The standard room. Was big enough and a lot more functional than the De-lux room.
The De-lux room. Water heater was not functioning at first in this room. It was okay after some attention. Breakfast offered some variety, but didn't have much taste. The best thing it offered was fruit.

The location was central and on a more quiet street. The family that owns the property is so kind and gracious. The room was basic, but had everything we needed. The on-site restaurant was good and offered a modest free breakfast each morning. The on-site spa was a treat and our family of four each had a massage every evening of our stay! They were helpful in arranging driver to our next hotel.
It was so hot out, would have been nice to have seating or loungers near the pool.

Wonderful.
Long walk down the lane from taxi drop off dragging heavy luggage when we first arrived. Wasn’t expecting that😂 Easy once we offloaded suitcases.

Friendly homestay. Great value. Nice and quiet. Lovely pool. Close to main road so easy to access transport. Lots of eating places nearby. I stay here regularly. Staff always so welcoming.
I can't think of anything really...I'm an early riser and breakfast doesn't start until 8...but it's a good time for a walk in the cool for a coffee, or visit to nearby morning markets.

The homestay is located in the center of Ubud which is really convenient. We had a problem with our AC and the staff was so nice and reactive even if it was 11pm.
The room is a not as luxurious as it seems on the pictures. It is still nice but not as confortable, especially the bathroom

Great homestay, in the perfect location - right in the action but still quiet. The staff/family are super welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble you just have to ask. The pool is nice and refreshing after a day in the heat. The room was perfect for our family of four - two really big beds, an outdoor seating area, small fridge, jug and little gas burner stove.
This isn’t a dislike, more something to be aware of when first arriving. The home stay is down a long narrow street that is packed with market stalls and shoppers. So if you’re getting a car, it’s best to warn the driver and probably easier to get dropped off at the end of the Main Street and walk yourself up the lane to the homestay.

Location is good if you don't mind walking past the rows of little stalls selling their stuff. Beautiful old Balinese compound with a small swimming pool and beautiful garden.
It does have a fridge and electric jug.
You also can fill up your water bottle.
Very quiet place.
Nice TV.
No good water pressure in the shower,
Pretty damp and a bit of that damp smell.
You have to walk there with your luggage as there are no cars allowed in the street.
Breakfast could be a bit better.

The location is prime. It's very centre of Ubud, yet, still quiet enough so that our group can enjoy peaceful time. The room is big and very clean. It is clean everyday we stayed there as well. Breakfast is simple but nice. Facilities are ok. The bed is huge (king size I guess) and the matress has very good quality (not too hard, not too soft, just right). Ubud is cool in the evening (July) so we do not use air conditional. Each room has a balcony with sofa, very nice to enjoy the view and asmostphere of a tradtional Balinese house (temple in the middle, compound with many plants).
There was no hot water in the first night when we arrived. They said there was no gas. The problem was fixed after 2 hours (at around 11 pm) so some people in our group had to take a cold shower so that they can go to sleep early (we arrived after a long day of travel so everybody expected a good, warm shower instead of cold one). No problem with hot water the following days though.

Great central location right in the heart of Ubud, where all the markets are, but it’s nice and quiet once you step into the Homestay. Close to the palace, temple, restaurants and rice fields. Spacious rooms, great breakfast, lovely pool, amazing staff and such a wonderful and warm family as hosts. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Location near to market and many good food joints. Smooth check. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Spacious room.
Clumsy and congested property. Insufficient room lighting. Was asked to pay to extra 3% for card payment, which is neither mentioned before over WhatsApp communication nor mentioned in booking.com listing. Had a really long and harsh argument for that.

Rumah Roda is not a fancy hotel but a comfortable place that will make you feel like living with the locals. Located in the heart of Ubud, on the main shopping street, once inside you do not hear anything of the hustle and bustle of the street vendors. The highlight for me was most definitely the staff that made it feel like a warm home and made me actually sad to be leaving. Banana pancakes for breakfast were a perfect start of my day. I will definitely be coming back.
Most drivers will not want to drive into the street as it is very narrow, this was not a problem for me as I only had a small suitcase and the 5min walk was rather nice. While you do not hear the noise from the street, you might hear a lot from neighboring rooms. I had to use my earplugs the first night but the remaining nights I was fine without them. The rooms are basic, they are old and at the first look may not seem particularly clean (they are clean), but frankly for the price, I did not expect anything else. If you want luxury, this is not the place for you.

The location is so close to the beautiful rice fields walk, but also close to the hustle and bustle of Ubud central. It was a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The room was great, the bed comfy and I like the fact that they had both air con and a ceiling fan. Some nights the fan was enough, some days/nights, the air con was a welcome relief. It was good to have our own little fridge too. The family that run this homestay are very friendly and welcoming and are happy to pass on their own history and knowledge of Balinese culture. The breakfast that was included was beautiful - fresh fruit, eggs your way or pancakes and a juice/coffee/tea. The pool was refreshing and the garden was well maintained.
The shower didn't have a lot of pressure and it took a long time to heat up, if at all. It was warm enough outside not to be a big issue, however.

Breakfast and Dining is a Wonderful experience. I was provided freshly pressed Orange juice; Now thats how personal I would like my vacation to be. Swimming pool is exclusive. Balcony Views are exclusive and relaxing. Comfortable Beds, for 3 of us. Above all the location is a Super plus. Close to the Palace and umpteen dining locations; but also a walk away to Rice fields. I just want to return again.
Staff are quite communicative. May be not as well integrated with Booking.com. But got my clarifications on time.

