Central and still surprisingly calm - amazing!

I wish I had discovered this place earlier. The rooms look exactly as on the pictures. Everything was clean and functional, including the hot water shower. To my surprise, the place is absolutely quiet despite being located so close to Ubud‘s busy center. This is because there are many buildings in-between the rooms and the street, so you don’t hear any traffic. I was in a different place in Ubud before and it was horrible with all the motorcycles rushing by in the night. I thought it’s normal and I have to put up with it in Ubud, but D‘Jero proved me wrong. Here, I got a central yet peaceful place room for a reasonable price!

One of my favourite properties that I stayed in

Really clean room with very friendly staff who let us check in really late. Rooms look exactly like the pictures and the bed was really cosy. Also the balcony was really cute. One of my favourite places I’ve stayed. The site is a really nice traditional Balinese house which was really nice to stay in

There’s construction but the actual works weren’t loud they were just playing music that you could slightly hear (didn’t wake us up so wasn’t that loud). It didn’t affect us at all just mentioning it as a heads up.

worthed to stay in even for long term

It was so nice that we stayed one more night. Its a bit complicated in some ways because the rooms are in the back part of the complex so if we order something we have to walk to the front but apart from that, its worthed and recommended for long stay. Its super clean, family super friendly and responsive in answering WAs

It was just an "ok" stay

The room was ok but a bit hot inside, I saw another room much nicer but also more expensive.

The bathroom had mould, also they don't clean or offer toilet paper. Even on my last day the staff seemed lazy to help with my suitcases.Quite noisy in the morning and yes there is construction all around.

Fantastic and accommodating owners, stunning room and a great stay - suskma

I loved the room - it was big, spacious, balcony with view to the jungle area, a desk and mirror space for working/taking calls. The WiFi was excellent and I am very grateful for how accommodating the owners were too. I ended up extending my stay another night without a problem.

There is construction going on in the area where this is located which can be off putting initially however when I read reviews about this I contacted the owners. They prepared a room for me that was away from the construction noise as much as possible and to be honest I couldn’t hear it at all. So I’m very grateful for how accommodating they were. Just a note to add - there is construction in most of Ubud it’s not something the owners can control. The fact they went above and beyond to make sure I had the best stay was amazing and truly appreciated

Good budget stay in Ubud, a few small changes could make it great

Great location, only 15 mins walk to the centre. The room we ended up in was big and nice enough. Good for the money.

We started in a room that smelt of mould, thankfully they moved us to a much nicer room. But they shouldn’t have anyone in that room until the problem is sorted. The place is surrounded by construction, we had to bring our bags through the work site and they got quite dirty. The towels were grey and looked unwashed.

The place was great, the staff were super helpful and let me extend twice without issues.

There was rats in the walls and the occasional cockroach. Besides that, the place was awesome and felt clean.

Very good value for the money, quiet and private.

Everything was very clean, and beds are comfortable. Free mineral water, coffee and tea.

The entrance is a bit confusing and the pathway often has big puddles. The bathroom was a bit worse than expected. This is not about the booking per se, but I ordered breakfast (it’s not included, had to pay) and it was simply awful. Fruits were all green, coffee was pure mud and the omelette was inedible. The only meal I threw away during my 14 days traveling through Indonesia.

Disappointed

The bed is comfortable

- The home stay is in a construction site, and it’s on the hill, not as close to the city center as it says on the website - The animals are noisy at night and early morning - The owners don’t communicate to each other properly, the husband took the money and the wife came asked for money again hours later (The owner also threatened us with the karma saying when they we explained to them we had paid the money, not nice at all) - No other service at the place

Staff were pleasant but beware of getting woken up in the middle of the night by dogs and children early in the morning.

The staff were very friendly and happy, it seemed like a family compound and everyone seemed welcoming.

Cars have to park on the pavement since no designated car park, also lots of stairs so beware if you have a lot of luggage. It’s also a family compound with not much sound proofing, if any, so if you’re a light sleeper like I am, you will probably get woken up by dogs barking throughout the night and little kids shouting in the morning

My room was unavailable so I didn't stay at the hotel. The hotel still owes me $30.50.

When I arrived on the evening of March 28, 2023, my room was occupied by another guest. The room was also exposed to noise from the central area. I therefore had to make another last-minute booking. The wife / co-owner of the property promised she would tell her husband to refund me, as he handled all the online bookings. They never did and I'm currently disputing the charge for the room - which they did not have ready for me - on my credit card.

Good

The family were very friendly and helpful. Good sized room with air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Good location, walking distance (approx 5-10 min) to cafes/restaurants/shops in Ubud centre.

When we arrived we had to ask for the bedding to be changed as the sheets were very badly stained. Cleaner sheets were put on the bed and we had no further issues during our stay!

Great location homestay near to Ubud with everything you need

We stayed there for over a week and everything was mostly great. Really great location within walking distance to the main street of Ubud. There are communal facilities which has multiple gas hobs and a fridge. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The single only negative and Im actually sorry to have to even say this but there are dogs in and around the facilities (I love dogs btw) but there is one small dog, not sure if it is anything to do with the owners of this homestay directly or not, but it barks quite frequently throughout the night and is super annoying if you’re a light sleeper.

Friendly stay close to centre

Staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable and a lot of hot water for the shower. 5-10min walk to the main street. Staff were able to help us with any requests we had.

Hard to find the exact location as it's hidden behind other guest houses with minimal signage. The bathroom is in the bedroom not separated by any walls (just glass) so it can make the whole room smell. There are a lot of dogs at the entrance for people that don't like dogs.

The friendliness and helpfullness of the hosts and the atmosphere of the place, which is very tipically balinese.

The common kitchen was really basic and not very inviting, it would have been nice if it would have been cleaned and if there would have a few more utensiles, plates, mugs, ... Somehow I also had the impression the room I booked was the bigger one, so be very careful when you book.

Nice, clean comfortable room. We rented a scooter from the owners. Nice balcony. U can walk into Ubud from here, nice cafes, and restaurants close by.

Steps up to the accomodation and slip road for the scooter was very slippery in the rain.
