Our stay was excellent and this B&B was in a great location to explore the Bay of Island.

Breakfast and location were excellent. Close to Paihia. Room had an excellent view from room and balcony. The host was welcoming and provided a lot of information of the area.

Mike, the host is amazing. He is VERY informative and does a beautiful breakfast. The views are amazing. The spa is amazing. The bed is so comfortable. Room seviced daily. Basic kithenette, microwave, kettle etc. Honestly can not fault. We will highly recommend.

Did not dislike anything, But to note: Not wheelchair friendly. Not parked by room, so it's a walk trekking luggage. Smokers need to go to the front of the property. (Our issue,.. not Mikes). But vapers ok to puff out the back by rooms.

Peaceful Escape

A Perfect Romantic Getaway 🌿✨ Baywaterviews Bed & Breakfast was everything we hoped when we booked it. The views were absolutely stunning. We booked it for a romantic getaway and ended up spending most of our time right at the BnB soaking in the private hot tub. It felt like our own little slice of paradise. Communication was seamless and friendly from start to finish—warm, professional, and helpful. It was also incredibly easy to get anywhere from the location, but honestly, we were so happy just being there that we didn’t venture far. This place is a gem. Can’t recommend it enough—we’ll absolutely be back! 💛

A superb spot and a real pleasure to stay here.

Amazing views of the bay, the whole property was neat and extremely well kept. Facilities were clean and well presented. The breakfasts were superb. The host was very generous with his sharing of what there was to see and do in the area, with a detailed map and links to websites. It was quiet and private, yet only a five minute drive away from the township. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Be aware that the property is on a slope do you will have to negotiate some steps. Not too difficult though.

Mike is a great host with a detailed knowledge of the Bay. Cooked a very tasty breakfast on the spot. A quiet street with a brilliant view (but I knew that having lived further along the same street once) Couldn’t ask for more for a Bay Stay.

Lovely area, home and host.

Our month-long trip could not have started off better. Mike was very communicative, helpful and answered all of our questions. He provides heaps of information on the area. Breakfast was filling and yummy. He’s very attentive to his guests.

Only thing I can think of is the room was a bit warm but it cooled off at night with the fan provided.

Absolute perfection!

Mike and Wookie were the perfect hosts with the perfect home! We were so lucky we had the chance to stay with them and only wish we had more time. The space is fabulous, well equipped and very clean. The hot tub with the view made it so memorable. And having morning breakfast with Mike’s delicious food and Wookie keeping us company made us feel at home. If you’re lucky enough to snag an apartment here book it!

Location fantastic! View from the balcony, magnificent! Room large and very comfy. The Stressless chairs enabled several memorable naps over the 3 days we were there!!!! Location great for exploring local area and so much to do and see. Mike is a great host and a font of so much knowledge about the area. Good breakfast and excellent chats over breakfast, very relaxed and informal. Excellent value for money.

Breakfast was wonderful and the views from the dining room outstanding. We loved the garden and using the jacuzzi. Everything was just so perfect and Mike went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fabulous.

The view is stunning but the heart of everything is the lovely host Mike whose character is reflected in all the nice details such as the wonderful breakfast, the beautiful plant lights in the evening and his commitment to give everything for his guests. Mike gives great tips where to go and is a very helpfulness person in general which makes you feel at home.

Perfect retreat with a hot tub and views

Mike is an amazing host and the property is peaceful, private and just what we needed. The hot tub was especially nice to return to in the evenings!! We loved staying here and would definitely come back.

The water in Paihia is hard (mineral rich). Still drinkable, and not limited to baywaterviews - we experienced it everywhere we went in the bay of islands.

An amazing property with a fantastic view of the Bay of Islands, wow. The room is spacious and well equipped with a comfortable King or bigger bed. Breakfast is a fantastic treat with fresh fruit and if you want, cooked breakfast as well. Done to your liking as you sit, absolutely fantastic. Mike also tells you some of the best info on the area with the best places and beaches to visit.

Beautiful scenery from our room overlooking the bays. Breakfast was superb. Sat out on our balcony where breakfast was served. The room was serviced every day. Everything spotlessly clean. Will definitely go back again. Can't recommend this enough.

We were greeted and shown to our room by the friendly owner. The room was beautifully presented and surprising large. It was on par with an exclusive hotel room. It was a very comfortable space. Breakfast was included. This was a full continental and cooked breakfast. It was beautifully presented and very tasty.
