Very interesting and beautiful room. Great shower and hot water. Too cold and rainy to enjoy our outside chairs! Shuttle from off-site parking was easy. We took the Ape tuk-tuk tour the hotel recommended and were very pleased. In addition to the city your, Donata took us to the regional park across from the city so we could see the natural caves.
Our room could have used some chairs in the open area, and a coat rack or hooks. Small things!

Beautifully done hotel! First class breakfast! Wonderful staff! Great location for living/staying around the Sassi. They gave good directions in an impossible 3-D area!!! If you arrive late, I would suggest parking with the custom drop off so you don’t meander in the stairs.

Absolutely everything about this hotel was wonderful. The owner and her team was marvellous. They made sure we were very well taken care of during our stay. Above and beyond, they explained to us so much about Sassi culture, heritage and historical events. They also guided us to places we should visit to understand Sassi living better.
Not to mention the view in front of our room, it was stunning both at night and in the day. Breakfast was also wonderful. Staff at the bistro ensured our breakfast needs were all fulfilled to their best ability.
Though it’s our first time to Matera and we happen to choose this hotel, we have absolutely no regrets and it was our luck to have gotten to enjoy such a beautiful hotel, met the wonderful team and we will only stay in this hotel when we next return. We had one of our best holidays ever.

Great location with panoramic view of the Sassi with excellent service. Relatively easy access going by taxi or private transfer. Unique experience in the cave rooms which are clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a great view.
