Loved staying in an authentic cave setting that was also very comfortably updated!! The residence reception and breakfast area had been a cave church. Our walking tour actually stopped in front of the entrance because of its significance. We stayed in the room that had a Turkish bath attached. Staff were very welcoming, offering us coffee as we waited for our room because we were early.

Would go back in a heartbeat! Unique accomadation, spacious , luxurious, relaxing and quiet. The staff are amazing, attentive and went above and beyond to help. Assisted with booking taxi and tours. Got some laundry done too. Well appointed breakfast. It was right in the heart of the sassi, such a special place
Nothing I loved everything and wanted to stay

Amazing experience in the heart of unique Sasso in Matera in a cave appartment made in what was originally an abandoned medieval chapel. Spacious, full of light, nocely decorated with great spa area and a private pool in tye basement. Great selection of wines in the room offer and drinks in the mini bar. Great breakfast on the nearby piazzetta. Very friendly manager and staff. If you want to spoil yourself with something extraordinary, this is it. The Sassi and all the landmarks are walking distance. Plenty of restaurants around.
All was genuinely perfect. The only thing is that in the other bedroom there seemed to be a bit of an issue with humidity control
