A beautiful and tranquil escape

Amazing place nestled in the middle of nature, very peaceful with an incredible setting. The sunrise view was absolutely stunning.

Location and view are exceptional. However swimming or snorkeling is not possible due to waves smashing to the rocks.

Customer service is non-existent, cleaning is poor on the balcony and for 3 days never in the room. No coffee or tea bags but a kettle is provided.

Perfect for waking up with ocean sound.

The view is stunning! Feel like a dream which you wake up with the beautiful sunrise and the sound of the ocean. And there is the beautiful viewpoint you shouldn't miss! You can just sit and enjoy the beautiful blue ocean all day.

The location is quite far from the center, so it’s not very convenient to get around. However, you can book a taxi for about 350–500 baht per trip. The Wi-Fi and phone signal are also unstable, so this is definitely more of a place for relaxing — perfect for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway and some healing time.

Lovely snorkeling spot with authentic Thai hut and friendly staff

It’s got a unique view and the snorkelling is lovely on the bottom of the stairs Airconditioning worked. Staff were friendly

It’s really completely basic, we stayed in one of the ones on the top. Shower was tiepid at best, it’s quite dark inside and not much space but sitting on the porch is nice. Good if you want quiet. Access with the scooters is okay otherwise quite remote

Perfect location for peace and quiet yet required Improvement.

The view from the room was absolutely Incredible and breath taking view atop a cliff also the astatic was very appealing and it's definitely a fit for couples who like their peace and quiet away from everything and to connect to each other its your spot.

The walkway to the room is highly dangerous and unpaved especially during the night with no lights to see the way you are going, the room looks not as maintained with rusty hinges and doors who are difficult to close, inside the room we met with bugs and flys especially in the shower area many pests gathered but also on our bed and It was really anxious to always check wherever you were for bugs, other than that we were showed there was a restaurant in the area but there was not,also the shower had a problem with the hot water you need slow stream for hot water, the taxi phone number we received from them didn't answer us for the entire stay and over all a huge disappointment.

Will stay again it was magical

Beautiful view, really quite and safe. I was happy to be away from thr busier part of the island.

The didn’t serve food when I was there so I had to motorbike into town every day for food. I would recommend hiring a bike if you’re going to stay here.

Peaceful secluded lodge

Beautiful view, felt very in nature and undisturbed by the chaos of the centre. You can hear the sea and feel at one. The staff were very kind and helpful and the pancakes were delicious!

It would be good to install anti repellent for bugs. Of course we are in nature but it meant after 6pm we had to sit inside. I think this is the perfect location for people who are really looking for some isolation and a break from the centre but if you are young then please bare in mind you will have to get a taxi or get comfortable with driving a bike to and from the location which is very daunting if you don’t have experience. Otherwise, if peace and quiet is what you want then perfect. Just make sure to bring water and food as it’s quite far from local restaurants.

Best Bungalow on Tao with amazing views

The view is amazing. They have wooden stairs in the rocks to climb down to the ocean. There is a snorkeling spot with lot's of fish and corals. The bungalow itself is quality, great balcony with hammock. The host is very polite and helpful with organizing trips or just having a good conversation. I stayed for 3 weeks at Moondance Magic. There is no better deal regarding quality and price to find on Koh Tao. Towels, fridge, shower soap included. I hope I can come back to this place :) thank you Chana and best regards!

the staff were very poor and didn’t really know what they were doing when faced with a predicament. it was quite far away from anything and the staff used this to their advantage by charging more for taxi service than what was advertised

Quite nice to have some time on you own!

I really enjoyed staying there. At first you are a little surprised cause it is literally at the end of the Island and quite off of everything else. But it is also nicely located within nature which makes it really nice. If you cannot rent a motorbike, the hosts will drive you around for 300BHT, which is quite convenient.

Great, secluded location with awesome views (catch the sunrise at least once if you can). Super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is nourishing. Th ac and fridge are incomparably quiet for Thailand (: excellent value for money overall.

Breakfasts and other offered food were tasty and in a location with an amazing view. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to nature. I had the feeling like I was living in a jungle. Rocky beach and all the resort were beautiful, neat and clean.

Transport was not easy and quite overpriced. The place is quite secluded. There was many empty bungalows but all the incomers vere stacked in the same area, so there was not much privacy.

The bungalow was very nice and the views were amazing

The location is the reason why the beautiful views are not NOT WORTH IT here. It is completely remote, up a hill with slopes. Indeed, we had to access our bungalow through long and steep stairs (and it took like 10 min to go from reception/breakfast to the bungalow). I’d would like to mention that we are active, adventurous people, but it would be too uncomfortable and annoying to stay more than one night here. We had to pay extra in order to get rides and all in all it got too pricy.

Beautiful view and location but you need to climb!

The locations is beautiful. Top view on the sea. the resort is divided between a low part where the restaurant is located (amazing view and terrace) and top on the hill where the bungalows are located. Friendly staff. bungalows are basic, Clean. Basic thai breakfast (different menus)

Between the restaurant/reception you need to climb a lot. For 2 days it’s ok, for much days it depends on you. the bungalows are really on the slopes. You need to rent a motorbike for sure to reach the village and the beaches. unfortunately on the windows there are not curtains….so if you like to sleep on the darkness, it’s not for you. the glasses are darkend but in the morning the light is strong!
