This property is lovely, very cheap, rooms are nice, outdoor bathroom is a nice touch. We were right by the pool as well. It’s no frills, no restaurant, you do for yourself, we loved it.

Can’t complain, it was great

There are so many things that I Iiked about this place. The location was perfect. It is right in the center of Ubud just 10 minutes walk to Ubud Palace but it is in a quiet street, therefore it is far away from the hustle and bustle. Every morning, the only noise I was hearing was the twittering of the birds. It was so peaceful. The guesthouse is actually the house of a traditional Balinese family, so the owners live within the complex as well. Made, who is the owner of the house, was such a sweet lady. She was always smiling and making you feel as part of the family. The place is so green and full of statues of Hindu Gods. Every morning Made was burning incenses with nice fragrances and leaving offerings all around the property. It was great to be in a traditional home and observe the Balinese traditions. One day, I asked Made, if she could burn an incense, pray for me and bless me to remove the negative energies around me. She was kind enough to do it. She even lended me her own sarong and traditional belt (because you have to wear a sarong while getting blessed) The room was spacious, clean and well designed. Of course, my favorite was the half open bathroom where I could take a shower under the stars. It is a great place to stay for such a good price. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Bali. A side note for Turkish readers: There is a nice Turkish Restaurant called "Sumak" on the same street, just a few steps away from this guest house. This guest house doesn't serve breakfast so you can have delicious Turkish breakfast at Sumak restaurant. Of course, if you want to taste traditional Balinese breakfast, there are small local warungs on the same street where you can have coffee and traditional Balinese breakfast. To conclude, don't hesitate a minute to book this lovely guest house.

There were only big bath towels, there wasn't any small towel for hands and face. And the bath towels, even though they were clean, when they get wet, they had a weird smell so you can't use them for the second time. This was not a big issue for me but it would be good if they change the towels with better quality ones.

Room was clean. Outdoor bathroom was cute with a little shelter over the sink/toilet area (which I could also put in "dislikes" because when it rains hard, everything gets wet). Owner was friendly, and grounds were mostly clean. Lots of plants and greenery.

No breakfast provided even though the description said there was breakfast. The owner was hardly around - a couple of times I went to ask him something and just couldn't find him. The location is great if you love the crazy busy loud tourist section of Ubud, but I did not. The pool was very small. Couldn't make the hot water work for my first outdoor shower, and then it was temperamental after that.
