We wanted to extend our stay in Koh Tao and came across this hotel after being unable to extend at our previous one. Honestly I wish we’d stayed here the entire time! The hotel is almost brand new. The rooms are so lovely, modern, spacious & clean. The bungalows are so well built, we’ve stayed in ones previously and been bitten to death by mosquitos but not here! The beds were huge and comfortable, we had a great night’s sleep. Good AC, breakfast was tasty. Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. A short walk to the main walking street with plenty of restaurants/minimart nearby, and the onsite restaurant/bar is really cool and had live music the nights we were staying there.

We loved our stay at Coco Valley.
The staff are brilliant and accommodated us in whatever way needed.
We rented a great quality moped from the hotel and unfortunately suffered a puncture but Harry Victor and another staff member met us on the road, gave us another moped, and took the other for repair for a small fee.
The rooms are beautiful and very clean.
Highly recommend this stay!

I wanted to like this more than I did. It was cute — I loved the private cabanas however, I had two consistent issues. One: the water. Every time I showered, went to the restroom, or washed hands, the water smelled of sewage. There was yellow stains in the shower area from the water and one day, the sink stopped draining which showed all the yellow water coming from the faucet and pooling in the sink.
The other thing: the bugs. The cabanas haven’t been sprayed or treated for pests. I had to regularly check my bed for bugs (spiders, ants, etc) everyone I came into the room or woke up.
On two occasions, something brown/purple fell from the ceiling (ply wood, I think?) and landed on the bed. It kinda looked like fecal matter of something from the ceiling but I have no idea what it was or where it came from. Maybe there was a lizard or something up there? I don’t know.
These two things made it uncomfortable, however, it was quiet and away from the noise of the clubs and bars which is nice.
Also, it’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or injuries. The property is on hilly land and is required to move up and down hills to even get to the front desk (which is the quickest way — there are no phones in the room to contact the front desk) or get on and off the property.
