I loved my stay in this resort. The view from our room was a postal card. The design of this hotel and the attention to details impressed me. I love to see that the people who built this place put passion is their project. And the result is definitely worth it! The only cons is that, as the hotel is spreading on top of a hill, you have to climb a bunch of stairs to move around. But I guess that’s the cost for having those views. The staff is nice, the facilities and the food too. I loved that they have a little library where you can work conveniently with the best view ever.

Very Disappointing Stay - Beautiful Diving Center, Poor Hotel Experience Unfortunately, our stay at Jamahkiri was very disappointing. 1. Room Arrangement Ignored More than a month before our arrival, we specifically requested two separate beds. Despite receiving this request well in advance, we arrived to find only one bed in the room. What was most frustrating was not the mistake itself, but the complete lack of effort to resolve it. The room was large enough to easily accommodate a small bed or sofa bed, yet the hotel staff made no meaningful attempt to find a solution. 2. Extremely Isolated Location The hotel is located in a very isolated area of Koh Tao. If you want to visit any other part of the island for dinner, drinks, shopping, or simply to walk around, you have little choice but to use a taxi. The round-trip cost is approximately 900 THB (about USD 25) each time, which quickly adds up. 3. No Evening Facilities Apart from the hotel's restaurant, there are essentially no facilities open in the evening. If you want a drink, some nightlife, or simply a stroll outside the resort, you need to leave the property and pay for transportation. This issue could be easily improved. The hotel could offer a more frequent shuttle service or subsidized transportation. Currently, the shuttle operates only three times per day at times that are not particularly useful for guests wishing to go out in the evening. I noticed that many previous guests have raised the same transportation concerns in their reviews, yet management appears to have done nothing to address them. Overall Based on our experience, I would rate Jamahkiri as a 2-star hotel. It is clearly among the worst hotel experiences I have had in more than 20 trips to Thailand. The one bright spot was the diving center, which is operated independently from the hotel. The diving team was excellent, professional, friendly, and highly recommended.
