Cosy, clean, close to everything

It’s a very cosy, modern and quiet place, with a great little garden. The couple owning the place is wonderful and do everything to make you feel at home! It’s situated in the very center of Ubud but yet so calm and peaceful. I would recommend this any day!

The only negative is the accessibility: there are some steps to go up and down to come to the property, but everything was well lit up during night so it’s not a problem.

Access is via a busy market street, good if you want to be right in the middle of town, but a little sensory overload on arrival, however great value for money

Peace and quiet close to the centre

Hidden away at the bottom of the family compound, once you were in your room the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre disappeared despite how close it was There are steep steps down to the accommodation and then up again if on the top floor. The lovely hosts will carry luggage up and back but no handrails if you need them. Breakfast is brought to your balcony each morning, eggs or pancakes and a plate of fruit. A hot thermos, tea, coffee and sugar are refreshed each morning. If you take milk you will need to buy it but there is a fridge to keep it in. It is a homestay, bugs will get in (they light a mosquito coil outside your door each evening), the shower has a trick to get hot water but it is a little bit of peace within walking distance to pretty much everything.

You can't get dropped off by car here. You will need to walk up Jl Kajeng and the sign is faded so you may walk past (as I did) because you are distracted by the markets. Trust Google maps!

Amazing location, excellent value, feels like home.

Amazing central location yet so peaceful, and such beautiful kind and caring hosts. This was my second visit and it really felt like coming home. Excellent value for money. I’ll be returning here for sure.

Pleasant stay.

Clean room, quiet place down the end of a house compound. Friendly and helpful owners cleaned room daily and served simple breakfast on time.

Room has a musky smell when closed. As the nights were still cool, I slept with the windows opened - it definitely helped!

Wonderful secret little place hidden in a quiet green oasis in the heart of Ubud

Wow. What a wonderful secret little guest house hidden in a quiet green oasis in the heart of Ubud. We loved it so much that we extended with an extra week. The family running the place are very competent, kind and serviceminded. Just hours after we pointed out that the WiFi was a bit slow they put up a new router in the tree just outside our room. The entrace to the guest house is a wonderful little adventure - you first pass through a little temple before you enter the cozy little yard of the local family running the place - birds, cats, geese, chickens - before you arrive at the hidden green oasis. Did I mention that the breakfast is good and healthy - and that the rooms a clean and that you will have a wonderful little veranda all by yourself? Highly recommended.

Brilliant homestay - clean, safe, friendly, central location

5/5* Brilliant hotel - Beautiful, peaceful, quiet setting (set back from roads). - Central location of Ubud. - Easy walking distance to many shops and sights. - Lovely family-owned hotel. Friendly, kind and helpful. Thank you to Ketut, Putu and Ena. - Great English communication skills. - Helped to arrange a great driver for airport transfer and other journeys at a good price. - I felt safe throughout my time here, which was important to me as a female solo traveller. - Delicious breakfast. - Nice provision of tea and coffee. - Nice balcony to sit out and enjoy the wildlife. - Very clean throughout, including the rooms, furniture and linen. I’ve also stayed at 5* hotels in Ubud, and Artja Inn was in many ways better. I’ve already recommended to friends and would definitely come back. Thank you!

Nice and quiet place in ubud center

Family that runs the place is kind and attentive to guests' needs. Asked them about Ubud tours that could be availed and they recommended a good car and a driver who's also their relative and lives in the same compound as the inn. Very good location. Though within a very busy area, it was quiet.

The steps leading to the inn could be slippery.

A great place with no fuzz and good value value for money. Very clean and quiet garden setting just three minutes by foot to Ubud's mainroad with lots of bars, restaurants and entertainment. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I'd come here any time again.

In a great location, kind and friendly host, delicious breakfast, good wifi and great value for money.

The air vents by the sliding doors and windows had to grates on which meant bugs and geckos came in. Geckos weren’t a problem but I didn’t get bitten during the night serval times.

we loved the location, right in the heart of Ubud. You walk through a family home to your accommodation out the back. very quiet and peaceful after a day of activities. perfect for couples or families with older children. you could book out all four rooms for a group. very well priced.

Great location with the loveliest staff. The room is basic (as you'd expect for the very reasonable price), but perfectly comfortable. We loved the breakfast, and the beautiful gardens :-)

Quiet oasis in Ubud

We loved the lush jungle gardens surrounding the hotel. It is situated in a quiet area away from the busy streets of Ubud. The location is central and excellent. We spent our evenings watching traditional dance and chanting which was in a short walking distance. A very nice breakfast was brought to our room in the morning. The owner provided hot water for tea and coffee throughout the day.

Pretty Homestay

The location is great and quiet too yet close enough to easily walk everywhere. The rooms look out onto a very pretty garden so breakfast on your porch is lovely

The room was a bit simple and the bathroom was run down. You have to walk through a temple and then down a random walkway to get out to the rooms. It’s not great at night and then there’s a steep stairwell to contend with. Not suitable for mobility issues or people with very heavy backpacks like us

Buena relación calidad precio

La familia que lo lleva es encantadora. Aunque estas en pleno centro la habitación es muy tranquila y no se escucha nada de fuera. Habitación espaciosa y te llevan el desayuno a la mesa de la terracita a la hora acordada.

Las camas no me parecieron muy cómodas. Por todo lo de las genial.