The location was very good, it was a narrow street with lot of small shops for souvenir, super market, money exchange, small restaurant, it is so narrow the car cannot come during the day. But there is parking lot 200m away. In 500m radius there is lot of restaurants all cuisines (Indian, Italian, Mexican, Indonesian) available. You can really experience the vibes of the town. Ubud palace, market and Saraswathi temple is 500m from the property.
The bathroom door was not working, when informed the concerns person, he said you Indians complain about this. This is not acceptable since door was not moving nothing Indian about it. The shower water pressure is too less (toilet flush pressure has more). The breakfast for vegetarian is very minimal only 1 fruit platter, 1 fruit juice and 1 slice of bread. They have 20 liter bubble top water in common areas.

The property is so stunning and you really feel the Bali culture here! The rooms are lovely too! Location is excellent if you want to be right near the centre, you walk out and all the markers are right there. However if you are looking to stay in a quieter part of Ubud, I would not recommend this as it can be quite chaotic outside the property (lots of bikes ect) but you cannot hear this at all when in the rooms itself :)
Nothing!

If you want to explore the Ubud Art Market, Ubud Palace and Jalan Monkey Forest, this location is steps away from it all. Even if you don't make it to the Ubud Art Market, the street itself is lined with stalls selling a variety of Bali souvenirs. The street is only busy in the day, becoming quiet around dinner time. In the night, you won't hear any traffic or other noise disturbances.
I love the daily breakfast - there were enough variety to choose from and it includes a plate of fresh fruit. The restaurant's menu was also quite good, so you can easily get lunch and dinner if you're lazy to head out or when it's raining heavily.
The room is spacious and there is daily housekeeping. The family and staff are all warm, friendly and quick to assist without being intrusive, which I appreciated very much.
The room I was in is an annex that's away from the main building. The room's main door faces a common pavilion and walkway. So whenever other guests walked by, I could hear them talking. Also (and this is a personal preference), the curtains are not blackout curtains so if you're sensitive to light, best to sleep with an eye shade.
There's a short flight of steps from the main road up to the homestay - not ideal if your luggage is heavy.

What a vibe this place is! Not only the perfect location but a warm welcome from the staff making you feel right at home from the get go. Pool was great, food was tasty, rooms had that Bali charm and location was in the heart of it all.
Cant really fault the place

I have returned many times to this friendly home stay accommodation. The family and staff are always very welcoming and helpful. It is close to the centre of Ubud and although located in a market street during the day, it is very quiet at night. It's always a most enjoyable place to be based when investigating Ubud.
No complaints.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants, Kajeng Rice Field, Ubud Palace, in the middle of local stalls selling local clothing, souvenirs and quiet once step into the home stay.
The beds are too soft, not used to it on first night and couldn't sleep well. Second and 3rd night okay cause used to it and may be too tired after lots of walking. Air-conditioning not cold enough during day time. Removed the net that cover the bed, then it's better. Room temperature becomes very cold mid night, woke up to turn the temperature higher and continue sleeping.

This place was AMAZING the family that live here are so friendly and accommodating, they gave us a welcome drink and took time to get to know us. The breakfast here was delightful and they would ask us each day if we needed the room cleaning etc. We had a family room and the beds were so big and comfy it didn’t feel like you were sharing. The A/C was also great and there was places to refill your drinking water! The family showed us the sunset from the roof and we learnt a lot about Balinese culture, The location was also right in the centre of Ubud so it was perfect to walk places :) The pool was also very clean and lovely!
The bathrooms may need a little love but it really didn’t matter to us as we had such a good time!

Very clean and confortable, with big soft beds and warm water in the showers. The staff was super nice and helped us out with a guided tour around Ubud for the day! The accommodation was placed central next to a very cute street with stores and restaurants.

The people working at Rumah Roda are the most welcoming I’ve experienced in Indonesia. They really try to make you feel welcome and at home during your stay. Couldn’t thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness.
Breakfast was lovely every morning. Also the location is great! Near Ubud artmarket and Ubud palace but also close to calm scenic view of ricepaddies.
Small but nice pool.
The bathroom was a bit smelly and the room had some cobwebs. But nothing crazy for Indonesian standards, in my opinion.

Very friendly family and helpful. Nice big rooms and I loved to have my own fridge!
The bathroom could have been cleaner and the waterpressure wasn’t great. Also there was a lot of dust on the mosquito net and the net could not close so no mosquitos were prevented.

Great central location, lovely friendly family and staff, beautiful garden and pool, wonderful to experience staying in a Balinese family compound, close to rice field walk and lots of earrings/restaurants, great view of Ubud from our room balcony
The shower didn’t have good pressure but I think this is because we were on the top floor of guests rooms

Fantastic location on a dead end road (less traffic), close to central Ubud and if you turn right out of the property, a beautiful walk into the rice fields. Lovely helpful staff and onsite pool and restaurant.

The most welcoming family who helped me with all my personal mishaps without hesitation or expectation of reward. Excellent location close to the palace but away from the noise. I extended my stay! Loved the banana pancakes for breakfast and great coffee 😀
Most places in Bali are still recovering from COVID. They were hit harder than any of us can imagine. Landlords are slowly uplifting their properties. Nothing I didn't like at all!

This was my best stay in bali. The location is in middle of the Ubud market, you can find everything at your doorstep. The staff makes you feel like are you are at home. They sang Hindi songs for us, I have never felt so comfortable at any stay. They provided us with authentic Balinese breakfast. The owner himself took us for a full day trip around Bali and the rates he offered were cheaper than what we enquired elsewhere. Coming to the room and the property it was very artistic,it felt like a small palace rooms, everything is very beautiful.
The only thing was we didn't get hot water for bath.
