Disappointing.
Exceptional friendly breakfast staff and the breakfast itself.
The room is very small. The TV looks like it comes from a time warp machine. The mosquito netting on the windows was torn, the old timber shutters wouldn't close properly.so they were no't able to shut out the noise or light. The bathroom is tiny. The very small fridge next to the bed is noisy at night, as is the air con. .Even a timber strip on a corner of the walk was just hanging Obviously not much maintenance if any being carried out these days,, it's a hotel resting on its laurels of being the first in Virpazar. The owners forte is selling boat trips on the lake....and in his own way is very good at it to guests and those who pass by his hotel by car or by foot. Our three hr trip was in a big loud slow boat with a noisy inboard motor. The captain did point out a pelican. Overall rather boring except for the beautiful early morning reflections due to no wind. We didn't complain about the room as I know others have in the past and we would only be wasting our time

Delightful, charming
This is just the nicest traditional place, at the very entrance of Virpazar (Virpazar is very small, so you're anyway never far from places, but this is literally on the doorstep off the bus as well as most departure points for lake tours). The place is a local legend - its original owners were the people who started tourism in Virpazar. Excellent breakfast, lovely service and attentive staff who are happy to provide you with hints & tips about local activities, especially those a bit off the beaten path. The wifi was also quite good (not that I particularly needed it, but a nice plus). The rooms are quite basic but with all the amenities (including AC and a fridge, a massive bonus).
It does get warm in the summer so if you want to keep cool the rec is to keep the wooden shutters closed when the sun is on that side.

Very good value for money
Convenient location and really helpful friendly staff ( until he found out I’d book a boat trip with GYG! He had lots to say!) breakfast included and proper duvets on the bed. Mosquito screens.
Without curtains I had to use the shutters to keep out the light but this reduced circulation. There was an AC unit but I couldn’t get it to work. Operator issues most likely!

Virpazar is worth visiting
Most of the trip to this hotel was ok but we had sell the Skatdar Lake boat tour on arrival. He started at 100 Euros each and ended up at 50’butbthen there was 5 Euro add on tax. Probably better getting a joint trip not private. Then I went to big hotel only to find front door was locked at 11.15pm and I had no key!

Nice staff (though quite intrusive), comfortable position
The staff was very friendly, they did their best to welcome us and helped to organize a trip on the lake. Breakfast was fine.
At the entrance of the (very small) village, we were surrounded by people organizing a trip on the lake: one of them was our host, proposing quite a high price. It was a place intended to rip off tourists. Also, we had to wait 15 minutes to pay with a credit card instead of cash (not a problem of this structure only, but of whole Montenegro)

It was good
Well situated, clean and tidy hotel. kind personnel They were kind enough to get us a baby cot.
I found the fact of being pushed to book for a boat ride inappropriate.

If you are desperate to stay 2min walking from your boat trip - this place may be ok hence comfort
Location. The brakfast was simple, little choice but good. Wellcome drink and a small check out gift. The staff is doing their best, service was OK. The host is offering the boat trips. Aircon in the room was very silent and powerfull enough (remember it is only a tiny room)
Room is very small, the beds were average. The sink in the bathroom is record breaking small - do you want to shave or wash your face? Don't even try - will flood the full hotel. Shaving light over the mirror was not working. The light in the bathroom was "last century" illumescensick - push the button and have a smoke before the light goes on. TV set was like stolen from the museum - very "classic" but with remote control so not so old :) At the check in the host had the prints from booking.com with 54,02EUR but asked to pay 70EUR - I felt he wants to rip me off, hope I am wrong and that was only a mistake...

very strange owner/manager
Hotel is located in the center of the village Virpazar. Beds were comfy, air condition was working well, taxi transfer to the airport arranged by the hotel worked fine.
The behavior of the hotel's owner was really strange and misleading. He was trying to get 10/10 review of his buisnesses (hotel/restaurant/boat tours) by forcing us to publish the positive reviews. When he realized that we booked our lake boat tour with another compay via booking.com he told us that the boat tour for his hotel guests is for free (which is not true cause we've been asking hotel after our reservation via booking.com app what would be the price of the cruise and they've written us it would be 15 eur per person). We had an early check out and we've asekd if we can get a take away breakfast, the owner confirmed that it would be prepared for us. We got no breakfast and the crew of the restaurant pretended they don't understand us when we were asking for the breakfast in the morning.
