Authentic and memorable

Absolutely wonderful stay! Balabani Local Stay in Podgorica was perfect in every way. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed with attention to every detail. The location is convenient — peaceful yet close to everything you need. I especially loved the cozy atmosphere and the genuine local touch that made my stay feel authentic and memorable

That there was no fridge as it was hot could have been helpful to keep our drinks cold, however there is a fridge in outside and ice was provided.

The internet doesn't work well at all. We would have been happy if there was a small refrigerator in the room. Booking states that payment can be made by credit card, but instead they said that only cash is allowed.

Lovely local stay

Very friendly staff! Absolutely service-minded. They serve the best breakfast I’ve had on the trip! Expect local charm and non standardised accommodation, but very comfortable.

would come back again! we were absolutely charmed with the hosting family and place's tranquility!

A charming family runs the place: we were met by Tiana, her husband, and their sweet little daughter. In the morning, their mother made us the tastiest coffee, and their father offered figs from the trees on the property. Also, we had to leave early but changed our plan and stayed there an extra hour, as it was so cozy and tranquil: swings in the green grass yard, a big wooden table under the vineyard trees, a picturesque dog, and a funny little kitten playing with us. The apartment itself was clean and had 2 sleeping places on 2 floors (we sleep separately with my better half). Everything was clean and tidy. Would come back again!

pay attention that the place's location mentioned on Booking.com is not correct, you need to find it on Google Maps (just type the name of the place and you will find it) and drive following the showed directions. our apartment was right in front of the breakfast table outside, and the distance between our entrance door and a table was 1 meter, so you can hear all that's happening while other guests having their meal. but the price of staying is fair enough for these inconveniences anyway

Great authentic and welcoming stay

Owner was so friendly. We organised airport pick up and drop off with him. So accommodating to us and our children and the breakfast was fabulous!! We wish we could have seen more and others really rated it 😊

I left the place with warm heart, full of impressions. Place is definitely worth staying

I missed my plane, had to find an urgent accommodation being with a cat, and the place turned to be so wonderful that I totally forgot about unpleasant events brought me here. I stayed in cottage and in bungalow - both are very stylish and comfortable (cottage is fully equipped with everything needed, bungalow has outdoor shower and toilet, but the view from the bungalow is really worth seeing). Owners are wonderful family, educated, tactful, interesting multilingual people who thoughtfully create the perfect atmosphere so the guests can both enjoy privacy or join the company of other travellers. I got help with all the issues. It’s nice seeing someone putting so much soul in their business, and I know this place will always prosper.

This place is amazing. The family that runs it are wonderful. They live on a farm and are excited to show you the property. Our kids loved seeing and feeding the animals, and playing with the host’s kids. The hosts suggested a great local swimming spot ten minutes away, it made for a perfect day. The food was also delicious, made with ingredients grown right there.

Great stay and lovely hosts

Great hosts and the property is clean and great spot to do some cycling and water activities near lake skardar. The hosts even gave us a private full day tour (at reasonable prices) with cycling and canoeing and showed us a great spot to eat the best grilled fish you will ever have in your life for cheap.

Balabani Local Stay ist eine hervorragende Unterkunft! Ohne Luxus und Schick-schnack. Aber familiär und sehr autentisch. Ich habe bei der Anreise in Wien den Anschlussflug nach Podgorica verpasst und kam erst um Mitternacht an. Der Gastgeber Mladen hat mich persönlich am Flughafen abgeholt. Hier wird echte Gastfreundschaft gelebt! Die Gastgeberfamilie tat alles um unseren Aufenthalt schön zu machen. Sie bereiteten uns herrliche Mahlzeiten mit lokalen Köstlichkeiten aus eigener Produktion zu. Wir tranken von ihrem selbst angebauten Wein usw. Der Gastgeber hat uns Tips für Ausflüge gegeben und organisiert und hat mit uns eine kleine Wanderung zu einer Aussichtspunkt gamecht. Wunderbar! Ich kann Balabani Local Stay ohne Einschränkung empfehlen!

Nur ein kleines Minus: Eine Lampe auf dem Nachttisch beim Bett wäre super!

Schöne Unterkunft in der Natur

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber die uns fast um Mitternacht mit einer gekühlten Wassermelone empfangen haben. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Klimaanlage lief schon als wir ankamen. Die Unterkunft ist umgeben von einem wunderschönen, großen Garten. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Schlafzimmer war separat oben unter dem Dach, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Klimaanlage war auch vorhanden, die man selbst einstellen konnte. Frühstück und Abendessen vorzüglich. Unbehandeltes Gemüse und Obst aus dem eigenem Garten. Toll
