Great homestay environment

It's walking distance to shops, some incredible restaurants 2 mins away, markets, the sweet orange walk and if you walk only 10-15mins you're in an even better rice field area away from the crowds. You are living in between local families, creating a warm atmosphere with kids playing outside. Good hot shower and aircon, many pillows!

Amazing

This is a fantastic place for rest and relaxation. The beautifully maintained garden makes the entire stay even more enjoyable. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable, with a large and lovely terrace where I had complete privacy. Everything is spotlessly clean, and special praise goes to the hosts for how much effort they put into making their guests’ stay pleasant. They are very kind and welcoming, the rooms are cleaned daily, and they offer breakfast which is served directly on the terrace — everything is truly top-level. For the price I paid, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. It is absolutely worth every penny — and even more. Highly recommended!

Great value option in a perfect location.

Perfect locations for visiting Ubud. Easy 10 min stroll to the centre with the Water Palace and temple. Lots of great restaurants. Set back away from the main road so it’s very quiet. Impeccably clean. Very easy check in and out.

The WiFi didn’t work which was annoying as a solo traveller I had planned to call home for a chat and had to use my data. Also the property only takes cash.

It feels just like being at home with your family

Everything was wonderful — the room was very clean, extremely spacious, and the balcony was wide as well. Unlike many other accommodations, there were absolutely no insects. The hosts are truly amazing, very kind and respectful people who genuinely care about the guests’ comfort and do their best to provide for us. The internet connection is good, and there is never any shortage of water, even hot water. There are several grocery shops, supermarkets, and ATMs nearby. There is absolutely no kind of disturbance here; on the contrary, complete comfort and all the necessary amenities are available. Thank you to the Ben family 🙏♥️

a hidden gem in central Ubud

We always appreciate staying in Ben’s Homestay, a hidden gem in central Ubud. the local family who runs the place is super cute, friendly and welcoming. this time we stayed in a family 2 story room, it was clean, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms and a lovely terrace. the place has a short cut to the rice fields walk, very comfy if you want to avoid central ubud street fuss. great value for money

An oasis in Ubud

The property was well located - walking distance to main district of Ubud , the palace and the rice fields. The manager was incredibly helpful with organising things to around the area.

Minor things like having to ask for toilet paper, no clean towels, bugs (cockroaches & ants), and the shower was clogged. Additionally, our toothbrushes were taken, and when we asked the owner, she denied taking them, but her son kindly bought us new ones. However, when we woke up in the morning our toothbrushes were left outside our room, which is strange and raises concerns about other things being taken from our room.. Felt a bit observed in general, and the owner would unexpectedly enter the room to turn the AC off (even if we left for a second), but nothing got cleaned/changed.

Wonderful

A very nice place, close to city center and to the rice fields walk, but lost in nature. The family is very nice. And the room as everything you need for 4 people. Good breakfast too. I will definitely come back here for another trip in Ubud.

Fantastic stay, I couldn’t recommend more.

Such a lovely stay the family were so lovely making you feel right at home; little things like when I left my clothes on the airing rack in the bathroom but came back to them having given us an additional rack for the balcony with clothes drying out in the sun were just great. The location was great only 5 mins from ubud palace and with loads of great restaurants along the road. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. I loved their breakfast every morning served up on our balcony 50k for fruit salad, tea/coffee and a delicious veg omelette on toast or a banana coconut pancake which was great. The room was very comfortable with four pillows, sheets, blankets and a mosquito net. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan worked perfectly.

The bathroom didn’t have soap.

A beautiful homestay in the town center

The homestay is in a traditional Balinese property surrounded by a lush garden full of flowers. The rooms are really nice, clean, functional and comfortable. The place is very quiet yet at a walking distance from the busy distance. Ben the owner makes all the difference, he is very helpful and knowledgeable, was able to recommend a wonderful place just 10min away for a beautiful breakfast on the rice fields, recommended places to visit around and things to do. I wish I could have stayed a few more days, the place is so relaxing

Ben’s Homestay is a place to feel home far away from home ☺️ They are a lovely family taking care of everything you need, not just in your room. Still, they help you how to navigate best in Bali with valuable tips and even transportation if needed. I finally extended my stay with them and enjoyed every day in Ubud. It’s walking distance from the centre and far enough to enjoy peace and nature in their beautiful Eden garden 🧚‍♂️ The rice fields are only 10 mins by walk, too - perfect location, clean property, delicious breakfast and complete care to feel yourself safe and happy even if it's your first time in Ubud or Bali. Recommendation

It’s a nice place to stay in Ubud, very close to the center, everything walkable. Hidden in the backyard so you can’t hear the noise from the street. Still you can hear the shows in the palace a bit. Ben and his family were really nice and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are big and you have everything you need.

Just the place to be Ben and his wife and other staff members knows what hospitality means. There place in UBUD is heaven, their garden and everything around is just incredible But the friendly way of talking and real interest was also what we enjoyed. All to please their guests.

experience not worth the money.

-the location was good, not too far from nature and not too far from restaurants and shops -good Wi-Fi (suitable for work)

-the room was dirty and needs renovation -the listing doesn't reflect the actual deal -the bathroom door was completely damaged -property is located among other residential properties- not so private -kids running around (pretty loud) -12 days stay and towels weren't changed even once -on the last 2 days I didn't even have any toilet paper on the day of check out (before the actual time of the check out) the staff entered the room where my bags and belongings still were and started the clean up for another guests. I wanted to refresh myself before leaving (as I still had another hour before the check out) but they already took all towels and bed sheets away. perhaps they had a reason for such behavior. I didn't like it and wouldn't come back. I booked based on good reviews but from the moment I arrived I was very concerned where the reviews come from.

family feeling homestay!

well located close to the Ubud palace , friendly family , clean , amazing few , can use swimming area from other place in same garden , garden is fantastic as the balcony , , next to the rice fields ,speak well English . definitely come back . a really nice lady calling coconuts and juices next door . please bye with her !! she is a beautiful person . As well an amazing juice and health breakfast place few houses from the homestay . Just the cherry on the cake , a nice massage place next door with good prices .

Best accomodation in Ubud, look no further!

Absolutely fabulous place. We've been travelling around SE Asia for almost 4 months now and haven't had better accomodation than Ben's Homestay. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The room is huge, with a lovely terrace in a beautiful garden and the staff, including Ben and his wife, are super friendly and helpful. Great location too! They also offer fantastic breakfast. Book this and you'll love it!

Central and quiet

Part of a family compound, in lovely gardens. lots long staying guests. Ben was a real character. The place has a back stairs access to the lane which takes you to Kageng Rice fields very quickly or if you turn left to the market lane up to main road which is a much more pleasant walk than Jl Suweta. one of the quietest places we stayed in.Good budget accommodation

We appreciated the spaciousness and the cleaness of the room. The homestay is within walking distance of everything. We enjoyed the bathtub, which is very rare in Asia. The team is very welcoming and accommodating.

A lovely small hotel located in the center of Ubud, close to all the tourist attractions. The well-kept garden makes you feel like you're in paradise. Incredibly clean. They cleaned very thoroughly every day. Every morning the breakfast was different and served with lots of love. You definitely get more than you pay for here. I highly recommend.
