Cave Rooms Sassi

The location was fantastic! It was within walking distance (about 15-20 min) from the bus or train station. It was in the middle of the Sassi with nearby restaurants and cave churches etc…The manager, Nuncio, met us, as arranged, in the piazza and led us to the property and was very friendly and gave us a mini tour as we walked. We liked it so much we extended our stay.

We liked everything about it.

The atmosphere

Besutiful place with a lot of room. Very comfortable bed! Nunzio was a great host.

A little hard to find , there was no signs.

Our location was great and allowed us to visit the city at ease.

1. Communication with our host over WhatsApp was great. However, upon arrival, the instructions were unclear and finding our room was difficult. 2. The room was not really as advertised. It was small, and also very humid. Fortunately, we had the heater on, otherwise we would have been freezing. 3. As it's expected when you stay in a cave, it won't be luxurious. However, the room could really do with some improvements. Our bed sheets were changed but were stained (pillow cases especially) 4. Surroundings were noisy (especially on the Friday evening) where we could hear loud music above us. 5. Overall, the experience was more or less okay. But we found it too expensive for the quality we received. Also plan to bring your own toilet paper as we were given one roll for two people for two full days. And a tourist tax in cash (not cards...)
