Quiet & relaxing space

It was a beautiful quiet relaxing space.

No fault of the place and totally on me. I was given a choice between being by the pool or being by the main house. We picked the main house room which was lovely but if you want to be able to quickly see if the spa is empty and free then pick the rooms by the pool.

Watch out for the ducks...

Lovely resort, with good size accommodation and good facilities, including hot tub and natural spring pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing advice on the local sights and places to eat and drink. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

The road to the resort needs repairs which the owner is trying to do. With a little care it's not a problem.

A hidden gem

It was tucked away from the main road but very close to the shopping centre. It had amazing facilities. It was tastefully decorated and had everything you could ever need. It was a tranquil spot. We loved it. The owner was very helpful and friendly.A

Exceptional host Brad, enchanting retreat, the most comfortable cottage, 8 stars!

Our host, Brad, was so so helpful! We arrived on our daughter's sailboat, and we didn't realize how far away from Avalon we were. We tried to get a taxi from the Kerikeri Boat Club, but couldn't. I called Brad and he came right out, driving 20 minutes to come and pick us up, and then he dropped us at the fabulous restaurant right across from the Stone Store in The Basin. Then he came back and drove us to Avalon. After our stay he drove us back to the boat club again. Above and beyond our expectations! AND, Avalon is amazing! It is a little paradise, with pools, a river, beautiful statuary, gardens. And the cottage was so very comfortable!

Ok, but not the magical haven I was expecting

Quiet.Away from the main road, but very central. The natural spring pool was refreshing.

It was a nice stay overall, however the whole place felt a little tired. I imagine the up keep on a place this big is challenging.It just needs a bit of TLC to bring it back to being gorgeous. The natural spring pool is quite small - the photos make it seem a lot bigger than it is. However, it was very pleasant.

Tropical oasis retreat

Lovely , big and clean room with stove and microwave cooking facilities set in lush gardens. There is a hot tub, sauna and small pool to use with a large communal terrace . Also laundry facilities.

Had to request a couple of items as they had not been refilled/changed before we checked in. Ie. Handwash in bathroom, fly spray in kitchen. No flannels in bathroom. These are only small things which didn't hinder our stay but something for staff to be aware of in the future.

The unit was beautiful, shady and private. There was a lovely little outdoors sitting area where we had breakfast. It was very hot overnight but the air conditioning kept us comfortable.

I would really recommend this, especially for anyone wanting to retreat and relax.

It was a fabulous sanctuary, offering a sauna and natural spring-fed pool. We didn't use either of these but it was so beautiful and peaceful just being there. And a short walk down to the river. The whole area is really well maintained by a team of people. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Kerikeri.

The road to get to it is in need of a bit of attention, but it was drivable in our hired outlander.

Top notch accommodation, setting & host! 👌

A hidden treasure with the most beautiful setting of well maintained picturesque gardens. Our cottage was so adorable, spacious & well equipped with outdoor area - all we needed & more!! Added bonus for this accommodation was the kindest and generous owner & host, Brad. We attended a wedding and he offered to take us there and when we were a bit stuck for a ride back he offered to pick us up! I had been recovering from post op surgery and was hesitant to use bridal transport arrangements but Brads generous manner both on the phone in person was so kind! Thank you. 🙏We hope to return with our kids and family to make full use of all the facilities! Highly recommend this amazing accommodation and gracious welcoming host! I can see why it is popular for family and friends gatherings!! ✨✨✨✨✨

Very beautiful location, Customer service was awesome, pool area looked amazing but we didnt have time to jump in unfortunately, it was a short stay for us in kerikeri, the cabin was cute and warm, beds were awesome, was nice and quiet,

Cabin Earth. Even tho everything was beautiful, the kitchen and bathroom in our cabin was dusty. Bath tub needs a good clean, same with the kitchen,for the price I do expect a clean standard, i would book again and make sure to communicate a clean before check in and also try a different room😁location was stunning other then the cleaning issue loved the cabin.

Picturesque setting

The gorgeous gardens, the setting generally, was just so serene. Room was very clean & well equipped. I must get one of those toasters for home!

The people in the next room were quite heavy on their feet. I was trying to go to sleep and could hear them clearly through the wall. It was also easy to miss the entrance up on Kerikeri Road.

Great relaxation stay

I absolutely enjoyed my stay in this place, very clean, spacious room, nice comfy king bed, bonus I have private balcony which is great for relaxing, facilities are good, the spa is the best! The spa is clean and ready for the guest to use.. also they have sauna you just have to book from the reception.. Beautiful gardens around the place and quite you can definitely enjoy the serenity. Also the staff let me check in early and very helpful
