not the 2 as requested and confirmed (there were 4 of us travelling together that's why we had booked 2 rooms). We had also requested that these rooms be next to each other if possible and had received a reply that "this has been added to your booking notes and will be ready for your arrival". While the staff were obviously embarrassed as it was their mistake not Bookings.com and very apologetic it was an inconvenience we weren't expecting. They did find us another room for that night - the only spare one they had available but with no hot water, then moved us into a different room the second night. We were just thankful we arrived while the office was still open - we hadn't reconfirmed our reservation with them as we had received a notification a few days earlier with instructions if we arrived after hours, so assumed everything was okay and have never had any problems booking through Bookings.com.

Rooms need an update

Pool facilities and outlook onto Haruru Falls.

No air conditioning, limited fan provision further limited by short power cords and power point positioning, rooms got very hot. No screens on most windows so leaving windows open let bugs and mosquitos in. Cobwebs and dust throughout. Very disappointing stay. Toaster barely worked.

Highly recommend this stay, family friendly and excellent location. Staff were warm and friendly.

The best part was the bed - very comfy. The room was acceptable for the price, the pool was a nice addition and the location was decent

Unfortunately there were many black hairs around the room (on bedding and in shower etc) and given that my partner and myself are both blonde, this is always a sign of a poorly cleaned room and is always the first thing we notice. Other than this, there was a group on the second day of our stay playing loud music around the pool from an early time in the morning. I understand this was not directly the fault of the motel although it is the responsibility of the motel staff to regulate noise and this was super frustrating as I was trying to sleep and my room was right near the pool

The swings facing the waterfall was a great view. The pool was so enjoyable, i spent most my day in there until i got sunburnt even. Worth it though.

There were some questionable stains around but nothing too disruptive or the likes. Some outlets seemed faulty, the light outside didn't seem to work. The lock to the bathroom needed harsh pushing to actually work.

Cosy, warm & relaxing.

I loved the location! We came on the perfect weekend. So sunny and could not wait to explore the grounds. Felt very safe especially knowing there were lovely families staying around us. Wifi & TV facilities were perfect for our late nights. So nice, quiet and a cozy accommodation.

Very nice location and accessible. The staff I met were friendly. The accommodation was very clean, as was the public showers.

Amazing hidden gem in Paihia

The staff were amazing! Such beautiful kind people who really make you feel like family. The pool was great! The kitchen and bathrro/shower blocks were great, clean and well equipped. We definately will be back An amazing facility with fantastic views of the falls

Aweful I would not go there again, not even for camping.

The Queen bed was very soft, but super hot, great for a honeymoon couple. But we were 2 Male friends wanting 2 twin beds, and a good night sleep. We did not get that. Communal kitchen was clean, but we never paid for communal.

Shared Bathrooms are normally fine, but not when you have to walk out side across gravel in the cold to get to it. And it is disgustly dirty with no toilet paper. We bought 2 twin rooms with shared bathroom. No mention of them being cabins with shared use of an ablution block, and kitchen. We got 1 Queen Cabin and 1 Twin Cabin with no bathroom attached to either. We complained on site and were told to pay more to get a motel room. Staff did not even try to help. Staff could not speak english. Toilet/shower block was disgusting, 1 toilet had toilet paper until the person before was finished, then there was no toilet paper. Is was gross. walking across the gravel driveway to get to the toilets in the middle of the night was not fun.

Loved the grounds. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing. It was beautiful sitting out on the riverside in the swing chairs. The Haruru frame was pretty cool too. Very tidy grounds. Kitchen was very well stocked, took awhile to find the tea towels and dish cloths. The little oven was easy to use. Milk was in a cute little glass bottle.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The king-size bed had 2 different mattresses on it, and one felt older than the other. It also made a lot of squeeking noises everytime you moved. The springs sounded very old. There were about 3-4 cockroaches in the bathroom. The drawers smelt old and musty. TV couldn't be seen from the king-size bed. Felt like dust fleas on the carpet. No face cloths with the bathroom linen, just towels and hand towels.

What i loved about this place was...The atmosphere it's such a perfect choice if u r traveling with a family.The views from our family room terrace 'PRICELESS' just gorgeous on a sunny day..😍😍 The kids loved the pool...free wifi and binge watching there fave programs in between activities.. This place is warm and inviting the STAFF ARE LOVELY.. EMILY IS AMAZING.😇 My husband says he loved this place because it was peaceful,relaxing ,comfortable and spacious.. He rekons try the shower it'll blast your hair off😆🤣💛 I can't wait to come back.

Location to Kerikeri

Was supposed to have a bath, did not. Cutlery and frying pan had dried food on them very unclean. Shower had rubbish from last occupancy. No milk in fridge and a small heater not big enough to heat room.
